The party came to a standstill when their Alpha slung his supposedly mate on his shoulders and left. It was so surprising…and shocking.

The Alpha finally finds his mate and she wasn't amongst any of the numerous girls in the pack but a total stranger. What's this trick?

Some bold girls gathered together and started mocking Jasmine for her hearing.

"Girl, did you see the face of that clinger? Immediately the alpha saw his mate, she was thrown away like a thrash. Serves her right", a girl said.

"Yes, Rose. A bitch remains a bitch. To be used and dumped", Another said.

The group all burst in laughter. Jasmine's face was so red from embarrassment and anger. She got up and grabbed one of the girls. She raised her hand to slap the girl but her friends quickly came to her rescue and pushed Jasmine away.

Jasmine stumbled and almost fell but was held by strong arms. She turned to look and saw Jeremy holding her. She pushed him away in anger as she stared at him in disgust.

"Don't you dare touch me, you filthy thing", she shouted in anger.

Suddenly, a tall slender woman rushed forward and slapped Jasmine very hard.

"You ungrateful bitch! If you dare curse my boyfriend again, I will make your life a living hell. Remember, you are just a used toy so don't be too proud", the woman said belittling her.

"How dare you? Do you know who I am?" Jasmine raged as her wolf was threatened to take over.

"Yes, I do. You are a slut. A used commodity", the girl retorted as she got ready to let her wolf out too.

Chaos broke out as the girls got ready to tear each other apart. Mason, who was the celebrant, was at a loss for words as he watched the girls arguing amongst themselves.

He decided to end the party as he called on security to send everyone out of the hall. Jasmine who was brimming with anger walked out of the hall after throwing the other girl a disgusted look.

Soon everywhere was calm. Beta Rufus walked up to Mrs Clara and Mason. There was another woman and a little girl whom he assumed should be Aurora's family.

"Mrs Clara. I want to apologise on behalf of my Alpha. Please forgive him for his impudence but I can assure you that the girl is safe", Beta Rufus said", I assume you are her family, right?"

Sarah nodded her head. She had just gone to the restroom. When she came back so many things had happened. She was so surprised when she heard her daughter was the Alpha's mate and he already left with her.

She was so worried her daughter would be bullied but Clara had assured her nothing of such would happen because their Alpha was a good man. Now, she felt more assured when his Beta came to apologise on his behalf. The Alpha must have instructed him.

"Will she be alright?", She managed to ask.

"You don't need to worry ma. She is in safe hands", Gamma Enrique said.

"That man is a bad man! He took my sister away from me! I want my sister back! Give me back my sister!", Maya who had been quiet suddenly started hitting Beta Rufus.

Maya was so pitiful as she cried out. Beta Rufus and Gamma Enrique were shocked at the little girl's display. Beta Rufus tried to stop her from crying but she cried louder.

"Little girl, stop crying. Your sister is alright. She will be back very soon", Beta Rufus tried to convince the little girl. But, she didn't stop crying. Her mother had to intervene.

"Baby, these men are not bad. Your sister will be back soon. Don't make a fuss, okay?", Sarah said, holding her daughter back.

"Do you promise, momma?", Maya asked, still pouting.

"Yes, I promise. Your sister will be back soon. Come let's go home", Sarah said and turn to Clara", We should be going now, Clara".

"Okay. Mason go and drop your aunt", Clara said.

"Yes mother", Mason replied.

"Mrs Clara, why don't I go drop auntie if she has no objection?", Beta Rufus offered.

"We don't want to trouble you, Sir. Mason…", Clara said.

"It's no trouble. It's our right to care for Luna's family", Beta Rufus said as he gave Clara a look

"Oh…Sarah do you have any objection?"Clara asked her sister-in-law.

"If you are okay with them, then I have no objection", Sarah replied as she lifted Maya up.

Clara nodded and escorted them to the carpark. Beta Rufus turned to Enrique and whispered something into his ears. Soon Enrique got into another car and drove off.

Beta Rufus then opened the car door for Sarah. Clara watched as they drove away. Then she beckoned on her son.

"Mother, is it really okay for them to go with those men?", Mason asked.

"You don't have to worry. We are going to follow them closely. Now get into the car. Besides, I feel Beta Rufus has something to discuss with your Aunt", Clara said as they entered their car.

She won't let anyone bully her late brother's family, not even the Alpha.

The car stopped at the front of a beautiful house. Maya was already sleeping. She was obviously still feeling hurt as her face was filled with tears.

Sarah was about to wake her when Rufus offered to carry her. Sarah was grateful. She walked towards her house and opened the door.

"I will take her from here", Sarah said carrying Maya from Rufus.

"I will be here, waiting. I want to discuss something with you", Rufus said.

"Okay, just wait. Let me put her to bed", Sarah said as she went inside.

After some minutes, she came out and invited Enrique into her house.

"You can sit here. What can I offer you?"Sarah offered as Rufus sat on a couch in the sitting room.

"Am fine, ma. I won't waste your time. I came here to talk to you about whatever that happened between your daughter and Alpha Jax. I just want to reassure you that I will be responsible for her. You don't need to worry", Beta Rufus said.

"Why are you speaking for him?", Sarah asked with raised brow.

"He is the alpha and I am his Beta. I know him better than anyone else. I just want you to be rest assured", Beta Rufus said as he stood up to leave.

Sarah just watched him with a complicated expression. Is her daughter safe with the Alpha? She pondered.

A room in a mansion. Filled with the fragrance of newly plucked flowers. The curtains in the room, though closed, added a touch of warmth. The room was filled with different edifices signifying the owner as a lover of arts. Paintings of different colors, sizes and shapes were hung around the room.

Amongst these arts exhibit, there was a unique picture portrait of a beautiful woman and a handsome man. The woman has golden eyes and golden hair that falls to her waist. Her lips were red and full . The man who was dressed as royalty had deep blue eyes and a sharp chin. He was looking at the woman lovingly. The portrait was full of life.

Inside the room, a frail looking man lay on the bed with a nurse checking his temperature. After affirming everything was okay, the nurse took her instruments and left the room.

Another young man walked into the room and sat close to the man. The man opened his eyes. When he saw the person sitting beside him, he looked disappointed. He closed his eyes again not wanting to see the young man.

"Uncle…", the young man tried to speak but he was immediately cut off.

"Enrique, what brought you here at this time of the night?", The man asked without opening his eyes.

"The Alpha has found his mate, Uncle Rufus", Enrique replied.

The man's eyes flew open and as if he had been injected with adrenaline, the man got up suddenly from the bed overwhelmed with happiness.

Enrique was so frightened that he quickly held the man. He tried to calm him down.

"Uncle Rufus, your health is paramount. If anything happens to you, the alpha would never let me off", Enrique pleaded.

"Ah! Ah! My boy has finally found his mate! Tell me, Enrique, where's that rascal and the girl?", Uncle Rufus asked.

"Uncle, the alpha took her away from the party. We haven't heard anything from them", Enrique explained.

"That rascal! Boy, hold me up", Uncle Rufus held his hands out. Enrique held him up as he stood up. He didn't look too frail but he was shaking a little. He struggled to hold himself steady.

Uncle Rufus walked up to the portrait and bowed deeply. Tears were streaming down his eyes. He touched the picture emotionally. He can finally look straight into their eyes.

"Brother…sister-in-law, I have fulfilled one promise. Your son has found his mate. The moon goddess has been faithful! He finally heard our prayers! He would soon give us chubby grandchildren", the old man said as he stared at the picture happily.

Gamma Enrique looked at the old man. Hmm, it might take a long time for the children to come. It seems their Luna is the stubborn type and it might take a long time for Alpha Jax to tame her.
