Chapter 615: Chapter 615

Jade stared with a trace of oddity flickering across her face, why did the Red-clothed Sister’s voice sound so strange? It was like a man’svoice, and so familiar at that!

Just when Jade thought she had heard wrong, suddenly, the Red-clothed Sister standing in front turned her head, allowing Jade to catch sight of his appearance.

Jade’s eyes widened, she stepped back in fright several times, wasn’t this Emperor Qingmu?

How could he, how could he be dressed ?

The legendary cross-dressing?

Seeing the shock on Jade’s face, Qiu Zhenze’s mouth twitched nearly imperceptibly, feeling like the act had flopped. Fortunately, the camera was focused on He Jinxia at the moment and hadn’t panned to his side, so the director hadn’t called cut.

"Good, continue!", shouted the director.

With the cue, Qiu Zhenze slowly began, "Regarding your origin, I just discovered a clue, I was locating you when unexpectedly, Peony pushed you into the replicated Reincarnation Mirror."

Jade, hearing him say this, recalled her previous memories and lowering her head somewhat sheepishly, she said,

"Palace Master, I really panicked just now, I saw you appear beside me and wanted you to save me. In my haste, I pulled you along, not expecting that it would implicate you."

Bai Ze’s expression eased slightly, however, in the next second, he became visibly uncomfortable.

All Jade had to say was, "Palace Master saved me from the Kunlun Mirror’s Mirror World, allowing me to see a wider world, yet I implicated the Palace Master into becoming a woman, I, Jade, am truly ashamed to face the Palace Master..."

Suddenly, the director’s voice rang out, frowning, he said, "Bai Ze, your facial expression is wrong. Your character is supposed to be gentle as jade, gentle as jade! ᴛhis chapter is ᴜpdated by noᴠelfire.net

That is kind, compassionate, affable, good-tempered... So even if Jade implicated you, you wouldn’t take it to heart, much less make a harsh expression. Let’s reshoot this line!"

The two returned to their original positions, with He Jinxia and Qiu Zhenze taking the script from the crew to review their lines and the expressions to follow. A few minutes later, the scene restarted, right from Jade’s last spoken words.

As the clapboard sounded, He Jinxia, playing Jade, guiltily said, "Palace Master saved me from the Kunlun Mirror’s Mirror World, and showed me..."

On camera, Bai Ze’s expression remained unchanged, his eyes as clear as always, emanating a sense of serenity and tranquility, despite the glaring red women’s attire, he still radiated a saintly aura.

Once Jade finished speaking, Bai Ze said, "You needn’t feel too guilty, I haven’t completely become a woman; it’s just that the rules of the imitation Reincarnation Realm have affected me, requiring me to move through the Mirror World in women’s clothing. With my power, I should be able to break these rules within four days."

Jade relaxed inwardly, the heaviness on her face swept away, and she asked curiously, "Palace Master, aren’t you one of the most powerful emperors in Heaven? How is this imitation Reincarnation Mirror so powerful that it can confine you for four days?"

Bai Ze smiled faintly, saying nonchalantly, "It’s because I choose to be confined for four days; I could break the Reincarnation Mirror now if I wished, but doing so would also destroy it.

Though this mirror is but an imitation, it possesses some power and is quite the magic treasure. It would be a pity to destroy it just like that."

Jade followed wherever the Palace Master went, having an epiphany, she said, "So that’s how it is."

Coming upon a thought, Jade’s eyes gleamed cunningly as she said, "Palace Master is kind-hearted, a blessing for all the demons, no, elves of the World!"

Following a kind-hearted Palace Master, us weak, pitiful, helpless elves won’t be bullied, homeless, or have to suffer the harshness of wind, sun, and rain anymore."

Bai Ze shook his head and said, "You, though gifted with exceptional talent for cultivation and also ambitious, are just a bit mischievous and speak without thinking. You still need some polishing."

Yuling couldn’t help feeling wronged and turned her head away, thinking to herself how her words could be thoughtless. She was clearly complimenting the Palace Master!

Of course, no one on the scene could hear Yuling’s inner thoughts, but that didn’t matter as long as everyone knew that this was how the script was supposed to play out.

In the scene, Bai Ze seemed to have heard Yuling’s inner thoughts, smiling helplessly and speaking in a light tone,

"Still think you speak with consideration? Haven’t you thought about it? Since you’ve become an elf able to transform into human form, why wouldn’t you change into a human and find shelter under a roof when it’s windy, sunny, or rainy?"

"Some elves have mana strong enough to not fear the challenges of natural weather at all, it’s only you, this little leaf spirit, who stretches your vines over to the roof of the academy to learn to read and write, unimpeded by wind, sun, or rain."

"So engrossed in listening that you completely forget to use spells to protect yourself, it’s no wonder that when I found you, you were discarded in a pile of rubbish."

The reason for being thrown into the rubbish was, of course, that the vines Yuling controlled had grown too long and dense, blocking the sunlight from a room in the academy, so the academy’s gardener had cut them down.

It’s hard to say whether her devotion to reading was commendable or just silly.

When Yuling heard about her own embarrassing past deeds, she couldn’t help but say anxiously, "Palace Master, it’s been two thousand years, why are you still bringing that up!"

Peony Fairy actually didn’t know many things, like the incident two thousand years ago when Emperor Qingmu set out to find elves throughout the World but reportedly found none, which wasn’t accurate.

Emperor Qingmu did find an elf, but unfortunately, it was one gravely injured and close to death that couldn’t even maintain its human form.

To help Yuling recover, Emperor Qingmu personally grafted her body back together, allowing her to regenerate bit by bit with the Power of Nature, saying he would take her up to Heaven a thousand years later.

Yuling knew the Palace Master was a good person, not only because he had saved her life but also because he would often come to check on her.

The Palace Master would frequently wander the Mirror World within the Kunlun Mirror, seemingly in search of something. When he couldn’t find it, he would sometimes visit her.

Emperor Qingmu exuded a strong natural aura, which Yuling adored immensely, so she would always wrap her vines around his hand, begging for some Spiritual Energy.

At first, Emperor Qingmu would flick her little vines, teasing her as naughty and transferring Spiritual Energy to her, but later on, the Great Emperor refused to do so, saying she couldn’t bear it.

She waited and hoped, and after a great deal of difficulty, she finally transformed back into her human form, regained her original mana, and remembered that her name contained the character "Yu," so the Palace Master personally named her "Yuling."

The director’s voice came from afar, pulling He Jinxia back to reality. She immediately stopped walking; otherwise, they were going to walk into a wall.

This scene was completed entirely before a green screen, with special effects used to turn it into a scene like those found in the Mortal World’s fairytales.

The director was quite straightforward this time, saying, "Not bad, that’s a pass! Take a break and then continue filming!"
