Chapter 7: Chapter 7
Cookie's standpoint
Who in the world kidnaps someone and not give them food! I am hungry! After getting injected, I woke up in a dark room with Ursula, hungry and annoyed. A starved Cookie is a grumpy Cookie, but try telling idiots that. Ursula's persistent crying was getting on my nerves, really. She got us into this mess by being someone she is not.
Hypocrite.
'Will you stop crying,' I snapped at her. 'I'm starving!'
'I'm sorry,' she sobbed and swallowed her tears.
'What's with you anyway? Your real name is Marilyn?'
'Yes, Marilyn Barley.' and you'll think you know someone. That was the secret she was hiding. Her real identity. Well, she wasn't alone.
'Is your brother some kind of mafia or idiot?'
'Both.'
'Then why the fuck did you leave his protection to live in his enemy's territory!' I yelled angrily, I knew they were hearing me, that was the whole idea. It was obvious she ran away. That would explain her past self. If only these men would think it through too. The situation was minor. I saved his daughter and he coincidentally met me, and alas, here we are.
'This is the only place I hoped he wouldn't check,' she said softly. 'I ran away from him.'
I let my gaze soften. 'Why? Does he treat you bad? Not love you at all?'
'Oh, he loves me alright,' she said with a painful laugh. 'He loves me too much, he is in love with me.'
'He is what?' I asked confusedly.
'In love with me, obsess with me, my body. My mother was his father's second wife, we aren't blood related. At first, he treated me like a sister but along the way, after his father died and he took charge, he changed. It began with always wanting to know who I talk to, where I go to and who I hang out with. It was getting sickening, so bad I couldn't breathe, so I decided to leave and go stay with my mother in Lydia, but that was my first mistake. If I knew, I wouldn't have told him, I should have simply left.' She burst into tears again.
'He raped you?'
'And turned me to his sex slave afterwards, I was his prisoner. I tried to leave, but he threatened my life and my mother's so I had to stay. He's a freaking sexist, prefers rape and abusing to normal sex. I suffered so much, you know the big scar on my back?' I nodded. 'He burnt me. I'm surprise the rest iron scars disappeared. Occasionally, he would use me to satisfy his guest—'
'In conclusion, he's a dick.' I interjected, rolling my eyes to the door. I could hear them approaching, their feet were noisy.
'It is. I'm sorry I lied to you,' she murmured.
I smirked. 'Cookie,'
'What?'
'That's my real name.' I successfully released my bind. I rubbed my wrist with a groan, ignoring Ursula's stunned expression. I untied my legs and gave them a well deserved stretch. 'No, Ursula, I'm not a drug Lord's daughter, just a rebel.' I answered the question she was mentally screaming. The large metal door opened with a puff and a clank, a rusty clank. Lo and behold, Yolanda's suppose father.
'You are awake, good.' He said with an ass smile, at me directly.
'Don't make any witty reply,' I cautioned myself softly. Carlos dropped a chair for Yolanda's dad. He glanced at him before straddling the chair. I admit, he's hot, hot sexy, hottie gorgeous. He had some kind of silver and black hair, one that did wonders to his intimidating face, which was kind of cute at the same time. Now, he had beard; not those bushy, goatee beard or those that look like the great forest of Madagascar, the kind of thin neatly shaved one that added sexiness to his already breathtaking face.
With his arms resting on the top of the chair, I could see the veins of his seriously muscular arms and neck bulging in his tank top. Damn! His chest pumped out and the top greedily clung to his abs. Hot damn! The only thing I didn't like was the badass tattoos on his left hand and neck. The tattoo formed a wristwatch for him, and then another acted as covering on his arm. His tattoos weren't black, colorful ones that made him look like a beautiful art work. He was talking, his slightly plump, glossy but pale red lips were moving so slowly and perfectly. I trailed my eyes to his eyes, green cat eyes with lashes even longer than mine.
He looks like an adorable baby girl! My teddy bear!
'…so you are going to start t—' I started laughing, cutting his words off. Ursula was shaking terribly, like she was cold. What's scary about this man? He is just a girly dude acting block boy. 'I'm sorry, did I say something funny?' He asked sneeringly.
'You are so cute, like a teddy bear. What's your name? I bet your mother named you Teddison—' I continued, laughing loudly.
He bite down on his lip while Carlos chuckled. 'You said I shouldn't kill her, right?' He growled at Carlos.
'Ignore her for Yolanda's sake, you promised.' where is she anyway?
'I'm hungry,' I pouted.
'Give her poison to eat or just shoot her!'
'Why are you yelling?! I was just asking for food! Do you want me to die of starvation?!!!' I yelled back, my voice louder at each sentence. Trust me, my voice is really loud even with the lightness in it.
'Carlos!!!' I think I struck a nerve when I called him cute.
'Viona, please be quiet.' Carlos snapped.
'Okay, am I going to get trafficked? If yes, before you traffic me, let me eat, very important. Two, don't kill my friend, she can give you the information she has; his weaknesses, warehouses and hideouts, she can help you.'
'That is a good offer,' Carlos acknowledged. 'Although I'm guessing you would have done it before, offer or not.'
'The only thing I wish for is for you to kill him for me, make his death painful for everything he has done to me. I know where his treasury is, where his secret mines are and all of that can be yours just like that. Lucius doesn't change, his one big weakness is procrastination. He also has a son, one he is training to take over him, I know his mother's name and location, everything you need.'
'Untie them, her,'
'What about me?' I asked with excitement, waving my hand.
'I'm auctioning you out at the next mafia exchange, for 10 pennies.'
'And then I will dedicate my life to never forgiving you,' my heart leapt with joy at the voice. There she was, with her father's scowl on her face. She's indeed her daddy's girl. 'Dad, you just promised me ten minutes ago that you won't hurt her!'
'That's not what h—'
'Shut up, Carlos, I wasn't talking to you,' she snarled at him. I was starting to see the dangerous her I suspected exist. 'Get out.' Without protest, every one walked out.
'Yolanda, go to your room.' Mr. Teddy said sternly.
'Why? So you can kill her? How could you be so heartless, dad! She saved my life not even up to three days ago!'
'Yolanda, go to your room!!!' He thundered, she flinched back and sank her teeth into her lip. He ran his fingers through his hair angrily and that moment, he looked as if he needed a glass of me in his life. 'Get out.'
'You are evil,' she sobbed. 'Just know this, if you kill her, I will conclude that no human is worth loving, including you. It's either you kill me, or I grow up hating you for the rest of my life, even after I kill you myself!!!' He stared at her with mouth open, looking more adorable than usual. He really did need me in his life. I come with joy and excitement, and cupcakes and rainbow. From how he was staring at her, from the little stories she told me back at mine, he's a ruthless man with a soft spot for her. With the right push, I could create room for myself and give him the happiness he deserves.
I mentally calculated the possibility of the plan. It was a thing for me to declare sunny sunshine on those I can. I knew an easy target when I see one. Although, I could tell that if I didn't trade with caution, I'd be dead within the first weeks. He's kind, I just need to paint his life. My fairy godmother would agree.
They went back and forth about me, if I should live or die. I wasn't really helping my life by wiggling my brows at him every time our eyes met, but it couldn't be helped. 'Dad, please,' she cried, 'have I ever asked you for anything before?' his hard gaze softened, 'I beg you, don't kill her. She can work as my teacher—'
'I don't need a seer to inform me that putting you and her together is signing my death certificate—'
'No, I promise she'll be good' –no I won't– 'I will keep her away from you, I promise.' I will not stay away from him. I raised my hand to speak, but they both yelled a ‘shut it’, which is rude, by the way. I smacked my lips loudly and clicked my tongue. He pointed at me furiously.
'You see that? What stops me from ending her?'
'Me, father, I stop you. This is my first-ever request that means so much. Please, for my sake. I'll keep her under control.' His anger green eyes remained in me. I smiled innocently, blinking at him. He might have been angry, but I knew he was mulling over something else, not even Yolanda's words. He didn't think about it for long. He sighed with defeat.
'Fine,' he looked at Ursula. 'You will be moved to section 3 where you will stay until you prove your loyalty by accurate information. As for you, puttana,' he said averting his eyes to me, again 'You will not only teach her, you will work as a maid, a slave and stay two floors away from me. Don't speak when I speak, don't smile when I smile, don't you dare look me in the eyes or—'
'Don't exist, got it!' I squealed. His eye and fingers twitched. Okay, pushing my luck.
'Ignore her,' Yolanda sighed, exhausted.
'What about school?' Ursula managed to ask.
'Consider yourselves dropouts,'
'Yay! I'm going to be a dropout, again!' I squealed enthusiastically. They all gave me a quizzically look. I shrugged, I didn't lie. I was expelled a lot in the past.
'Yolanda, remember our deal, keep this thing away from me.' That struck my dignity. Thing is an evil word to me.
'Yes, daddy,' he challenged me, he looked at me and called me a thing. If only he knew the thing he was referring to. I will definitely look for him. Teddy carried her up along with him and wiped her tears.
'Why don't we go get ice cream?' He suggested with a dimpled smile. He has dimples, my dream man!
'Yes! Can I buy for them?'
'No.' He deadpanned. Asshole. 'Eh, Carlos and River will be here to take you to your new rooms—'
'I need food,' I cut him off with my whine, 'and yes, it's your business. As your beloved daughter's savior, you should appreciate me properly.' I'm proud of him. Instead of acknowledging my big mouth, he gave me a "I've got my eyes on you" look. I smirked and gave him a "keep looking and they will fall off" look. With a scowl, he exited with Yolanda. Ursula released the breath she didn't know she was holding.
'Vee, are you insane!' She hollered.
'No, hungry,' Carlos and the shot guy walked in, his arm bandaged. He is pretty attractive, not Ryan Gosling attractive but not ugly at all. His kind of prettiness is more like a pretty high school boy. He had a neat crew cut and black eyes that matched his hair and normal muscular structure, not bad, but not good enough for me.
'I really doubt you will last long here,' He said doubtfully.
'Trust me, I won't die yet.' Why? I have a big bad wolf with my name on his forehead. He hasn't seen the last of me.
