Chapter 10: Chapter 10

Alfredo Verano has been with Catalina all afternoon in her room where she lived with her parents, they usually meet occasionally at her place when her parents are out, and sometimes he sneaks in through her window when her parents are around and he would also leave through the window again and no one would notice.

They both have been seeing each other for a very long time now, they started seeing each other secretly in school about the same time when Alfredo and Lora began to see each other, only they never knew it would last this long, as they have also started seeing each other in Catalina's house.

For Alfredo, he just wanted to hang out and have fun with any girl in school who showed interest in him and Catalina happens to be one of them, but along the line he began to develop interest in her that he had to follow her to her house, and Catalina also feels the same way.

Catalina knows that Alfredo is seeing some other girls in school as he is a very popular guy but she didn't care because she is also seeing other guys and she just wanted to have fun, what she didn’t know at that time is that Lora her best friend is secretly seeing him too and seeing how happy it made her feel, she decided not to tell her about her involvement with Alfredo since she is going to leave him after all and never thought that Alfredo would last this long with Lora.

“Alfredo.” Catalina called turning around to face Alfredo from her dressing mirror where she sat down on a chair powdering her face.

“Yes my darling.” He replied, lifting his face from a magazine he is looking at which he had picked up from her bed side table to look at her.

“I think Lora is still waiting for you now at your usual hide out.” Catalina said mockingly, observing him from her mirror to see his reaction, seeing that Lora had called Alfredo's cell phone few minutes ago.

“Let her wait, Catalina my darling, she’s not even fun to be with.” Alfredo answered, as he dropped the magazine he was holding and held Catalina’s hand, pulling her closer to himself again.

“I can be with you all day without getting bored or tired, I don’t feel the same way with her.” He continued, his eyes caressing her face and then kissing her gently on the lips.

“You’re such a playboy you know, that poor girl love’s you so much.” Catalina told him, her face lightning up as she runs her fingers through his hair, she was having the time of her life with him.

“Are you not being silly right now, she loves you so much too like you were her own sister.” Alfredo pointed out to Catalina sarcastically, reminding her of their friendship, and anyone who did not notice would think that they were sisters or related by blood, especially since they hang out together more often, and Lora practically has no other friend but her.

“Yes I know, and that’s why I feel guilty sometimes doing this to her you know, am supposed to be her best friend.” Catalina said, pushing him away softly, even though she was enjoying the attention she was getting from him and turned to go back to powdering her face but was stopped by Alfredo who held her hands and pulled her back slowly.

“I know Catalina, but we can’t help it, can we? Am drawn to you in a way I can’t explain you see and I know you feel the same way too, am I right?” Alfredo replied, putting his arms around her waist and gazing into her eyes. He was fallen for her, he knew it because he was drawn to her now than he does with any other girl.

“I feel guilty too that I have to use Lora all for the sake of my school work, you see, I can’t maintain my popularity and have good grades and that’s where she comes in. he added now holding her face in his palms. He had approached Lora in the first place because of a bet he made in school with some of his guys and later after seeing how taken Lora was by him he decided to use her instead to help improve on his grades in school since she was very intelligent.

“So you admit now that you have been using her.” Catalina said, peering into his eyes and slowly pulled his hands away from her face, feeling a little sensitive right now because his confession about his relationship with Lora, not because she cared very much about Lora’s feeling but because of herself.

“Who knows, maybe you are using me as well.” She added after a brief silence and given it a thought, she folded her arms under her breasts and peered steadily into his eyes as if to search for answer to her question in them, knowing that he would not admit to using her in front of her.

“No, no, no my dear, how can you say this to me? You should know how I feel about you by now.” He said in self-defense, shaking his head slight sideways and still peering into her eyes, “I feel differently about you, and you should feel it in the way I speak to you and the way we do it.” He added, referring to when they made love.

Catalina looked at him skeptically still folding her arms under her breasts, wondering if he was deceiving her like he did with Lora now especially now that he mentioned their love making, “I do not know if I should believe you Alfredo, especially after what you just said about Lora just now,” she said, whinny a little bit, as she peered into Alfredo’s eyes.

“Don’t give me that look, and don’t get me wrong either, Lora’s a lovable person.” Alfredo said moving his hands in a way of demonstrating his point. He would not want to be misunderstood by her and would want her to feel like he was playing her like Lora and some of the other girls in school at least not until he was completely sure about his feelings towards her.

“I know she’s brainy but you see she’s not just my standard, I mean look at you Catalina, you’ve got what I need.” He added teasingly, patting her butt and kissing her both boobs tenderly one after the other before lifting his gaze again to peer into her eyes.

Catalina giggled and smiled afterwards and then, gave him a little push when he wanted to kiss her boobs again. “Are you saying it’s over between you two now that we have graduated?” she asked looking into his eyes, she wanted to hear his answer as she felt that he should be with her instead especially since she things she befits him more than Lora.

“Well you can say that, we are through with school.” He answered, making a face. “I’ll just find a way to end things, it’s not like am going to marry her.” He added teasingly again, shrugging his shoulders and winking an eye to Catalina.

Catalina turned around backing him while he put his arms around her neck, she smiled to herself, now she’s going to have him all to herself she thought even though she was not completely sure about her feelings about him.

She really has started developing feelings for this guy and from her judgment he has also developed feelings for her, this wasn’t the plan she had when she started this affair with him, she thought.

“Anyways, I feel sorry for my friend Lora.” She said, as she turned around again to face Alfredo pulling her body on to his.

“Me too, Catalina, me too…” Alfredo said too and wrapped his arms tightly around her, he bent over a little and put his lips against her, as he wanted to have her again, before her parents returned home.
