Jeremy knocked on the office door of Alpha Jax after taking a deep breath. There's something about this Alpha that instills fear into someone's body. Jeremy really does not wish to come here at all.
"Come in", a deep baritone voice sounded out. Jeremy stepped into the office and gave a deep howl.
"What is it?", Alpha Jax asked impatiently.
"Beta Rufus sent me here with information regarding that thief", Jeremy said carefully.
"Don't waste my time, Jeremy. Spit it out", Alpha Jax said as he flipped through the documents in his hands.
"We captured the girl's bosom friend and from his confession, the girl might likely be a werewolf. We still have the friend as hostage", Jeremy said quickly.
"A werewolf? Which Pack?", Alpha Jax looked frosty. If this is the plan of his rival pack, he doesn't mind destroying them.
"Sorry, Alpha. The friend had no idea. The beta sent me here to seek your opinion on how to go about the issue", Jeremy.
"Keep the friend alive for now till we find the girl. Tell Beta Rufus to use all Intel to search for the girl. I want her alive. Go back now", Alpha Jax ordered.
"Yes, Alpha", Jeremy said as he bowed deeply. He left the office quickly so as to escape from the frosty eyes of Alpha Jax. He went straight to the abandoned house to pass Alpha's message.

Beta Rufus waited for Jeremy's return. He looked at the swollen faced Craig. He wouldn't have touched him if Craig wasn't stubborn. He is trying to show his loyalty to his friend.
Beta Rufus would do the same for Alpha Jax and even more. But the only way to overcome such trials is to make that person your first priority and no one should be your weakness.
Craig had a weakness and that's his brother. If he can be threatened by his brother, he will surely betray anyone.
"Do you know your friend might be a monster?", Beta Rufus asked Craig.
"I don't care who she is. All I know is that she is my friend and she would never hurt me", Craig replied.
"You really think she won't hurt you? You are just too naive", Beta Rufus chuckled at him.
"I am not naive. She will never hurt me. Aurora might have the blood of a beast but she would never hurt anyone", Craig replied confidently.
"Even on a full moon?", Beta Rufus said, raising a brow.
"On a full moon?", Craig asked, confused. He remembered that day he saw that boy, Aurora told him it was a full moon and it's very dangerous for humans to stay up late. Would Aurora attack her on the day of full moon?
"Yes, on a full moon. On that night, new wolves are made and old wolves are highly sensitive and dangerous. They become bloodthirsty and they can kill anyone outside of their race", Beta Rufus said calmly.
"Aurora would never hurt me, I strongly believe it. There's nothing you can do to change my mind", Craig defended.
"I hope you are right", Beta Rufus smirked.
Soon an energetic man walked in briskly. It looks like he just came out of hell.
"Jeremy, don't tell me you are still frightened by the Alpha? You know he would never hurt his men", Beta Rufus said as he chuckled.
"Yes, I know but I really can't help it. He is too frightening. Everywhere seems to turn to ice when I told him about the girl being a werewolf", Jeremy said.
"What did he say?", Beta Rufus asked.
"Alpha Jax said we should keep him alive. He might be useful. And you should use all our Intel to track that girl down", Jeremy replied.
"Very well then. You and the others should take him to our safehouse. Ensure he stays alive. I will be leaving", Beta Rufus said as he turned to leave.
"Roger that, Beta"

THE PUB
Beta Rufus knocked gently at Alpha Jax's private cabin in the pub. He had gone to the office but he couldn't find him so he came directly to this place.
"Come inside", a muffled voice said. Is he with Jasmine? He wondered.
When Beta Rufus entered, he saw a beautiful slender woman cuddled in the Alpha's arms. The room smell of alcohol and…sex.
Beta Rufus knew the alpha always resort to drinks and sex whenever he is stressed. Sometimes, he understands his friend's emotional stress. It's not an easy job to be one of the most feared and ruthless Alpha ever.
His enemies are always on the lookout for him. A little mistake and he will be wiped out before he even knows anything. He also has to watch out for betrayers in his camp. Especially those in the executive wings. That's why he set up a Mafia organization to strengthen himself Incase of an internal invasion.
"Are you just going to stand here like a fool or should I give you something to bring you back to earth?", Alpha Jax's voice brought his Beta out of reverie.
"Sorry, Alpha. I came to discuss with you", Beta Rufus said looking at the girl who was stuck like an octopus to the alpha.
"Run along cutie pie", Alpha Jax said to the girl who still stuck to him.
"You told me you are spending all day and night with you yet you are chasing me out?", The girl cooed.
"What did you say? Are you disobeying my order?", Alpha Jax asked as he held the girl's throat.
"I… will…never…dare…please…pardon…me", the girl pleaded as she struggled to free herself.
"I will pardon you just this once. Now get lost and never show your face to me again", Alpha Jax released his hands. They started choking as she coughed violently.
She took her clothes and hurriedly put them on before rushing out. Her face was pale with fright. Beta Rufus shook his head before turning to Alpha Jax.
"Am listening, Rufus", Alpha Jax said, still looking furious.
"There would be an acceptance ceremony for all the chosen boys. It will be held at the Pack's square", Beta Rufus said.
"When is the ceremony?"Alpha Jax asked.
"Tomorrow evening. And Mrs Smith is inviting you specially to her son's birthday party. You know, Mr Smith is quite influential amongst the executives. We need to give him face. You can just spend five minutes before leaving", Beta Rufus said.
"You know how much I hate parties. You should have rejected it", Alpha Jax said.
"You don't need to spend much time there. Just show your face, it would be enough. Rejecting the invitation would do no good. We need to be diplomatic", Beta Rufus tried to convince him.
"Either way, you are giving me no choice. You already accepted their invite so I will have to give you face", Alpha Jax said nonchalantly.
"Okay Alpha", Beta Rufus smiled.
"Have you put the girl's friend in a safe place?"Alpha Jax asked.
"Yes, I have. I don't understand why you want to keep the man. Is he of any use?"Beta Rufus asked.
"I can see that man can be useful later. Don't ask me how", Alpha Jax said as he relaxed his head.
"Wait, let me go and shower. We need to go to the training ground. I need to relieve more stress", Alpha Jax said as he got up.
"What about Jasmine? Are you considering her for the position of a Luna if you don't find your mate?", Beta Rufus suddenly asked.
Alpha Jax stopped in his tracks before he turned around to look at his friend.
"Does it matter who? But I think she has the higher chance though. So far she had been obedient and…you know. I think she might be eligible. You can give her access to my place alongside the rest of the girls. If I don't have a mate, I am not just going to stick to one hole", he smirked before going to the bathroom.
Meanwhile, Jasmine, who wanted to knock on the cabin, stopped and listened to their last part of their conversation.
She smiled arrogantly as she moved back from the door. Jasmine believed that her dream was about to come true. Other holes? They won't even have the chance to compete. She will make sure to eliminate them one by one and become his one and only Luna.
Jasmine's mate was rejected by her when she saw he was just a peasant. She can't be tied to a pauper. Even though he later fought to be among the Alpha's recruiter, he was still beneath her.
She wants someone more powerful than her father. She aims to be Luna. Even if the alpha gets a mate, she would make sure to destroy their union. Jasmine believes Jax wasn't the Love type and he will definitely keep mistresses. She planned to win him over his mate, if he eventually finds her.
No one has the right to be with Jax, not even his mate.
