Chapter 278: Chapter 278
###Chapter 277 One Wrong Step – Part 15
Jordan curled his lips and looked embarrassed. "So, are you going to use your own?"
"What else needs to be done?" Ivelle sighed and felt helpless.
"Um!" She was an adult, and she had a child herself. She looked at him and said, "When my baby was delivered, it was a natural birth, so at first I had milk. But later on, because my baby was gone, there was no more stimulation from the baby. As there is no prolactin secretion anymore, it naturally cut off."
He frowned. "So now, you do it yourself?" He was a little unhappy. "What did you eat last night?"
She let herself be honest with him, "Traditional Western medicine for lactation."
"The doctor recommended it with massage and other methods," she pursed her lips and didn't say the rest.
"Massage and other methods?" He suddenly sneered, "Massage yourself? And then what are you going to do in other ways?" What he said was full of sarcasm.
She pursed her lips and said angrily, "Jordan, aren't you so interesting?"
He was silent and did not speak.
After a while, she said, "The baby is premature and in poor health, as there is no breast milk. Now it is obviously a three-month-old child, but it looks as if it has just been born. Jordan, I have been an orphan since childhood. I am lucky that my grandmother raised me. Now that Grandma and Maisie are gone, she entrusts the child to me. All I have to do is try my best to protect her."
She did not know how to love others, nor did she know how to accept other people's love, but she knew that there was another type of love she was called for by being good to her.
Because of love, she put herself in her shoes. This child felt like she was hers. She would give her all the good she could do.
Jordan looked at her with deep and complicated eyes. "What about me? For you, I am not even an important person, and Aaron left you regret, but what about me? What am I? A dispensable husband?"
What Jordan wanted, in fact, she had always known, but it was needed by her and taken to heart by her.
The light in the bedroom was dim and gloomy, but his eyes were particularly bright. Their eyes were opposite to each other, but she couldn't say anything for a moment.
After a while, he let go of her and took some decadent two steps back. With self-deprecating hook lips, he was resigned.
"Good for you, Ivelle." Seeing that he turned to leave, she reached out and grabbed him.
She couldn't say what it felt like in her heart, and this action was almost subconscious. "I want to put you first than anyone else, but I'm growing more and more afraid that one day, just when I can't live without you, you will suddenly leave."
He looked back at her with deep eyes, "So, you'll ignore all my feelings? You let everyone enter your heart but you only come to hurt me?"
She shook her head and looked at him. "No, I didn't mean to hurt you, but I don't have a sense of security. I'm afraid you'll leave. I'm afraid you won't want me."
He was stupefied for a moment, and his tall, slender body stiffened slightly. He reached out and hugged her somewhat helplessly, "That's silly!"
After a while, she leaned against his heart, and his voice was low and introverted. "No matter how much we quarrel in the future, we can't get divorced that casually, Ivelle. I won't let you go, and I won't divorce you."
She didn't talk. She was so stupid that she didn't know how to deal with this marriage.
......
It was the end of the year, so most companies had already taken annual leave, and Jordan had nothing to do with his.
Marcela Yeardly didn't celebrate St. Patrick's Day with them, so it was just Ivelle and Jordan.
She took Jordan to the Victory apartment. Parker Wesley's company had no holiday and was still busy. Jon took care of Blossom.
When he opened the door to see Jordan and Ivelle, he was stupefied for a moment, then his face was calm, and said, "Blossom had just fallen asleep."
She nodded, entered the door, and said, "How was she last night?"
"Well, she was fine!" As he spoke, his eyes fell on Jordan, but only by one quick glance, then he moved away.
Thinking about his college days, she couldn't help looking at Jordan and said, "This is Jon, my college friend. You should know him."
Jon glared at her with an awkward smile on his face and said, "Hello, Boss Astley!"
Jordan said, "Hello!"
Jordan's aura was so cold that it was difficult for Ivelle to get them warmed up, so Jon said hello to him and went directly to see Blossom.
Ivelle took Jordan and followed Jon into the room of Blossom. The little baby ate milk powder and fell asleep.
Jordan looked at the baby in a trance and raised his hand to touch the child, but then he hesitated.
This was probably the case with all men, who were at a loss in the face of new-born children.
Jon took the clothes changed from Blossom, put them in the laundry room, looked at Ivelle, and said, "Do you want any more medicine today?"
She was embarrassed for a moment, but her eyes fell on the thin figure of the baby. She nodded and said, "Yes, I need to drink some!"
Jon glanced at Jordan and saw that his eyes were all on the baby, so he couldn't help raising his eyebrows and went out.
Jordan and Ivelle were left alone. He was so attentive to the baby that he looked at her only after a while and said, "Isn't she so precious?"
Ivelle didn't expect him to say something like that all of a sudden, so she was startled. She nodded her head and said, "Yes."
Touching his deep eyes, she couldn't help bowing her head and didn't say the words on the edge of her mouth.
"Do you know...?" He continued to speak, while his long fingers fell gently on the cheeks of the baby.
"I don't know!" He probably knew all about it, and it would be too much for her to keep hiding it.
He nodded and watched the corners of the child's mouth rise slightly, looking particularly good-looking. "Let's get Mr. Kian ready for a moment. We'll take her to the office, leave the child's stuff, and take her back to Astley's home to meet the Astley family elders during the St. Patrick's Day celebrations."
She didn't react to it. She couldn't help staring at him. Seeing that her mind was distracted, he said, "What's the matter?"
She shook her head. "No!" She couldn't help but feel warm in her heart.
After a moment, she looked at him and said, "Thank you, Jordan!" She needed to take care of Blossom, but he seemed to have made up his mind for her and regarded the baby as his own child.
Jon boiled the medicine and handed it to her. It was a big black bowl. It turned her stomach when he looked at her, but she had to drink it anyway.
She held her nose and drank it all. Jon stuffed her with candy and said, "The doctor said you need to cooperate with the massage after taking the medicine, so it is necessary for you as adults to try it."
He was supposed to state something, but he couldn't help feeling embarrassed. He looked at Jordan, shut up for a moment, and then went out.
Jordan looked at Ivelle and flared his lips. "It's one-third of the poison, and it's not good for your health."
She said graciously as her eyes fell on Blossom, "I want to go to the hospital later."
"I'll stay with you!" He spoke.
She was about to refuse when Blossom suddenly burst into tears, so she did not know what happened.
She couldn't coax the baby, and she was afraid to reach for her. She was in a hurry to go out and find Jon.
