Chapter 497: Chapter 497
###Chapter 494 Encounter After Returning Home - Part 4
"Do all male gods like young women nowadays?"
As she listened to their inappropriate conversation, she was not able to stop herself from laughing, "You are thinking too much. William is just helping me. It's an equal exchange. I just have what he needs."
"Equal exchange?" Grace was stupefied and said, "What do you possess that is so valuable? He could even exchange it for the lives of five people? "
"It's a box my grandmother left me when she died. It's a dragon and Phoenix box. I have one in my hand and the other one seems to have been sold away at a high price. He wants to find this box. As for the value, I don't know what it is yet." Ivelle was still a little uncertain about the identity of William. His surname was Preston and she knew that he must be a member of the Preston family.
But if he was a member of the Preston family, why did he have to experience so much trouble just to hold the auction in Hempstead to auction off the sandalwood box he had in his hand?
But if not, what did he want with that box?
Grace stood and nodded. "Sure enough, they are rich people who devote their thoughts and energy to things we don't think are necessary."
After a pause, she looked at Ivelle and said, "Thank you anyway. When I return home, I'll treat you to a good meal. I'll make a deal with you as a friend."
Ivelle smiled. Jacintha also looked at her and said, "I will get married in October. This time, I don't know what will happen when I go back but if my wedding takes place normally, then you must come to my wedding."
Cassandra replied, "Yes, everyone has been through a lot, we must have a good future. I have an idea. Ivelle, Grace, Jacintha, have you ever thought about starting your own company?"
They were all stupefied and a little surprised for a moment. Jacintha looked at her and said, "You want to take us into the stock market, do you?"
Cassandra nodded and smiled. "I thought when I was in the glass room that if I could go back alive this time, I would bring you all together and start a company. Then, we would help each other for the rest of our lives."
Jacintha frowned. "You are so greedy that you thought about how to tie us up."
Cassandra smiled and said, "In fact, I was thinking that if there were any major events in the future, we could work hard to move forward together. It was fate that made us able to meet each one of us. You see, we all came from different places. If we would not together after returning home, without contact, we would go farther and farther in the future. I really didn't want to miss out with all of you like this."
Grace thought it was funny, "Don't be so creepy, why did you have to exaggerate? We will just get in touch with each other in the future."
"What kind of company do you want to start?" Ivelle asked, "Have you ever thought about where the company will be located? What exactly do you plan on doing?"
Cassandra thought for a moment and said, "I haven't decided on these yet. At this moment, there's only one general idea but I've chosen a place. I've chosen City A, which is not a first-tier city but its construction and development are good. It was also adjacent to Europe, the climate and temperature are extremely suitable for life."
"I have a suggestion!" Grace said, "Why don't we set up an inn or teahouse? We can get together all year round and we can go and stay at the inn for a while."
Jacintha nodded. "That's a good idea!"
They chatted for a while and Ivelle looked up at the room on the second floor several times.
After she thought about it, Ivelle went upstairs.
She knocked on Rafaela's door and she came to open it after a long time. When she saw that it was her, she slightly paused and said, "Is there something wrong?"
"Let's talk?"
She frowned, took a step back, and let me into the room.
She was a Christian and she seemed to be a little obsessed. As soon as she came back from the line of life and death, she tried her best to get a statue of God in her room and began to worship.
Sitting on the sofa, Ivelle saw her sitting cross-legged in front of the image of God, her hands folded together and she was reciting words in her mouth, all Christian verses.
"What do you want to talk about?" She spoke.
Ivelle looked at her and said, "Do you believe that he will bless you?"
She looked at her and said solemnly, "If he hadn't blessed me, I wouldn't be here talking to you right now."
Ivelle was dumb for a moment and she felt that she was obsessed. "I heard that your family is from City A," Ivelle said. "Have you ever thought about opening a shop there when you go back?"
"No!" When she spoke, there was a feeling that strangers were not allowed to say what they wanted to say.
Ivelle nodded and thought, "I really didn't mean what happened that day. I didn't want to hurt any of you more than anyone else. I didn't think he would hurt you in that way."
"That's enough!" She shouted, interrupted Ivelle, and looked her coldly, "Ivelle, do you think you are very noble? You're always so high up. Has anyone ever told you you're a fake?"
Ivelle froze and looked at her.
She sneered. "In fact, you probably didn't even notice it. You were obviously a cold and selfish person but you portrayed yourself as a generous and kind woman. You had a unique background. A man would pay for your beauty. Someone could save your life. These were just things you got along the way. Ask yourself, when did you get anything on your own?" You haven't got something for yourself, didn't you?"
Ivelle was so embarrassed by her that she couldn't say a word. Ivelle watched her open her mouth and was speechless for a moment.
She added, "You just like to pretend to be noble but you hate me more than they do. Otherwise, how could you be silent when that person chose me? It was because in your opinion if the person chosen was me, you would have less remorse in your heart. After all, you don't like me in the first place, do you?"
Ivelle was silent and the terrible thing was that she was thinking that she was right.
Ivelle could no longer distinguish the inferiority of human nature. How many of her words were her true thoughts? Most of the time, she felt that what she said was right.
She wanted to save them was true but she did not try her best and it was also true. She would usually just let nature take its course and did not work very hard.
Even though she knew that Jordan might still be looking for her in Denmark, she felt at ease in this place.
"What's the matter? Do you have nothing to say? " She sneered and looked at her sarcastically.
Ivelle got up, said no more, and left.
Few people could dace their dirty hearts and neither could she.
The next day!
The sun shone through the glass and on the bedroom. It was already August.
It was going to be the beginning of Autumn soon.
