Chapter 46: Chapter 46
"T-Then why did you leave me?" Dainty fingers entwined with one another as the fairy looked down and twiddled with her hands trying to hide her eyes that were full of misgivings and even a little anger.
"If you are my guardian then why did you not come back to me...or is it because I am a Sylvester?"
"Rue!" Kharsan held onto the delicate frame of the cyan-eyed girl as his thunderous irises shook with astonishment and rage when that name resonated from those innocent lips.
"Where the f-hell did you hear such words?"
"I might have been a mute but I wasn't a fool." The male tried to calm down before pacifying the girl next to him.
"I did not leave you because of that, it has nothing to do with you." The tears which were hidden for so long under the happy exterior hence bursted forth as it silently dwindled down her cheeks.
"I-I don't like liars, you are lying to me."
She shook her head and cried without looking at Kharsan for she was afraid that once she will gaze into his eyes she might not be able to say the hurtful words that were always buried in her chest.
She wanted him to know that all those years it brought nothing but pain to her and she wasn't willing to let it go altogether just because he decided to appear out of blue.
"Little girl, I am not lying to you." Masculine broad fingers swiped her eyes and wiped her tears as he bent down to her level and made her look at him.
"Say it all, take- it all out of your heart." It was his way of calming her down but it brought nothing but more frustration to her altogether for she did not want to receive his kindness and feel guilty.
"...You are.. You are not my guardian! Where were you when I cried so many nights hoping that one day I would apologise to you for ruining your life...where w-were you when I waited in the garden on each of my birthday hoping that you would show up."
"Rue-" His voice was so low as just like his fingers were so gentle as they wiped hot tears streaming down her face, caressing her but it was all futile for she disallowed his hands by removing them and moved away from his touch.
"Were you ashamed of me when I wasn't able to talk? Look at me... I-I am better than you who lied to me for I will not.. I will not betray mom and dad. I am not what you said because I am a Villar-" dewed lashes bent and her words stopped when she saw Kharsan's face that was so full of rage that she stopped herself from speaking anymore.
It was a miracle that she was afraid of him but also clutched onto his blazer as if to hold onto him but also flee from his presence.
"Who told you I was ashamed of you or are you so free to make silly assumptions, do not utter those blasphemous words ever again. You are the future of Villar and anyone telling you otherwise.." His fingers held onto the frail chin and forced Rue to look at him.
"....I will kill them." Azures clashed with emeralds and the little fairy was stumped before she opened her small mouth frowning for she did not liked killing people.
"Then, you don't hate me b-brother?" There was a long silence at the other end before the devil's face morphed into a smile that looked anything but kind making the fairy gulp.
"Brother?" Kharsan's cruel smile vanished as he brought one of Rue's fragile wrist to his lips and opened his mouth, sinking his teeth into the pale flesh after his lips kissed it while looking at the pure endearing azures with his own dark tainted eyes.
Rue trembled and could not hold onto the eye contact as she felt something bubbling into her pit of stomach.
"Tell me, do I look like I am your brother?" Slow blush with a mind that was completely blank with great shock rendered Rue speechless as she could only watch Kharsan with wide teary eyes as her wrist was marked dark red by his sucking.
"I am not your brother little girl."
After that Rue had almost used all of her courage to speak thus she, in silence, sat like a good girl looking at the glittering blue rose in her hand as she was unable to fathom the emotions she just experienced now.
She always thought of him as a protective figure.
She looked like a mess for her locks were tumbled in the process of wailing and the baby hairs were all peeking from all directions as if trying to sneak-a-peak of the male, her eyes were puffy red from crying and her face was marred with tears.
The angel did not speak anymore for a long time as accidently slept keeping her head on Kharsan's shoulder.
A sigh echoed throughout the surroundings as the devil himself bent to scoop the angel up into his arms. His hands tingled with her softness and innocence fearing that he would leave more marks on her body if he applied even a little force and maybe he would taint her innocent mind if he stayed by her side.
Just like that he was reminisced of the fact that this was the person whom his father had betrothed to him and also the person infront of whom he had no control.
Soon the visage of the delicate female was settled onto the bed and was wrapped up in a fluffy blanket.
"Rue...I don't hate you, for I have liked you since a long time. "
