Chapter 495: Chapter 495
###Chapter 492 Encounter After Returning Home - Part 2
When Ivelle Astley was just a child, her grandmother would cook the batter for her. She would boil the water first, put the mixed noodles in the boiling water, and would constantly stir the boiling water so that Ivelle could eat the batter after about ten minutes.
It was thick and it would melt in the mouth. Although it was not good and delicious food, it can be used to fill her belly instead of porridge.
When she went to William Preston's bedroom, he seemed to be asleep. She saw him with his eyes closed.
Ivelle was not able to stop herself from saying, "Mr. Preston, are you asleep?"
He didn't respond. Ivelle hesitated for a moment and put the cooked batter aside to pull the quilt for him.
Ivelle was surprised to see that he was looking at her motionless.
Ivelle was a little surprised and subconsciously said, "Did I wake you?"
He smiled and shook his head slightly. "No, I didn't fall asleep in the first place."
As he spoke, he looked into the bowl and said, "What did you cook?"
Ivelle withdrew her hand, walked up to him with the bowl, and said, "There is no rice here, just some noodles. I cooked some. Can you get eat it?"
He tried to get up but because of the wound, he gasped with the sudden pain.
Ivelle reached out to help him, it was an instinctive action but because the action was too fast, she directly jumped on him!
"Sorry!" Ivelle was embarrassed for a moment but luckily the bowl in her hand didn't turn over.
Ivelle put down the bowl and went to help him again. She saw him looking at her again in a motionless state. Ivelle thought that he was thinking about what has happened so she said in a panic, "I didn't mean it. I just wanted to help you."
He laughed and said, "I know!"
He said he knew but he was still looking at her like that!
As she held him against the bed, Ivelle handed him the bowl and said, "Have a taste!"
He looked at her but instead of raising his hand, he looked at Ivelle and said, "Am I a patient now?"
Ivelle nodded, "Yes! "Since I'm a patient, it's not too much for you to feed me, right?" The words came out of his mouth which somewhat surprised her.
Ivelle pursed her lips and seriously looked at him, "Mr. Preston, I thought you were a cold person and you wouldn't make a joke like that."
He smiled, directly reached for the food, and took a shallow bite. He probably thought that it tasted good, he nodded slightly and said, "Did you usually cook at home?"
Sometimes Ivelle really couldn't understand how his thinking changed so fast and the topic would jump so fast because of that.
Ivelle shook her head, "No, but when I was a child, I saw my grandmother often do it and I thought I was familiar with the taste, so I did it."
He nodded and tasted the batter quietly as if he was eating a memorable and delicious food.
When Ivelle saw that he was quiet, she naturally didn't say much and just looked at him quietly.
After a moment of silence, he looked up at her and said, "Were you bitter when you lived in Primrose?"
Ivelle froze and looked at him in surprise. "How did you know that we lived in Primrose?"
He laughed. "Is that hard to find out? I told you, I want that sandalwood box for you. In that case, I will naturally look into your past. Is it not surprising to know this?"
For him, there seemed to be nothing wrong with this kind of logic. Ivelle nodded, "That's it!"
She saw him quietly waiting for her next topic and she could not help but pause, "In fact, it is not very bitter for me. Anyway, I think it is much better than now, the previous years are the best."
He smiled, put the bowl aside and his eyes fell quietly on her. "Do you regret choosing Jordan?"
Ivelle was stunned by this question. She couldn't find a topic to say for a moment. Ivelle got up and said, "There's more in the kitchen. Do you still want to eat?"
He blinked his eyes, shook his head slightly, and stopped asking questions.
When Ivelle went back to her bedroom, she was a little distracted and was thinking that she never regretted marrying Jordan.
Never!
There was loud thunder outside and it began to rain heavily, thinking that William was still hurt and that it was not worth closing the window in his room.
Ivelle got up to look and she knocked outside his door. There was no movement but she heard the sound of something that hit the ground inside.
Ivelle pushed the door open. William was not on the bed in the bedroom, the bedside lamp was on and there was a sound in the bathroom.
When she saw that the light inside was on, Ivelle breathed a sigh of relief. She went to the door, raised her hand, and knocked a few times. "Mr. Preston, are you all right?"
When he didn't answer, Ivelle felt a little worried. She asked, "Mr. Preston, are you alright?"
"I'm fine!" He spoke in a weak voice.
Ivelle was really worried. She pushed the door and discovered that it was locked. She had no choice but to wait for him outside.
It took a long time for him to come out of the bathroom. Wrapped in a bath towel, he seemed to have gone in to take a bath.
When she saw him like this, she frowned. "Didn't you know that you can't touch the water now? You have deep wounds, don't you know? It's easy for it to get infected."
Ivelle was a little angry and she pulled him back into the chair. She ripped off his bath towel without much thought and tried to re-examine his wound.
But Ivelle overlooked the point that he only had a pair of shorts underneath the bathrobe after he took a shower.
Embarrassed for about a moment, she tried to act normal. Ivelle looked at the wound and there was nothing else.
When she saw that his body was a little tight, Ivelle said, "Don't be nervous. I'll just take a look at the wound. I may have to re-bandage it, otherwise, it will easily get infected!"
She found a medicine kit and squat beside him. The man's figure was really top-notch, strong, fleshy, and with his clothes off, his abs looked really strong.
"There's water in the wound and there's some suppuration!" Ivelle said. She was a little angry, she looked at him and said, "If you really want to take a bath, you can just wipe yourself with a towel. Your wound will be easily infected if you flush it with water directly."
He looked at Ivelle and smiled, "I'm used to it, it's all right!"
When he said those words, Ivelle thought that he didn't regard his life as important at all. She glared at him angrily and said, "Don't hurt yourself so much at all. Can't you live a good life?"
He smiled but his face was still cold. "Do you treat Jordan like this?"
Ivelle frowned and looked at him. She couldn't control her emotions for a moment.
"When will you take me home?" After a pause, Ivelle said, "Jordan is my husband. I am afraid that he will get hurt. I am afraid that you will get hurt because I owe you favor out of humanitarianism."
With a smile, he said, "I still have some things to do in Western Europe. I'll go back after the conversation. In addition, your friends may need to take care of their health before they can go back. Otherwise, they will be prone to accidents!"
