She could feel Adriana walking towards her "Oh my little baby" was all that came to her mind, she heard them call her a few times and with every call it just faded away.

"Sarah!.. Sarah!.." Nathan called her.

"No!..." was the last thing she heard her daughter say before she let loosed, she couldn't fight it anymore, she couldn't hold back.

She died.

"Yen!.. Yen!.. Yen!.." the cry of a baby girl filled the room of an uncompleted building.

Sarah had built a wall or hated this child, and just for the fact that it was a girl, she hated her the most.

"Congratulations ma, it's a baby girl" the woman who helped deliver the baby said.

"She looks so beautiful" she compliments, indeed she was but she a big problem, she was a product of rape, she was her worst mistake,I couldn't help the thoughts that ran through my mind, I laid down there in so much pain .

"Why are you crying?" she asked. She wanted to say everything to her but who knew if she was just like her mother, the woman seems nice, but didn't they all seem nice.

Years went by and she struggled hard to feed herself and her daughter, from one job to the other, she just wanted to make a meaning out of life.

"Make sure to wash all the dishes Sarah," the manager said.

"Yes sir" she replied as she watched him walk out the door, she was quick to take care of the building, in no time she was done.

"Ding ding '' the doorbell of the door to the reception desk rings,it was her daughter and the elderly woman who was surrounded to take care of her still she was back home.

"Is there a problem Mrs Brown?" she was surprised to see them. "Mummy!.. Mummy!.."Adriana ran to go hug her mother.

" Not at all miss Sarah, it's just that I couldn't leave Adriana all alone, the other parents came to

take their kids already and I was supposed to get something for myself which is totally my fault for not telling you, am so sorry for any inconvenience" she told Sarah.

"No, not at all Mrs Brown, I'll just take it up from here, Thanks alot" she said. "It's a pleasure Sarah, Adriana is a good kid" she told her.

"Thanks" she said and pegged her on the cheeks.

Just as Mrs Brown left, the rain she had been avoiding began. "Oh shit! Can this day get any worse" she soliloquy.

"Adriana please just sit your butt down and make a move out of your seat, do you hear me?" she told her daughter.

"Yes mama!" the little infant responded.

She quickly rushed into the toilet and scrubbed it clean then straight to the kitchen to get all the dishes done and before she did the spelling of zip she was done.

She made Adriana some pancakes that she was very much grateful for, just as they were silently eating their food a stranger came knocking at the restaurant door, she showed him the closed sign on the door but this person won't still go away, she wanted to ignore but the constant banging on the door got her upset.

"What the hell do you want punk?" she asked him but froze the minute she realized who was standing in front of her.

Adriana saw the mom looked at this man, she let in, she welcomed him and asked him if he wanted some tea which he had.

Adriana kept asking questions as they began to talk, she found him quite interesting, who wouldn't find Mr Koko Williams interesting, he practically owned the town and her step was serving him hot cup of pure coffee.

It was an honor.

The funeral was a befitting one and tears were shed but no amount could bring her back now. Adriana saw Nathan standing from afar and decided to go talk to him.

"Hey…" Nathan started. "Hi" she sighed out.

"How are you?" he asked. "Coping" she said sobbing. "So… What's next?" he asked.

"What's the way forward?" he asked her.

"Hmm.. What do you think?" she asked him rhetorically. "I'll accept whatever you decide," he said.

"She was my mom," Adriana said.

"I know that," he said.

"And.. And as painful as this is… I.. I own her that much" she told him. "But Adriana.." he called her name walking closer to her.

"No.. Please.. Please… PlPlease don't make this even harder than it is" she told him sobbing. "Alright.. But please if I am ever needed.. Am a phone call away" he told her.

"I'll remember that," she said, trying to calm herself down.

Without further conversation Nathan wrapped her in his arm maybe one last time, they hugged for a few moments, both sobbing and hurt, Adriana doesn't know what her body was capable of but for sure her mind already told her what she wanted, the minute she broke the hug and turned her back to leave, Nathan got a grip of her hand, retaining her from leaving his sight.

She turned to face him, she knew she loved this man but no.. She can't do it, she just couldn't, she slowly realised herself from him and walked back to her father and Ohma who have been waiting patiently for her.

Nathan knew he had nothing left, nothing but pains and regret to keep him company.
