Chapter 139: Chapter 139
Although Lin Fan couldn’t fight, he had money, and sometimes cash worked better than anything else.
These thugs were here for money, after all, it was all about making money. Even though they have a certain code among criminals, with enough money, those codes could be easily set aside.
Lin Fan said, "That’s right, but I have one condition. Tell me who sent you."
The scar-faced man looked around and said, "I can only tell you that alone."
Lin Fan then asked Zhang Dafu to bring over some paper and a pen for the scar-faced man to write down the name.
The scar-faced man scribbled a name, folded the paper, and handed it to Lin Fan.
Lin Fan opened the paper and saw the name: Feng Wanshan!
Lin Fan chuckled. So it was Feng Wanshan. No wonder Anna hadn’t come over yet—Feng Wanshan must have ordered her not to intervene.
The scar-faced man then said, "Mr. Lin, give me the money and this all will be over. I promise Hu Dahai won’t bother you anymore!"
Lin Fan replied, "Give you money? What do you mean by give you money?"
The scar-faced man was stunned and then shouted angrily, "Didn’t you just say you’d pay me twenty times the money? Are you playing with me?"
Everyone was drenched in sweat. Damn it, Lin Fan was being so shameless!
Lin Fan smiled, "Yes, I was playing you. You guys came to beat up my people and disrupt my project, and I still have to ask you for compensation. How could I possibly give you money? You’re dreaming."
The scar-faced man was furious, "You punk, you’re asking for it! I’ll ask you again, are you paying or not?"
"You’re extorting me?"
Lin Fan chuckled and then shouted, "Officer, you can come out now!"
Suddenly, Loli burst in with a gang of police officers, surrounding the thugs.
"Nobody move!" Loli shouted loudly.
It turned out they were already lying in ambush outside, just waiting for Lin Fan’s signal.
The gangsters were scared out of their wits.
The scar-faced Hu Dahai turned pale as he realized he had walked right into Lin Fan’s trap.
"You punk, you dared to set me up!" Hu Dahai roared in rage.
Lin Fan smiled slightly. On the way here, he considered that if the thugs came to cause trouble again, he would need help. Although Anna was strong, she wasn’t his person and he couldn’t fully trust her. To be safe, he made a second plan and called Loli for assistance.
This arrangement was wise because, indeed, the thugs had come back, and this time, they hit the muzzle.
Soon, Hu Dahai and the gang of thugs were all apprehended by the police.
Hu Dahai was filled with hatred and said viciously, "Lin Fan, just you wait. When I get out, I won’t let you off!"
Lin Fan turned and asked Zhang Dafu, "Did you get it all on record?"
He had previously instructed Zhang Dafu to film his negotiations with the scar-faced man.
Zhang Dafu nodded, "Yes, it’s all recorded."
Lin Fan nodded and then looked at Hu Dahai, smiling, "Don’t worry, I’ll have my lawyer sue you. For extorting a huge amount of money and causing damages to our personal and property rights, you won’t see me for at least ten years. Forgot to mention, my lawyer is from Xingquan Law Firm."
Hu Dahai was scared out of his wits when he heard that.
Xingquan Law Firm, notorious for never losing a case!
Hu Dahai suddenly realized he might really be doomed.
"Mr. Lin, I’m sorry, I was wrong, please spare me, be generous!" Hu Dahai’s legs went weak, and he quickly begged for mercy.
Lin Fan simply ignored him.
Loli snapped, "Stop wasting words. Even if Lin Fan spares you, I won’t. Take them away!"
Hu Dahai and the others were forcibly taken away by the police, and what awaited them was jail time.
Loli stayed behind, her face serious, "Lin Fan, may I speak with you privately?"
Lin Fan said, "Sure, come to my office."
So, the two went to the office and closed the door.
Loli immediately dropped her serious face, looking shy and looking at Lin Fan with starry eyes. Upon receiving the call for help from her idol, she came over immediately.
As a police officer, it was her duty to uphold justice, not to mention her idol was in trouble; it was a perfect opportunity to see him.
"Thank you today, I owe you one." Lin Fan smiled.
Loli’s eyes sparkled as she giggled, "Really? So how do you plan to repay me?"
Lin Fan replied, "How would you like me to repay you?"
Loli blushed and said, "Come have dinner at my place tonight. My mom said she wants to meet you... It’s all Aunt Song’s fault for being such a gossip, telling her about that day!"
Lin Fan laughed, "You still want me to pretend to be your boyfriend? It’s not right to deceive my future mother-in-law, is it?"
Loli sweat, you already consider her your mother-in-law, and you say it’s not right!
"I don’t care, you said you owe me, you can’t go back on your word!" Loli said, sounding rather justified.
Lin Fan sighed, "Alright, I’ll come over for dinner tonight."
Loli was thrilled; her mom had given her a political mission, and she hadn’t known how to broach the topic with Lin Fan before. She finally succeeded in completing the mission!
Loli remembered something and said seriously, "Oh, Lin Fan, that Hu Dahai just wrote you a note about who invited him to cause trouble. Who was it?"
Lin Fan chuckled, "That, I won’t say for now. Officer, you don’t need to ask about it either. I’ll handle it."
Lin Fan coldly laughed inside, knowing Anna should be arriving soon.
Outside the construction site.
Anna stopped her motorcycle, surprised seeing the police escorting the thugs into police cars!
Anna was somewhat bewildered but soon saw Lin Fan walking out unharmed, accompanied by a beautiful policewoman.
It turned out Lin Fan was unscathed, and the thugs got busted by the police!
Foster father initially wanted to take out his anger on Lin Fan, but it seemed they miscalculated this time.
After the police left.
Anna approached Lin Fan, "I’m sorry, master, I’m late. What happened? Are you alright?"
Lin Fan smiled, "I’m fine. That group came to cause trouble again, but fortunately, I reported it to the police and caught them. Also, I’ve found out who sent them."
Anna was taken aback, keeping a calm exterior, "Who was it?"
Lin Fan looked at her and said, "Feng Wanshan."
Anna was a bit surprised, "Him? Could it be because of last night’s incident that he held a grudge against you?"
Lin Fan said, "It seems so. Anna, I need you to do something. Teach Feng Wanshan a lesson for me."
Feng Wanshan was leisurely sitting at home, sipping tea while waiting for good news.
In the morning, he had sent Hu Dahai to Lin Fan’s construction site to cause trouble. After Anna informed him, he found out Lin Fan was at the site, so he sent Hu Dahai there again and instructed Anna to find an excuse to leave.
This way, Lin Fan would have no one to help him, leaving him to take a beating.
He wouldn’t be satisfied until Lin Fan got beaten up.
But before he could hear back about Lin Fan, he saw his son, Feng Tianming, come in with a battered face!
Feng Wanshan’s face darkened, "You useless brat! Were you beaten by Lin Fan? Your disgrace has brought shame to your father’s face!"
Feng Tianming was stunned. How did his father know Lin Fan beat him?
"Dad, you know who beat me? How did you know?" Feng Tianming asked, surprised.
Feng Wanshan naturally heard it from Anna, who took the opportunity to tell him, explaining her helpless situation only allowed her to assist Lin Fan.
Feng Wanshan couldn’t blame Anna, which only intensified his annoyance with Lin Fan.
Feng Wanshan replied, "No need to concern yourself with how I know. Just know your father will get your revenge."
Feng Tianming was delighted, "Dad, you’re getting revenge for me?"
Feng Wanshan proudly said, "Yes, soon there’ll be good news."
At that moment, Feng Wanshan’s phone rang.
Feng Wanshan answered the call, his face changed instantly, and he jumped up from the sofa, his face twisted with anger.
"What? Hu Dahai and they were arrested? Lin Fan is perfectly fine?"
