Chapter 467: Chapter 467
###Chapter 464 All People Get Lost - Part 1
Obviously stunned, she looked at me from head to toe, and her eyes fell on my black shirt.
Her face was very pale and she unconsciously bit her lip to put up with her emotions.
I was slightly shocked. "I'll blow dry my hair later." I didn't like drying my hair with a hair blower. I could not dry my hair in winter, but I didn't want to dry it in other seasons, which could also damage my hair.
When Jordan Astley saw this, he frowned slightly. His eyes looked around and stopped at Director Kent's direction, "Since you have been promoted to the AI marketing, go and do the other things with Felix Stewart."
Director Kent frowned, looked at me, and said to him, "Boss Astley, all these have to go through you."
"Go!" Jordan Astley interrupted her and ordered her. He looked at me and raised his hands, "Come here!"
When I walked up to Jordan Astley, Director Kent probably felt that I had some beauty disaster and stared at me enviously.
She left angrily.
As Jordan Astley pulled me closer to his arms, he said in a low voice, "If you don't blow-dry your hair, you could catch a cold."
As he spoke, he took the towel from my hand and wiped my hair.
I nodded and couldn't help looking down at some long nails that had not been cut for a long time that should be cut.
From my peripheral view, I noticed that he was staring at me. His eyebrows seemed to be furrowed and his eyes seemed to be giving away that he was in deep thought.
"Was there something on my face?" That was my instinctive reaction. I raised my hand and wiped my face. I couldn't help but wonder.
He laughed, and there was a flash of light in his eyes.
"No!" As he spoke, his smile seemed to grow wider.
I nodded, thought about it, and said, "Shall we go to lunch later?"
"What would you like to eat?"
"Anything will do!"
I answered but didn't say what I wanted to eat.
Jordan Astley said he was going to have a meeting and dried my hair. Felix Stewart came to urge him several times, saying that there was a meeting on the German side, and told him to hurry over.
He was in no hurry and motioned to Felix Stewart to find clothes and let me change before leaving.
I was a little helpless, but I couldn't help but feel a little hurt.
Director Kent suddenly came in which surprised me a little. When I saw her, I said, "He's gone to a meeting."
She nodded, looked down, and put the papers back on her desk.
She was not in a hurry to go out but stood in front of me as if he had something to say.
I looked up at her and said, "What does Miss Kent have to say?"
She didn't say anything, but sat directly opposite me, and only after looking at me did she say, "Boss Astley didn't go back until late in the evening, right?"
I frowned at her and said nothing.
She smiled and looked relaxed. "Aren't you going to ask?"
"You can just say it." I was not very good at chatting with people I was not familiar with.
She curled her lips and said with some ostentatious gestures, "AI is for public sale. He and I have to work late every night. Sometimes we get busy, and we even forget to eat. Fortunately, Felix Stewart is very sweet that he reminds me all the time."
"Ivelle, you are far away from his footsteps. What he needs is a woman who can walk side by side with him."
When I looked at her, I suddenly remembered the lipstick mark on Jordan Astley's collar.
I was not angry, but just said faintly, "In my three values, I have always felt that every mother will teach their daughters to be polite, righteous, and shameful when they are growing up, but now it seems that not every girl has a mother."
"You." She glared at me when she was poked at the sore spot.
I smiled, "Miss Kent, your excellence and professionalism are recognized and appreciated by people, but as for others, I believe that Jordan and I share the same view. Those who come from behind will catch up. I actually hope you can succeed."
She frowned, not knowing what I meant.
Looking at her faintly, I smiled and said nothing.
After looking at each other for a moment, she went out looking upset.
It was already lunch time.
Jordan Astley chose Mexican cuisine for our lunch date. The taste was very light and unique, which was very suitable for a girl's taste.
"Do you have any plans for the afternoon?" As Jordan Astley asked, and his men still didn't stop picking up food for me.
I paused and shook my head. "I don't know yet!"
Seeing that I didn't talk much, he didn't bother me either. When I finished eating, he reached out and grabbed me and said, "I've been busy lately. I'm sorry I didn't accompany you."
I smiled and shook my head. "I know, so you don't have to be sorry."
It was all over. After eating so much for the first time, he took hold of his hand and said, "Go, let's go for a walk, and stop eating."
It was still early, so I just obeyed him and wandered around the city with him.
The street was full of people and pedestrians. He grabbed me while crossing the road and turned back and told me, "Don't run!"
Just like how my father told me, I smiled and looked up at the starlight in the sky and saw the envious eyes of passers-by.
I forgot that he stood out of the crowd.
Young men and women were coming and going on the road. Across the road, a couple hugged each other tightly and seemed unwilling to let go.
After crossing the street, I couldn't help pulling Jordan Astley's sleeve. He looked down at me and said, "Did you want to talk to me?"
I nodded, pointed to the couple still hugging each other by the side of the road, and smiled, "You never seem to have told me about your love when you were young."
After a pause, I thought of Nicole Blakeley. But he told me once before that he never loved Nicole Blakeley.
Walking in the bustling crowd, he approached me and said, "I never fell in love when I was younger."
As soon as I heard that, I was surprised and looked at him and said, "Unbelievable!"
"At that time, there were countless courses and papers to write every day, and my grandfather asked me to study law, so I basically didn't have time."
There was an explanation, but I kind of skimmed my mouth and said, "Where were the girls that were attracted to you?"
His eyes fell on me, somewhat profound, "When I met you in Madrid."
As soon as I was stunned, my cheeks flushed a little.
Walking slowly, he said, "Don't you have any questions you want to ask me?"
I was puzzled and looked up at him. "What?"
"Sister Finn said I had lipstick on my shirt the other day. Why didn't you ask me?"
I froze a little and then said, " I trust you!"
He was stupefied for a moment as if he had something on his mind. I didn't think about it. I tried to stay in a good mood and stroll through the whole street with him.
I still had to go to the office this afternoon.
I stood by the door of the company and didn't bother going up. I waved at him and motioned to him to go upstairs.
He didn't leave. He just looked at me and said, "Go back. I'll watch you leave."
I did not refuse. I gave him a small smile as I was kind of regretting not being able to see him and then left.
After walking a few steps, I looked back, ran into his arms, hugged him, and said, "You have to be good."
He frowned and wondered, "What's the matter? Why are you unwilling to go back?"
I shook my head, hugged him, and said, "I just wanted to hug you."
I heard him laugh lightly. "Why don't you stay, and we'll go back together tonight?"
I loosened him and tidied up his tie. I smiled and said, "All right, I'm going back."
