Chapter 357: Chapter 357

###Chapter 354 People Always Change - Part 5

When she saw the two of them coming, Eva's tears were the same as those of an actress. She shed her tears as soon as the two men got to be near them and she was not ambiguous at all.

"Brad, I just left with Blossom to accompany her get some dessert. And Mrs. Astley here suddenly came; she said she wouldn't let me touch her child and slapped me. It was too much."

Ivelle could no longer hold her tongue because Eva just turned the tables! She pursed her lips and looked at her indifferently, still feeling angry. She said, "Eva if you liked such affectation, I don't mind slapping you again. Besides, don't think it would be an advantage of you just because you have a child in your belly. If you liked to die, I don't mind doing something bad to you right here."

Brad frowned. He looked at me and said, "Well, if you have anything good to say, might as well not do it."

After saying this, he looked at Blossom and said, "Blossom, do you want to eat anything else?"

Blossom looked up at me and looked at Eva who was crying a lot of pails. The little girl was clever. "She made my mother angry, so my mother beat her."

Brad was stupefied for a moment but regained himself and smiled. He nodded and said, "Uncle knows, uncle doesn't blame your mother, okay?"

Blossom nodded and handed the desert to Jordan. She said, "Uncle Jordan, let's go home. My mother is in a bad mood."

Jordan's eyes fell on Ivelle the moment they had arrived until that time. Although he did not say anything, his eyes were deep and dark, and he looked transparent before her.

Brad obviously did not care too much about Eva's emotions. He had his heart on the cute Blossom. All the way to the outside of the restaurant, he was just talking to her.

When they faintly said goodbye to each other, Blossom got on the car and soon fell asleep.

The traffic light was red. And so, they stopped.

Jordan reached out and grabbed Ivelle and said, "Have you lost your temper, again?"

She was stupefied and shrugged her shoulder. "It's long gone."

He smiled. "So, what did Eva just say to make you angry? I want to know."

When her hand was held, he looked down at her palm and said with a smile, "Does it hurt?"

"I'm the one who hit people. I don't know what it means." Ivelle took her hand back and thought of Eva's words. She could not help looking sideways and subconsciously looked at Jordan's lower body.

Ivelle's eyes were too naked that Jordan could see her soul. He squinted slightly and asked her obscurely, "What's the matter?"

Realizing that there was something wrong with her eyes, she shifted her gaze away from him and thought about it. She asked, "You-Did you get it?"

He did not seem to react. The green light was on and he started the car. He was just wondering and asked, "Huh?"

There was a sound.

He wore the ring four years ago, and Ivelle was not with him for those four years so she naturally did not know anything.

According to Eva, maybe he did not use it, so that was why there were such rumors.

"What did you mean I got? Got what?" He looked sideways at me, still wondering.

Ivelle opened her mouth to speak and her face was burning a little. "Birth control ring. You didn't. Do you want to take it off?"

He was stupefied for a moment but smiled. His pair of black eyes turned to me and raised his eyebrows. "If you want to have children, I'd love to."

Ivelle curled her lips. So, did he not take it off?

"If you wear it for a long time, you will be infertile!" Four years was such a long time. Ivelle did not know if it would have an impact.

He smiled. "Don't worry, your husband is in good health. If you want to have a baby, I'll be satisfied with all of them."

Instead of continuing to rely on him because of his assurance, she said earnestly, "Make an appointment tomorrow to remove the ring immediately."

Even if they would not end up with each other in the future, Ivelle did not want him to have any children all his life because of her. Her conscience could certainly not bear it.

He looked at her and laughed. "There's no hurry about the baby."

......

The matter of removing the ring was postponed on and on because Ivelle was busy, that it was not put on the agenda. But Ivelle did not expect that she would be the first to be informed of the death of Selena.

It rained continuously at the end of September, and Ivelle seldom went out because of her preparation for the exam. When she received the text message, she was a little surprised. It was from an unknown number and there were only a few words, "Turn on the TV and wait for her death."

The message looked like a ridiculous prank. Ivelle frowned and turned off her phone. She went on reviewing for her exam.

Then there was a phone call from Kyle. With some inexplicable remorse, he asked, "Is it, Mr. Astley?"

She frowned. What on earth did that inexplicable remark mean?

"What's the matter?"

Realizing that Ivelle did not seem to know the reason, he said, "Selena was taken a turn in her own home, and the police are still investigating. I heard that the death was done ruthlessly."

Ivelle froze for a moment. The book her hand closed involuntarily, and she subconsciously turned on the TV.

Indeed, the whole network was concerned about the death of Selena.

"Isn't Mr. Astley with you?" On the other end of the phone, Kyle opened his mouth to ask Ivelle.

She frowned and remembered his opening sentence. Ivelle could not help but get cold. "Jordan is not so despicable yet."

He seemed to recognize her angry words, and so he hurriedly apologized.

People would change. She had been in shopping malls for many years and had long become a bone essence in shopping malls. After all, she was not the same person anymore.

After hanging up the phone, Ivelle looked at the message she just received on her cell phone.

The phone call was unconnected anymore. After thinking about it, she still called Jordan.

The phone was connected after several rings, and there was a voice on the other end which seemed to be in a meeting. "Ivelle, what's wrong?"

His voice was not loud, but he opened his mouth and the background noise which seemed to voice disappeared. It obviously went silent.

"What's going on with Selena?" She said with no intention of questioning but realizing that the tone was wrong. She rephrased what she had said and continued, "I just received a message, which is very suspicious."

"Never mind that. She terminated her contract with Astley. All her later actions have nothing to do with Astley. Don't think about it too much." He spoke in a low, hoarse voice.

After a pause, she nodded and did not say much, so she hung up the phone.

But for the information she just received inexplicably, she always felt strange. Ivelle thought about it and called again. But the phone was now off and unreachable.

The doorbell outside the villa rang and Ivelle got up. She went downstairs and opened the door. There came Alice.

As soon as she opened the door, Alice slapped her on her face before she could react. The slap was solid enough.

Her head was buzzing that it took her a while to recover. There was blood spilled from the corners of her mouth.

Looking up at Alice, she suppressed her anger and said, "Why do you always have to be so arrogant? Do you want to tell me the reason why did you hit me just now?"

She sneered. With full of disdain, she answered, "Reason? The death of Selena is the reason! Ivelle, I originally thought you could live in peace after you left for four years but then you came back again, and I underestimated you. What good does it bring for a woman who has the guts to ruin her own mother's reputation? Selena just admires prudent speech. You can fight and scold if you don't like it. Why did you let her die so miserably?"

So, she thought Ivelle had something to do with the death of Selena? She almost laughed when she looked at her. "Miss Astley, you think too highly of me. If I were really so ruthless, you wouldn't have a chance to let me slap in the face."

She disdained, "Stop pretending! Selena has denigrated and humiliated you. You can hold a grudge and want to kill her. No matter what kind of strength the Weld family or the Biden family has, it's easy to kill an actress quietly. You're so ruthless, Ivelle! You have no heart and conscience!"

It did not seem to make sense and what's more, she did not come here to question whether Ivelle killed Selena or not. To put it bluntly, she did not care who killed Selena. She decided that it was her, and she could not change it no matter what reasons or what Ivelle would say to her.

There was no one left there in the Astley family's house and she did not want to talk to Alice more, so she just said, "People have been beaten and scolded, Miss Astley. We could not deny that fact."
