Chapter 315: Chapter 315

Chapter 315 An Expensive Gift

Leon Williams was astonished by their reactions. He was not expecting that from them.

He grabbed the bottle of wine and coldly said, "If you don't want to drink it, I will!"

Although he felt insulted, he also hoped that the wine would taste good. Or else he's doomed and would make a fool of himself in front of them.

As Leon Williams tasted it, Penny blurted out and pointed towards the bottles of old wine, "If you want to drink, then go ahead and drink. Suit yourself. But don't do it here. That kind of junk would degrade the status of Moon Hotel!" After seeing Penny's sarcastic reaction, Leon Williams understood why Tina was different from her sister.

To get along with people like Penny and Myra every day, it was inevitable not to be affected by them.

"Are the grapes also rotten?" Leon Williams smiled coldly then opened one of the bottles. "You think this isn't that good? We shall see. But I'm assuming this would taste far better than those of the other wines available because this is vintage. Just like the brands, this too underwent several procedures. You people are so ignorant because you don't have that touch of appreciation." He added.

Leon Williams filled his glass and tasted the wine carefully. He wanted to differentiate a thirty-year-old wine from that of the new ones.

The commotion was seen by Tina, and she felt so embarrassed again by Leon Williams. For her, Leon Williams just made fun of himself and her cousin. He also looked very much like a clown at that gathering.

She thinks that although Penny was a little emotional, she was an elite lady after all. She's pretty sure that Penny knows a lot about grapes too. Tina didn't speak and shook her head in disappointment. She just wanted time to pass quickly and finish the party real soon.

She was getting bored already and didn't know what else to do, so she took out her cell phone. She checked it, scrolled up and down, and there, she found a familiar name. She immediately felt comfortable talking to him over the internet because of his perky personality. So every time Tina feels bad or in trouble of any sort, she would confide in him.

They became so close and talked about anything and everything under the sun. They spent hours and hours chatting. So this time was no exception. She kept on chatting with him while eating. After pouring it all out to him, Tina was in a much better mood.

Without knowing who the other person was, how he looks like, and his appearance, Tina still felt comfortable telling him what was on her mind. She spoke freely as if she's known him for a long time. "Thank you for your guidance. I'm in a much better mood now." Tina said.

"I'm just here if you need somebody to talk to. And soon, you will receive a gift." He responded cheerfully.

"No, really. Thank you very much for taking the time to enlighten me even though you are so busy." Tina said.

"Tina, I hope you can be happy every day, and I hope we can maintain this friendship for a long time."

Tina was in awe. She didn't expect that from him.

The fact that they haven't seen each other personally simply means that between the two of them, somebody might just be faking the friendship. But it felt real for Tina. With those words, she couldn't help but put a big smile on her face. Then suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

Outside stood a clerk from the Italian Jewelry Store. People immediately knew where he was from because he was wearing his uniform.

Then they saw the beautifully packaged box that he was holding in his hands.

"What are you doing here? You have no business here." Tony impolitely said. "Go back and tell my father that I'm not going home tonight!" He added.

Tony gave the shop assistant a cold look.

However, the shop assistant smiled apologetically and said, "Sir, I'm not here for you. A gentleman ordered a crystal bracelet in the store and asked me to bring it to Moon Hotel, Room 602.."

Tony was a little surprised. Who would order a brilliant bracelet? If the gift was not to be sent home, why send it over to the hotel where they are staying? Tony figured that there were only eight of them in the room. He wondered who sent it and for who.

"Who ordered the bracelet?" Tony asked.

"I really don't know. Anyway, the manager told me to ask a girl named Tina to sign for it. Who is Tina, please?" Asked the clerk of the Italian Jewelry Store.

When everyone heard that, they were stunned!

Myra, Penny, and others looked at Tina. They couldn't believe it.

Tina herself was also very surprised.

"For me? Who sent it? Are you sure it's for me?" "

It happened so suddenly.

She knew the gift was very expensive. She couldn't believe that somebody would actually give it to her.

Tina was so flattered that she felt like she was living in a dream.

Tina thought so hard for possible clues, so they can figure out who sent it.

Then she thought of her friend from the internet. Because he mentioned the last time they spoke that he's going to send her a gift.

At the thought of that possibility, Tina's heart pounded wildly.

She guessed that they are probably in the same city. And he remembered everything that she told her, even the smallest details.

When she chatted with him the last time, she told her the room number of the party. She told him so much. And whenever she's livelier, she tells him everything she could ever think of.

"This is impossible. It can't be him." Tina uttered.

Tina's pretty face turned red. She couldn't believe what was happening but she was also smiling at the same time.

"Please sign over here, Miss Tina." The clerk told her.

Then the clerk of the Italian Jewelry Store handed over the beautifully packaged box.

"All right." Tina smiled. She accepted the package then carefully opened it.

When she opened the box, she saw a glass crystal bracelet. Her jaw dropped in amazement. The texture is exquisite, free of impurities, and looks quite high-end.

The greedy Penny, Myra, and others were also in awe when they saw the crystal bracelet. Even Tony's face showed a dignified expression.

As the son of the manager of the Italian Brilliant Jewelry store, he was supposed to be calm. The sight of that bracelet shouldn't surprise him at all. But when he saw how extravagant it is, he was surprised. His eyes grew bigger. For a while, he couldn't say a word. The quality of the crystal bracelet was indeed a very good one.

And amongst all the other jewelry stores, the Italian Brilliant Jewelry Store was by far the only store that sells the highest grade of crystal bracelet.

"How much is the crystal bracelet?" Tony hurriedly asked the shop assistant who was still there.

"That crystal bracelet is worth 2 million." The clerk answered.

-Their eyes grew bigger. Their curiosity and amazement went skyrocketed after knowing its cost.

"What? 2 million!" Tony asked again to confirm.

"How is that even possible? Who would send Tina 2 million worth of crystal bracelet?" Somebody from the crow spoke.

"Could it be a mistake? Was it the correct name? And, does Tina have rich friends?" Another person asked. They insulted Tina because of their jealousy.

Both Myra and Penny weren't happy for Tina. They glanced at her with so much jealousy. Even Tony got jealous. His jealousy was heightened simply because he was the son of the store's manager yet he can't afford to have such jewelry. It was indeed too expensive.

Although his family owns a jewelry store, his father actually works for somebody else. His family was really rich, but he can't afford to wear a crystal bracelet worth 2 million dollars.

That crystal bracelet could even be exchanged for a new car. That's why Tony and the rest of the people in the crowd were really shocked. They couldn't hide their astonishment and jealousy. At that moment, Tina's heart was not only excited but also touched by the sweet gesture of whoever sent her that expensive gift.

She was so moved that tears rolled in her eyes.

Nobody in her whole existence has ever given her a gift as expensive as that. She thought it was more than too much. It was far more expensive than her apartment.

Tina lived a simple life back in her hometown in downtown Fairmont City. The whole family worked so hard and tried saving as much as they could, but still, it wasn't enough. "Thank you, really thank you. I am so touched that he gave me such a valuable gift even before they meet. Maybe he was very rich and didn't care about the money, but I am really touched and couldn't hold back my tears." Tina explained.

Tina's heart was overflowing with happiness. She couldn't hide her excitement. This was something new for her. New yet so much that people around her envied her. Especially Myra and Penny.

She enjoyed seeing them jealous of her. Now all eyes were on her and her expensive bracelet. For four years in college, this was the first time she was surrounded by jealous eyes. Yet she felt comfortable and proud. It was like winning in a lottery.

After being looked down on for four years, today she finally got what she wanted and she felt so elated.

"Tina, put that crystal bracelet away. Better yet, hide it and don't tell your sister about it." Leon Williams instructed her.

Leon Williams was worried Rachel might be distressed. Rachel usually doesn't like him spending a lot of money, especially on shopping. So every time he shops for jewelry, he hides the price from her.

Now Rachel does not know that his jewelry can be bought at the center of the provincial capital. However, Tina curled her mouth and said angrily, "What does this have to do with you? It's none of your business!"
