Chapter 10: Chapter 10

.

PRESENT DAY(10 HOURS EARLIER)...

"I can't wait to say I do!.." Adriana said, jumping excitedly. "I can't wait too," Nathan said.

"Who's going to be the latest couple in town?" Adriana asked Nathan.

"Uhm m.." Nathan pretending to be thinking. "It's us, silly," Adriana said laughing. "Gosh!.. I was almost close!" he said.

"Hahahahaha, my love I can't believe we are counting days to our wedding" Adriana said to Nathan as they walked in a beautiful garden full of other lovers who admired them.

"I know right, it's amazing," he told her.

"We are really counting days, in a couple of days we are gonna be married and you're going to be my wife…" he said as they both chuckled together.

"Yes!" she exclaimed.

"It's gonna be so cool, I'm gonna have a lot of fun at the bachelor's party... And Hmmm some ladies too" she told her but she didn't say a word.

"Ladies?!.." Adriana asked him, as she realized herself from him to look at his face. "I'll be on fire," he said.

"Oh Really?!.." she said. "What?" he asked.

"No.. Nothing at all" she told him and waved him off playfully. "I see," he said and reached out to take her back into his arms.

"Hmmm well worry less hunny, am going to be in the fire extinguishing department Woah!.. Woah!... Woah!... " she said, sounding like a fire truck and they both burst into laughter.

"Well… I'll be having a lot of fun with my girls too at the bridal party and I can't just wait" she said.

"Really" he asked.

"Yes!.." She said.

"So.. Any plans for boys strippers?" he asked rhetorically.

"Uhm m" she replied, making her face look like she was in deep thought. "Really?!" he said and burst into laughter.

"What?" she Said holding herself back from laughing but she could not hold for long as they both burst into laughter and kept talking as they made their way out of the garden kissing and holding hands.

A sound of soft relief was all that Mr Williams made as him and his wife entered their bedroom.

"I don't like the fact that our only daughter is getting married to that man," Mrs Williams said to her husband.

"And to think of the wedding coming up next week is driving me nuts" she complained but Mr Williams who was busy undressing from the attire he wore said nothing at the moment.

"Come to think of it, am I really trying to get why you hate this young man so much?" he asked his wife.

"I mean that young man is a promising man and our daughter loves him and talking about comfortability, he looks like someone who's going to take good care of her just perfect "he told her.

It's not about money honey, no!.. It's not about the money, don't get me wrong, I just don't like this boy"she said as she walked closer to her husband standing right in front of the wardrobe.

"Oh darling, you know I'm always going to support you, but until you give me a good reason why you don't like this boy, the wedding will be held next week," he said, making his way to keep the cloth in his hand.

Without any more conversation Mr Williams made his way to the bathroom, leaving Mrs Williams to worry over whatever was wrong with her.

To him, Nathan was perfect for his daughter.

Few minutes after Mr and Mrs Williams had a small conversation about their daughter's wedding and their first in law, they went down to meet Adriana and Nathan grinning widely at Adriana's phone but they immediately stood up the moment they noticed them around.

"Ahhhhh.. What a happy couple" Mr Williams said addressing Adriana and Nathan.

"Daddy!..." Adriana called out to her father, she ran to him and hugged him in a friendly way.

"Hello pretty angel, you look so beautiful" he compliments her

"Awwwn.. You don't look bad yourself dad" she told him and pegged him on the cheek. "No tell me, How are you dad?" she asked.

"Did you miss me?" she asked, smiling widely.

"Of Course I did, especially now that you'll be leaving" he said.

"Awwwn… Daddy, am not leaving, am just getting married... and you know I'll always come to see the both of you and I'll always love you and mom" she said now giving attention to her mother who has been standing there silent.

"I thought all the love was for daddy" she said, holding back her hate for the fact her daughter is going to be getting married to the man in front of her.

"Mama" Adriana called her mother as she realised herself from her father's grip to go meet her mother.

"Is someone getting jealous" Mr Williams asked his wife as he walked towards Nathan and took his hands in a hand shake.

He asked how the wedding planning was coming up and if he was financially comfortable with everything, his response was a bit fishy but he concluded everything was going well, just as everyone was trying to settle in, Mrs Williams called out to Nathan.

"Can I have a word with you Nathan?" she said.

"Oh… OK ma" he started but followed Mrs Williams as she led the way to where she wanted to have a private conversation with him.

"Dad.." Adriana's cracked voice called her father.

"It's going to be fine, baby , calm down," he told his daughter.

"I just hope she doesn't say anything nasty to him" Mr Williams said to his daughter who walked toward him the minute they both left.

"It doesn't matter, I am getting married to him next week and it's final, it's what matters most" Adriana said to her father.

"And whatever happens, I've got your back baby" he said as he wrapped her in a hug.

"Thanks daddy" she replied, hugging him back.
