" Michael..",

Ethan calls, shaking me by my shoulder as I almost drift into sleep. I open my eyes and see his face hovering over me.

" Your parents are coming here evening. They want to have dinner with us.", he says.

" Oh ! ", I gasp and shoot up from the bed, causing Eve to groan. I quickly give her a pillow to hug and slide out of the bed. " But they didn't tell me."

" They were going to tell you when you handed me the phone.", he says.

" Okay, so what are we d..doing ?", I ask.

" They are planning for us to meet at some restaurant.", he says.

" So after having dinner, they would r..return back ?", I ask. He nods.

" So they are coming just for a dinner ? Why do they have to c..come now ? We had told them that we would come on v..vacation, right ?", I ask in surprise.

" Yeah..but they want to see us now. They already booked ticket.", Ethan says scratching on his neck.

" They now want to see you.", I correct his statement. " And wish you b..birthday since they have never celebrated your birthday."

" Yeah..maybe.", he agrees.

" Oh Mickey ! Eddy ! ", Eve suddenly squeals jumping up from the bed. " HAPPY BIRTHDAY! WHEN DID YOU GUYS C..COME ?", She shouts in excitement, laughing at both of us.

" We came just now Evy.", I reply smiling.

" Oh..Okay.. I wanted to ask you guys one thing.", she says.

" What ?", I ask.

" How you both have birthday Today ? Are you actually T..Twins or something ?", she asks.

" No. If we are twins, how can we date, Eve ?", Ethan asks.

" I know that. But how you both have...birthday on same day.", she asks.

" Coincidence..", Ethan says.

" Oh..that's a real coincidental.", she giggles. " So you guys have one advantage. You don't f..forget about each other's birthday and so you don't have to f..fight because of that, like some boring couples.", she says. We both burst into laughter at her.

" Oh wait ! How did you know my b..birthday is also today ?", I ask her.

" Mom told me. And we both together baked you cake..", she suddenly pauses wide eyed and closes her mouth with her palm. " That was a surprise! ", She gasps.

" Oh woah ! So Mom baked us cake ! ", Ethan laughs and Eve taps her hands on her head, disappointed in herself for accidentally letting out the great secret. We can't help but laugh looking at her.

" It's okay Evy. I had already seen the cake.", Ethan says to console her and she is relieved. "C'mon now let's sleep for some more time.", he laughs and falls on the bed, pulling Eve down with him. I also plop down on the bed on the other side of Eve and she giggles lying between us.

We soon drift into sleep and wake up only when Mom calls for breakfast after 9. Eve had already woke up long ago and was downstairs watching TV. Soon we all sit down to have breakfast. Mom had made Pizza, sandwiches and donuts along with Oreo shake. Everything was so delicious and after breakfast, I and Ethan together cut the cake Mom baked for us. On it was written 'Happy Birthday Ethan and Michael' and for some reason I imagined it to be ' Happy Anniversary Ethan and Michael'

" I got you both gifts ! ", Eve squeals as we both feed her with cake.

" Oh what ?", we ask and she runs upstairs to her room to get her gift. Soon she comes skipping down the stairs with two boxes in her both hands. Giggling, she stretches the gift boxes to us and we take It saying thank you.

She is anxious as we open the gift. Ethan takes his gift out first and it's a beautiful stainless steal water bottle with black cap.

" You liked it ?", She asks Ethan as he smiles looking at it.

" Yeah..very much. I was thinking to buy one soon. You got me what I wanted.", he says and she smiles joyfully.

I then pull out my gift and it's a whole set of Faber castell Polychromos color pencils. She had once asked which colour pencils are best and I had recommended her this. Now she bought it to me. " Thank you so much Evy.", I say holding the box of pencils to my chest and she giggles happily.

" I got you both one more thing. Stretch your...hands.", She says. I'm sure she is gonna give us chocolates. She has something in her fist and it has to be chocolates. We both bend to her level and stretch our hands, opening our palms and she also opens her palms. But it isn't chocolate. It's actually wrist band. She has two wrist band in her hands, one dark blue and one black.

" Look at this ! Your names are on it ! ", she squeals showing it to us and we see ‘Ethan’ written on the blue band and ‘Michael’ written on the black one.

" Woah..! ", we both utter and she smiles wide making us both wear the wrist bands with our names written on it. But Ethan has his gaze on my band as if he wants it.

" Mommy now give your gift ! Where is it ? ", Eve then squeals looking at Mom.

" It's in my room. Go bring it Evy.", she smiles to Eve and she runs to get it. She comes back running even before I could make a guess about what Mom's present would be. And she has two small identical boxes in her hands which she excitedly gives to Mom.

" I got you both same gift.", She says handing it to us and Ethan starts opening it amusedly while I just peep into it to see what it is, since we both got same gift. Soon he pulls out a silver pen from it and a blue rectangular box. I take the pen from his hands and observe it while he opens the box to reveal a Tommy Hilfiger Analog black dial watch. Ethan's lips spread into a smile seeing it. And I also start opening my box after giving the pen back to him.

" I gifted it to you guys, mainly considering your exam. So that you can keep track of time.", Mom then says. " So get me good scores to me in return, okay?", she says looking at Ethan.

" I'll Mom. I got 89 % in last sem, right ? This time I'll try to reach it to 90. ", he says.

I was so sad when he got 89 % in last semester. I had told Mom that I would make him get above 90. But both he and Mom were so surprised and overjoyed seeing the 89 %. Cause he got 71 % in the previous semester and he has never got above 75.

" You can sure score higher than last time since now you got study leave. So start studying from today itself.", Mom tells him before turning to me. " And Mickey, you need to work really hard. Both of you don't waste time together." I nod to her. She actually wants me to be the valedictorian.

Last semester, after I got a 98. 7 % and became the top scorer in school, everyone found my possibility of becoming the valedictorian. My cumulative unweighted GPA is currently 3.88, which is a bit less than the highest in our school 3.93. However I've a few AP classes and honors classes to add to that, 18 AP and 6 honors to be exact. I had been taking a lot of online AP courses in my sophomore and junior years, especially during vacations since I had nothing better to do. I only did 5 courses this year but it was still very challenging since I barely have time now. Anyway I'm the one in our school with the highest Course credit. So as per my calculation if I score A in all subjects in this semester, I can be the Valedictorian. And I'm working hard for it.

I know it's boring to study on your birthday but we both does just that after we go upstairs. We study Geography until Mom calls us for lunch. She had again prepared some special items.

" Mom, my p..parents are coming here today.", I say while we are almost finishing our lunch. She look up at me, her smile faltering.

" Not here. They are planning to have dinner with us outside.", Ethan says.

" Oh..okay.", she nods. " When will they reach here ?"

" Before 7. So we'll have to head from here at 6 to pick them from airport.", Ethan says.

" Okay. Are they staying here tonight ?", She asks.

"Probably no. They will soon return.", he replies.

" Okay..", Mom nods and avert her attention back to her plate.

We soon finish our plates and go back upstairs, sitting down to study again. " Baby..I'm bored with Geography. Let's study Biology for sometime.", Ethan says.

" Okay..", I nod whilst going to get my Biology text from my bag. He comes behind me and wraps his arms around my waist, placing his chin on my shoulder.

" But you haven’t given me the reward.", he whispers in my ear. I had put a small Geography test for him before we went to have lunch and he got all the answers right. So he is now asking reward for that. And the reward he actually wanted was my wrist band. But I told him I would give him that only after he graduate. And he thought it's a good idea to exchange our wrist bands on graduation. So he is ready to be contented with a kiss now.

I peel his hands away from my waist and turn around smiling at him. I snake my hands around his neck and lean forward placing my lips on his. Soon our lips starts brushing against each other in sync.
