Chapter 2179: Chapter 2179
"Yes, we'll go with you!" said several people from the Beigong War God camp hurriedly.
The three Crystal Skulls stepped back, and the Second City Lord laughed awkwardly, "Big brother, we'll go back to rest first then!"
Su Yang glanced at everyone, shook his head, and said, "The rest of you, go back to rest, and keep an eye on any movements in the Eight Realms."
Then Su Yang turned to the three Crystal Skulls: "You three, come with me!"
"Why?" The Second City Lord almost spat out blood, "Big brother, didn't you say we should go back and rest?"
"You all aren't included," Su Yang replied.
"Damn it, this isn't fair!" the Second City Lord said urgently.
"Fairness doesn't apply to you, does it?" Su Yang shot him a glance. This guy was getting a bit too bold, had he forgotten his place?
Ye Wantong was still unwilling to give up: "Su Yang, let those three stay, and I'll go with you!"
"No!" Su Yang resolutely shook his head, "I have reasons for choosing who goes with me. You all cannot come, only these three can!"
Everyone looked towards the three Crystal Skulls, and the four people from the Beigong War God camp nodded slowly, understanding Su Yang's reasoning.
Not to mention, these three Crystal Skulls could pass through Storm Valley, something no one else could do. So, it made sense for them to accompany Su Yang.
Ye Wantong wanted to say something, but Qi Zhishan stopped her.
"Miss Ye, rest assured, with those three following Su Yang, nothing will happen!" Qi Zhishan said.
Ye Wantong bit her lip and nodded helplessly. She had heard from the director that the Magic Cave was dangerous and wanted to go with Su Yang.
However, Su Yang would never let Ye Wantong go.
He didn't know what exactly was in the Magic Cave, but considering that the Dean and the third-generation Martial God were trapped inside, it must be very dangerous.
Thus, Su Yang had to be well-prepared. At the very least, those who followed him had to have strong survival abilities.
The fact that these three Crystal Skulls could pass through Storm Valley indicated their strong ability to survive, making them the most suitable companions.
As for the others, they did not have the skills that the three Crystal Skulls possessed. If they encountered something extraordinary, they wouldn't be able to handle it. So Su Yang could only choose these three to accompany him.
After arranging matters in the Human World, Su Yang immediately took the three guys and headed straight for the Devil's Delta.
On the way, the Second City Lord grumbled unhappily, "Another adventure. Who knows what bigwig has their lair here. Do you think we three might get hung up and whipped again?"
Su Yang, hearing this from the front, was suddenly at a loss for words. He remembered that these three were notorious thieves with quite a few enemies. If there was indeed some ancient figure in the Magic Cave, they might recognize them and give them a beating.
However, despite this possibility, Su Yang would not let them return. Anyway, they would be the ones getting beaten, not Su Yang.
Besides, Su Yang realized that although these three got caught and beaten, no one wanted their lives—just a beating. This suggested that while they were detestable, they hadn't reached the level of deep-seated hatred. Therefore, bringing them along wasn't overly risky, and perhaps encountering some familiar old faces might even spark memories.
The Devil's Delta was an expanse of ocean, vast in area.
This place had long been shrouded in various legends. It was eerie—planes would lose signal flying over, ships would disappear mysteriously, and countless strange happenings were reported here every year.
Before Su Yang began his cultivation, he used to view these as myths or science fiction stories. But now, it seemed, this place really wasn't simple.
What was the Magic Cave beneath, anyway?
Lost in thought, Su Yang and the three Crystal Skulls found themselves directly above a ship.
"Let's go down and take a look!" Su Yang immediately descended.
The three Crystal Skulls hesitated, unwilling to go down. The Second City Lord whispered, "Big brother, maybe we shouldn't go down…"
Before he could finish, Su Yang grabbed them from afar and yanked them down.
The strength of these three wasn't much weaker than Su Yang, but the problem was, having great strength, would they dare defy Su Yang?
Reluctantly dragged down by Su Yang, the three guys entered the ship, where a layer of dust greeted them.
This ship, who knew how long it had been here, collected dust in many places.
Su Yang and his companions surveyed the inside and outside but found no signs of struggle or conflict. The ship was void of any people.
According to investigations by the director, there were originally hundreds of people on board. Now, no one was left. What on earth happened?
Moreover, what event occurred that left no traces, causing everyone to vanish?
With questions in mind, Su Yang went to the side of the ship and looked down.
Beneath the blue sea was pitch black, resembling a beast ready to devour anyone, instilling fear just by looking at it.
Su Yang, however, paid no heed to all this, thought for a moment, and jumped straight into the water.
The three Crystal Skulls followed Su Yang, although reluctantly. Having come this far, they had no choice but to go along.
The sea was deep. Su Yang and his companions dived approximately three thousand meters down before feeling an invisible pull.
"This is the place!" Su Yang said solemnly, "Stay close to me, let's check it out!"
The three Crystal Skulls stayed close, for at this point, they couldn't break free from the pull.
By the time they noticed the pull, it was already too strong to escape.
Su Yang didn't intend to resist either; he allowed the pull to drag him downward.
The three Crystal Skulls tried to struggle, but eventually realized it was futile. The pull's strength was beyond their capability to oppose.
"What's down there?" muttered the Second City Lord, "Could it be some fearsome beast?"
"Shut your damn mouth!" the Great City Lord scolded. To talk like that in such an atmosphere was inviting trouble.
The Second City Lord smacked his lips, muttering softly, "I was just saying it casually, is it necessary to react ? Hopefully, nothing's there. If there is, we'll be prepared, right? Big brother, what do you think?"
Su Yang ignored him because in the darkness, he saw a massive black opening.
