Chapter 16: Chapter 16
“Let’s go back inside,” he muttered before leading me the way. Ethan carried the bag at ease, even though I think it was heavy. I run up to his side, offering my help.
“Do you want me to help you with that? It looks heavy.” I told him and was about to touch the bag when he snatched it away from my grip. When I looked at his face, he smiled at me, but I knew it was not his genuine smile.
“It’s okay, I got it. You can go inside and let me do the rest,” Ethan exclaimed. His eyes told me I should follow him or something dreadful would happen. I gulped, then took a step back, suddenly uncomfortable with how he stared at me. Ethan smiled and grabbed my hand carefully, pulling me closer to his side.
“I’m sorry. I just don’t want to tire you. I can handle all of these. Just go back to our room.” he mentioned.
I nodded, understanding what he wanted to say. We were about to head off towards the doors when Bobby suddenly returned. Ethan’s hands loosened on my grip, and we both looked at Bobby, who was happily wiggling his tail when he saw Ethan. I kneeled down and was about to hug him when he suddenly stopped.
“Bobby? What’s wrong, baby?” I asked when I noticed his ears dropped, and his eyes looked seemingly scared. He was still wiggling his tail, but he seemed scared while approaching me. I followed his eyes where he was looking when my eyes landed on Ethan, who was confused.
“What’s wrong? It’s me.” he spread his arms, asking Bobby to hug him. Bobby was hesitant. He looked at me, and I nodded, gesturing to him that it really was his Daddy.
Bobby gradually took a step forward closer to him. He sniffed Ethan carefully before he could finally ease down. My brows furrowed before looking at Ethan, who was petting Bobby. I don’t get it. Why did Bobby suddenly look anxious when he got home? Did he smell something from him that made him doubt?
“It’s okay, boy. I am here. Don’t need to worry.” Ethan exclaimed, hugging him tightly. Bobby suddenly went cheerful but unlike before. As if he was keeping his guard up. Ethan let go of Bobby and went inside the house. I glanced down at him to see him watching Ethan. I stroke his head.
“What’s the matter?” I asked, and Bobby just barked before following Ethan. I scratch my arms, processing what just happened. I shrugged my shoulders, probably just overthinking before following them.
Ethan was in the kitchen, unpacking the goods he bought when he saw me. He beamed.
“Do you want me to cook something for you?” he asked, and I shook my head. I walked next to him, looking at the bag.
“Let me help you unpack it-”
“By the way, I have something for you.”
I stopped mid-air when Ethan showed me a red velvet box. My eyes widened in shock when he opened it and an ample gem reflected in my eyes. I covered my mouth with my hands when he kneeled on the floor. Is this for real? Right now? I don’t know what to say. I was speechless when Ethan took my hand and brought it to his lips.
I know he has been calling me his wife for some time now, but never would I have thought he would actually propose to me. Ethan slowly slid the ring onto my finger, and a tear escaped from my eyes when he closed his eyes and kissed the tip of it.
“I know our story didn’t have a good impression, but I will make sure, Natasha, our last page will end with a blissful one.” he smiled before standing up while holding both of my hands.
“I will always love you, Natasha,” he whispered soothingly.
I closed my eyes and let him kiss me one last time before taking a step back. Ethan glanced at me as if I were the most precious gem he had seen in his life. This man is always amusing. He had this surprise that would make you speechless.
I decided to go upstairs to take a shower. Ethan and Bobby were left downstairs in the kitchen, taking care of the goods he bought. While scrubbing my legs, I heard Bobby’s whispers echo throughout the house. I immediately went out of the bathroom and rushed down to the kitchen to see what was happening. I didn’t care if I was naked. Bobby is crying!
“Bobby! What’s happened?!”
I saw him limping on the ground, crying while trying to crawl to my spot. The sight is enough to make me cry. I kneeled down on the floor to stoke his beaten paw. I heard footsteps coming toward us, and I saw Ethan, who stopped when he saw us.
“Natasha!” he was shocked to see me naked. I furrowed my eyebrows and stood up straight while hugging Bobby. I don’t care if I saw naked. He was used to seeing me like this running around bared.
“What happened to him? Did you hit him?”
Ethan was looking down between my legs when he shook his head, looking flattered suddenly.
“I didn’t! Believe me! I was doing something in the cabinet, and Bobby wanted to play with me. So, I put him on the table, but he fell.”
I glanced at Bobby, who was still whimpering, but he buried his face in my chest and didn’t want to look at Ethan. I walked toward him. My brows were knitted together.
“Ethan, you should know better. You don’t usually put Bobby on the table since you know he can’t handle high places.”
“I-I’m sorry….” he muttered before looking down. I sighed, then held his cheeks with my right hand, caressing them.
“It’s okay. Accidents happen. I’ll put Bobby upstairs and will treat him. Continue what you are doing here, okay?”
He didn’t say anything for a minute since his eyes were wandering all over my body. I was used to it, but the way he stared hit something different. I smiled to ease down the awkwardness before turning around. The moment I walked out, that’s when my smile suddenly vanished.
Something has been wrong with him ever since he came back. But what is it?
I shook my head. I must be overthinking some things. I glanced down at Bobby, who was silently crying. I kissed his forehead and told him that Mommy was here and I would take care of him. When we reached our destination, I unexpectedly locked the door and tucked Bobby onto the bed before doing my things. I chose a dress that matched my ankles. I glimpse at Bobby, who was sleeping soundly. I sighed and was about to stroke his head when someone knocked on the door.
I jumped in surprise, but I remembered that it was just Ethan. I twisted the doorknob and opened it to see him standing there, looking apologetic. I arched my brows and then crossed my arms, waiting for him to say something. We just stood there for a couple of minutes, feeling each other’s presence, before he decided to finally speak.
“I’m sorry for what happened to Bobby. It was a mistake I forgot.”
I stared at him while he was explaining himself. I shook my head and then chuckled before grabbing his hand.
“It’s okay. Bobby is resting for now. But please, next time, be mindful of what you are doing to him. Okay?” I plead while caressing the back of his hand.
I glanced down at it surprisingly since his hands were smoother than before. I was used to his hands, which were rough and veinier. He coughed, causing me to look up to see him staring at my lips. I stuck out my tongue to wet it cause it went dry for a second.
“Natasha…”
“Yes?” I asked when he mumbled my name. He suddenly yanked me towards him, and he sealed my lips once again with a kiss. I was too stunned that I didn’t know how to react. His grip tightened around me, and his kiss went more profound and brutal, almost bruising my mouth.
“E-Ethan!” I tried to push him away since this is not how he would kiss me, but he held both of my cheeks and then bit my tongue. He was ravishing my whole mouth when I gathered my strength to push him away, giving me personal space.
“Stop it. You were almost eating me.” I frowned while pursing my lips. Ethan scoffed, then closed his eyes,
“I’m sorry I got carried away. I just missed you so much,” he muttered lowly before embracing me.
I furrowed my eyebrows, suddenly confused by his sudden actions. I know Ethan can be sweet sometimes, but this gives me major off vibes. Did something happen while he was away? He was gone for hours exactly, almost consuming half of the day. I couldn’t blame him for acting this way since his wolf form is now long gone. He can’t travel quickly.
“I understand, Ethan.” I smiled, then angled my head, giving him access to my body. Ethan beamed, then lifted my body, wrapping his arms around my delicate waist before kicking the door behind us to a separate room.
“You won’t be needing this.” he lay me down on the bed. Our eyes were staring at each other’s souls. He touched the hem of my dress while looking, asking for permission. I chuckled. He usually doesn’t ask me, but I nodded. When he took off my dress, my nakedness was now exposed.
He let out a curse while his eyes wandered over my body. I didn’t cover them since he had already seen them before. Instead, I spread my legs widely, letting him see my core. Ethan bobbed his adam’s apple up and down.
“I-fuck, you’re gorgeous as ever.” he breathed before diving, devouring my folds and sucking my sensitive flesh.
I whimpered and closed my eyes, arching my back and spreading it more widely for greater access. I was moaning like crazy, but there was something different about how he was eating me right now. I opened my eyes and saw his was closed while massaging my breasts.
”E-Ethan…” I tried to call his name to stop him, but he didn’t. He pushed me onto the bed. His hands were on my waist before kneeling, ready to take me.
