Chapter 44: Chapter 44
"Rue!" After calling the fairy multiple times when she did not answer and looked shamelessly as if she had met the love of her life, Eve could not help but smack her little head. It was only then dazed look in the cyan eyes was broken and the drool was wiped off from the face.
"W-What?" never in her life Rue had seen so many beautiful cotton candies that were shaped into all sorts of animals and clouds, there was even a unicorn in there.
While the female watched her own interests there were many that watched her, it was news on the campus that a female with electrifying azure irises who even surpassed the current flower of the college had entered.
"Please give me that one." When the euphonious voice asked the person serving politely there were many that were attracted. It was just that before Rue could hold on to the cotton candy a boy older than the female had already gotten a hold of it.
"Sir, ma'am had ordered it first-" the male only looked at the server once, and any more arguments ended for the stormy blue irises were not in the mood for any conflict. Everyone in the campus knew the notoriety of the person standing and dared not mess with him.
"Here you take it." The man did not even spare a glance as a bill was thrown at the fairy who was standing behind as if to compensate for any losses and shut up for any complaints.
"You need it more than me..." It was only when the gentle voice fell into his ears did he turned around to glance at the person who was much shorter than his own, with pure sapphire irises without an ounce of malice tainting their innocence looked at him.
"What did you say?"
"I said you need it more than me." Like a siren's song that was too beautiful to listen to but at the same time did not shy away from expressing its emotion, the little angel said without any fear before picking up the bill and smoothening it before handing it to the man standing.
"Do you know who I am little girl? I am Davon Sylvester." It was only then she looked down for several moments as if reminiscing something and then smiled and shook her head.
"I do not care for I am a Villar."
And then she walked away without looking back at the chaos that was created, it was just that at this moment Rue did not look happy.
Even in the eyes that watched her secretly, protecting her in shadows, she looked like she was at a loss.

Rue had cried terribly when Kharsan was going away and at the end when she could not think of anything she had run to Mikhail to ask him if he could do anything. It was then she heard them talk about it.
"I have failed to protect them, failed to live up to the expectations of our clan so it's better that I do not return until I am capable enough..."
"Rue wants you to stay Kharsan-"
"Uncle.... it would have been better if father had never brought her here, the blood of Sylvesters had always brought catastrophe, in future if the truth comes out not only mother would not hate her but Rue would also not stay by father's side."
There were many that held onto love, many that thought about feelings but then there was Rue who neither had any amours feelings for Kharsan nor did she ever wish to take his place but she held onto hope.
Hope that the one to save her from falling to the depths of complete darkness would not hate her because she knew somewhere in her heart that he left because of her.
After that day all she did was to listen quietly and soon she was able to fit the pieces of puzzle together-she wasn't the daughter of a fallen soldier of Villars...she was the daughter of their enemy who killed Mikhail's son.
For the past eight years, there was no contact that she had with him, not a single message that she received from his side but on each of her birthdays she did receive one single blue rose from an unknown person, wrapped up in a glittery foil. It was a message more profound than words- to let him even vanish from her thoughts.
Rue couldn't help but close her eyes.
Just like he never said, she also never asked who was the sender of those roses.
Yesterday when she entered, her entire room was very similar to others except there was a bouquet of blue roses. Now that so many years have passed she almost forgot how Kharsan looked like, it was just a hazy visage of his that she had in her mind.
There were not even a single memory that was not covered up by the dust of time.
Soon a kiss was pressed to a flower that was beautifully enchanting with a prayer of hope and protection.
"You were wrong, I am a Villar."
