Chapter 17: Chapter 17

Cookie's standpoint

My heart painfully rammed against my rib cage, the sound reaching my ears and resonating in my mind. My throat suddenly felt dry with each dangerous step he took towards me. I tried to ignore it by faking oblivious, quietly trying to start the vacuum. But because of my trembling hands and my panicking brain, nailing the tasks was as difficult as giving stupid people respect.

The most frightening thing was how hot I found the whole situation. It made absolutely no sense, but try telling your stubborn body and brain that. Within the brief twenty seconds of him taking his time to advance to my position, my mind already constructed sexy images of him.

Ted in a hot mankini.

Ted wearing a rainbow bunny outfit.

Ted laying on a flowerbed, his hot stuff shielded by roses.

Ted in a gym, in his underwear.

Officer Ted holding his belt, his buttons open.

Sailor Ted with briefs as pants.

Pilot Ted pouring cream into his mouth.

Lifeguard Ted walking out of a sea after saving me.

Gangster Ted flexing his muscles.

Ted licking a cherry.

Ted sucking a cranberry.

Ted kissing me.

Ted… Urgh!

I gave myself a mental smack on the face. No dreaming about the enemy. He was so close, so fucking close to me, then we heard a frightened scream. I jolt around in alert, who's that?

'Ted!' Carlos shouted, running in. 'Ted!'

'What is it?'

'Yolanda! Yolanda!' He screamed, very loudly. Ted ran out, thinking it was something bad, but I already had a clue. I ran out with Carlos. We took the elevator to the yard and that was when the goddess of laughter bewitched me.

Before us was Yolanda sitting on a sun lounge with legs stretched and crossed, a glass of juice in her hand with a straw as she watched the lady from earlier cried out in panic. How did she do it? I don't know, but I certainly loved it! The lady was tied upside down with three coyotes barking under her. Her head was just five inches away from how high they can jump, and that was a big risk.

'Yolanda!' Ted shouted, I was on the floor laughing my stomach out. 'Timmy, Jerry, Bolt, come here!' He shouted at the coyotes.

'Move and I'll shoot you all,' she threatened.

'Fucking girl! I am your father!'

'You broke the rules, deal with it, dad.'

'No, boys, come here!'

'Boys, chase him,' she smirked, pointing at Ted. He gasped, seems like the dogs are hers, not his. 'Now!' They all turned on him, barking furiously.

'Don't come closer or I'll shoot… Shit!' He sprinted, seems like he forgot his gun. 'Somebody, shoot these dogs!!!' He shouted as he ran around trying to escape.

'Shoot them and I shoot you,' Yolanda snapped. One tall guy had the nerve to shoot one of the dogs down, the guts he has. She pulled out a gun I didn't notice before and shot the man right into his brain, everyone froze.

Heh, heh, not me. I forgot popcorn.

The dogs were now mourning their friend while Ted panted for breath. She turned to the lady with a devious smirk and wiggled her brows. 'Please, don't kill me, I'm just a mother struggling to provide for her daughters, please.'

'Oh I know,' she smiled and slurped her drink. 'But I don't care. I will make sure your daughters are well taken care of after your death,' I stood up and walked to her. 'No one breaks my rules, whether unknowingly or knowingly. The fact remains the fact, you crossed my lane.' She pulled the trigger, but I was fast to push the gun up, so the bullet would hit the chain holding her up. She fell to the ground in a thud, a loud cry escaped her mouth because of the height.

'Don't take someone's life so easily, there's a word called karma.' I said with a sweet smile.

'Karma didn't do anything when my mother died after a stressful labor, so why should I care,' she snarled, snatching her hand from mine.

'Because she's human and so are you. Would your mother be proud of you if she sees you now?'

She scoffed and stood up. 'I'm not my mother's daughter, I am my father's destroyer,' she spat with so much coldness I didn't expect a kid to have. She ran her eyes around the field, caught the sight of someone and shot him at his kneecap… Bullseye! 'Get out of my house,' she snapped at the woman and walked out with her hands in her pockets.

Little witch.
