"Rue!" The fairy initially refused to answer the person calling her, it was just that when he called her name incessantly did she stopped. A boy directly came to her making Rue halt in her steps and look at him with a somewhat uncomfortable stance.

This was the person she saw stuffing something in her locker today. How did he know her password to open her private locker was beyond it thus she had originally intended to avoid him at all costs and also check what was he upto.

"I have been waiting for you since long here." Adam Pierce stood infront of Rue blocking her path.

"Yes? How can I help you?" Azures clashed with dark brown irises and the man stood silently observing her with interest before smiling

"I wanted to know if you want to come to the upcoming party with me?" Rue listened as if disliking his words and giving a stiff reply while maintaining her distance.

"Its okay, I actually already has a person who asked me out." The smile somewhat morphed to that of fury when the angel gently but resolutely denied him, the way his eyes saw her made chills run down her spine.

"Oh, who was it?"

"I am sorry but it is none of your concern." Adam gritted his teeth, so this was why she was so famous, she had a beautiful face and nice body but also knew how to play hard to get. Such females were usually in his bed after some coaxing and if they did not understood then with a little bit of force.

"Listen, I am Adam Pierce. There are many who would kill to be in your position so stop this nonsense and just accept or-"

"Or what?" The male who stood infront of Rue with his back towards her was so unfamiliar yet also so familiar for he was the person who fought with her, the person whom she should be avoiding at all costs but also the one who shared blood with her.

"Davion, why are you interrupting-" A loud voice echoed in the surroundings making the entire campus so silent that it was an eerie phenomenon before it all resumed as if this was normal.

The wall behind Adam had a bullet hole which missed by his head just by an inch making him sweat profusely with weak legs that were unable to hold weight of his own body making him kneel.

"Y-You...w-we are a subsidiary b-branch of the Sylvesters! Are y-you breaking the alliance for this bitch of Villars!" Rue who was frozen with her entire body shivering did not saw the devious smile on Davion's face as he bent down and whispered something into Adam's ears. It must have been a humorous thing for him but in turn it made the person feel so much fear that he crawled away as if his life depended on it.

The hallway was deserted for whoever heard the noise must have ran away for their lives. Clan wars were very uncommon in a prestigious institution yet they were not unheard of.

"Thankyou" Rue counted to ten and tried to remain calm yet when the male turned around she could not help but flinch moving backwards.

"Forget it."

"No, thankyou so much." Trembling fingers that were fragile clutched his sleeves before leaving as if burned by them.

Davion looked at the fairy before chuckling like he had heard a big joke.

"Do you think I did a favor to you?" Rue looked up at him as if confused by his expression before she saw him smile widely and bowing down a little infront of her to meet her eyes.

"Did you not feel the presence of another person who is listening to it all in the darkness? I have pulled a bullet that did not hit that dog but if I was even a second late he would have been butchered like a fish on board with not even his limbs intact. I may be a Sylvester but even I do not wish for a crazy monster on my tail."

When Davion left Rue was still left standing in the middle of the place with her mind in daze, it was only when two strong arms pulled her along gently into her dorm room with her looking at the muscular back did she realized what Davion said was true.

He sat her down infront of him on the bed, it was so close that she could smell his musk and dark aroma which was so enticing.

"Were you scared back there?" Rue looked at the callused palm that had many scars yet also had one thing which did not suit it at all. There was a mango candy with cute wrapper in the middle that he offered to her making her slowly reach out to take it.

"No, I was more afraid when....Kharsan don't kill Adam. We cannot afford a war now."

"I brought a cake for you." It was as if he did not listened to her and opened the box of pastries of so many kinds.

"No, first promise me you would not kill him...not now." The devil when gazed down with his emerald irises, it was almost too beautiful to not get enchanted but Rue's resolve was strong thus she did not took it from his hands.

"I promise." It was only then that she could breathe a little well not knowing that it was better if she had asked him to let that man die.

"Sir this..." Davion looked at the silky strand in his palm and his cerulean irises were dangerously deep.

"Take it to a well known doctor and get it tested...make sure that the reports are kept secret...even from our own family."

"Sir about Adam?" The name made the veins on the male's neck bulge with fury.

"Withdraw all protection."

"But sir no matter how many crimes Pierce family has committed, Elder master would not punish them, rather it would be you that would have to bear the brunt of it."

"Then let it be fucking that way."
