Chapter 877: Chapter 877
Wei Xiaotian spread his fingers, and a faint black mist appeared at his fingertips. He reached suddenly into the void and plucked a ghostly eye out of thin air. This phantom eye was identical to the previous Death God's Eye, though considerably smaller and seemingly made from pure spiritual energy.
Wei Xiaotian gently moved his fingers. An ancient power, one never before witnessed within him, slowly began to awaken. Accompanied by the subtle flickering of his fingertips, the illusory eyeball gradually decomposed, as it was carefully pulled apart piece by piece.
He proceeded cautiously, finishing the entire process within roughly three minutes. Once Wei Xiaotian had thoroughly dismantled the spectral eye, he raised his other hand, revealing eight faint, ink-black clouds in his palm that were continuously shifting forms.
These clouds matched the eight forms Delta had assumed after each rebirth. Wei Xiaotian carefully merged the fragmented phantom eye with these eight swirling clouds, then slammed both palms together.
The clouds and the phantom eye were forcibly compressed into a single black sphere. Satisfied, he opened his mouth and swallowed the dark sphere without hesitation. Immediately, a sinister, ink-black pattern emerged across his skin, like swollen veins bulging grotesquely beneath the surface. A cruel and malicious aura seeped from every pore of Wei Xiaotian’s body.
Dark radiance flickered across his face, revealing faint glimpses of shifting features. They were precisely the nine faces Delta had displayed through its Death God’s Eye.
Li Xiaofei bore witness to all this, since his body was swollen to a sphere-like shape. He realized Wei Xiaotian was performing some horrific, evil ritual, yet found himself powerless to stop it.
At this moment, the Blood-Drinking Sword behaved as if possessed, relentlessly injecting energy into his body, as though determined to push him past the breaking point. Meanwhile, the immense surge of Immortal Force inside him raced chaotically along the Twelve Primary Meridians of the Dual Sacred Body of Blade and Sword, as well as through his Eight Extraordinary Meridians.
Li Xiaofei vaguely sensed that a hidden acupuncture point had been forcibly unblocked within these twenty meridian channels, causing an immediate breakthrough and greatly enhancing the smoothness of his energy pathways.
Since the Twelve Primary Meridians and Eight Extraordinary Meridians were now open, the overwhelming surge of Immortal Force within his body began to naturally assimilate. ᴛhis chapter is ᴜpdated by 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝✦𝘧𝙞𝙧𝙚✦𝕟𝕖𝕥
At this point, even the Blood-Drinking Sword seemed to realize it was dangerously close to killing its own master. Surprisingly, the sword drew Immortal Force back out from Li Xiaofei. A peculiar and harmonious cycle of Immortal Force emerged between the man and his sword.
Li Xiaofei experienced a sensation of complete transcendence. He felt as though he had merged entirely with the Great Dao and become an inseparable fragment of the universe's fundamental laws. His consciousness blurred as he lost all sense of time and space.
He had no idea how long he had drifted in that nebulous state. Then suddenly, a loud rumble like the primordial chaos being split apart echoed through his mind, jolting him back into awareness.
His consciousness returned to his physical body, and Li Xiaofei opened his eyes. He found himself still drifting in the void, his clothing having long since vanished into ashes.
His body radiated alternating hues of gold and silver, their brilliant glow shielding his nakedness. Countless swords of light formed shimmering wings of gold and silver that gently drifted behind him with a serene grace.
The Blood-Drinking Sword hovered timidly before him, like a child who knew it had misbehaved. Below, Wei Xiaotian stared upward at Li Xiaofei, his face filled with astonishment and excitement.
"Tsk, tsk. Truly a rare spectacle," he marveled aloud. "Your body was remolded by an Emperor's weapon, fully perfecting your Dual Sacred Body of Blade and Sword. This world finally has a second person who has reached this legendary state."
Li Xiaofei could also sense something fundamentally different about his body.
Wei Xiaotian continued, his voice tinged with admiration, "Not only has your physique been transformed, but your cultivation realm has forcibly advanced as well. You've leaped from the Four Extremes Realm directly into a flawless Five Dragons Realm. Ha! I finally understand. This sword was always meant for you. Perhaps they could no longer wait."
Li Xiaofei stretched, feeling an unprecedented surge of energy coursing through every cell of his body. He reached out and the Blood-Drinking Sword obediently into his palm. As his hand closed around the sword’s hilt, a profound sensation of bloodline connection surged between them.
This feeling was entirely different from when he previously held the sword. When Li Xiaofei had gripped the Blood-Drinking Sword before, there was indeed a sense of affinity, probably due to his Dual Sacred Body of Blade and Sword. But the intimacy he felt now went far beyond mere affinity.
With the Blood-Drinking Sword in his hand at this moment, Li Xiaofei felt as though the sword had become a genuine part of himself. He had absolute control.
“Hand them over,” Li Xiaofei demanded coldly, sword in hand, looking down at Wei Xiaotian.
Though his cultivation had just advanced into the Five Dragons Realm, the energy within the Blood-Drinking Sword had not diminished much. Combined with the overwhelming strength of his perfected Dual Sacred Body of Blade and Sword, Li Xiaofei was confident he could face even a Seven Transformation Realm expert without fear.
“Haha, I'm afraid that’s impossible.” Wei Xiaotian smiled faintly, showing no fear as he said, “They’ve already left this place. Indeed, they've left the Xiao Kuang Star Region entirely. Hall Master Li, you’re too late again.”
Murderous intent surged in Li Xiaofei’s eyes.
“Don’t be so eager to attack,” Wei Xiaotian said calmly, seemingly indifferent to his own safety. “Don’t you want to know where they’ve been taken?”
“Where?” Li Xiaofei demanded sharply.
Wei Xiaotian pointed into the distance. Far away, a massive spatial anchor loomed. The retreating Reaper army flooded chaotically toward it, fleeing desperately like receding tides.
“They’ve been sent exactly where they belong,” Wei Xiaotian explained, his tone sinister yet composed. “You never understood their true value, so you let down your guard. But to the Reapers, to Eden—no, to the entire universe—they’re the true keys, the greatest turning point. Ha ha ha! Frankly speaking, I must thank you and those five individuals for finally delivering the solution straight into my hands.”
Li Xiaofei’s heart sank, fury and shock mingling together. He asked, “You tricked me?”
If Sikong Xue and the others had indeed been transported through the spatial anchor to the opposite side on Planet Nock, they were now trapped within the Fallen Zones controlled by the Reapers. The mere thought of their potential fate was enough to fill him with dread.
“I’ve never once lied to you,” Wei Xiaotian replied calmly, maintaining his serene demeanor. “Especially when I speak to you in this identity. Do you know why Delta, the Death God's Eye himself, chose to personally descend onto Stargate Base despite knowing the extreme danger involved?”
Li Xiaofei’s eyes blazed with fury.
Wei Xiaotian, seemingly oblivious, continued, “Because he desperately wanted Sikong Xue and her daughter, of course. Ha! If he hadn’t come here, I wouldn’t have handed them over. Therefore, even if it meant risking his own annihilation, even if it cost him the entire Death God's Eye Legion, he still had to come. In his view, even sacrificing everything he possessed was entirely worth it.”
Li Xiaofei gripped his sword tightly and moved forward, his voice icy and filled with menace. “Just what kind of secret is hidden within Sikong Xue and her daughter?”
His mind raced with uncertainty. Knowing this answer would greatly aid him in rescuing them. Li Xiaofei needed to understand clearly.
Wei Xiaotian smiled faintly as he said, “They possess the ultimate answer to this universe’s harmony.”
More cryptic riddles.
“If you can’t hand them over, then stay here forever,” Li Xiaofei declared, refusing to waste another moment.
The golden and silver sword-wings behind him abruptly flared open, releasing countless dazzling sword lights. Within moments, the entire area, tens of thousands of meters wide, was sealed and completely locked down. Each blade of luminous energy was pointed inward, their sharp tips aimed squarely at Wei Xiaotian, who stood at the center of this terrifying formation.
Seal. Contain. The power of absolute order surged and resonated within Li Xiaofei’s sword-wings. At this moment, Li Xiaofei stood tall and majestic, bathed in divine brilliance, as if he were a supreme king descended from the heavens. He was like a sacred, and inviolable presence. Yet Wei Xiaotian remained utterly fearless. Instead, excitement shone in his eyes.
“The young Emperor has awakened! Ha ha ha! How fortunate I am to witness the birth of humanity’s Sixth Emperor with my own eyes!”
Wei Xiaotian laughed uproariously, his expression wild and exhilarated.
You’re the Sixth Emperor, not me! Li Xiaofei cursed silently.
A thought flickered through his mind. Countless blades of light surged forth like torrential rain driven by violent winds, leaving no space for evasion as they streaked relentlessly toward Wei Xiaotian.
Wei Xiaotian made no effort to dodge. Blades of light cleaved through his arms and legs. Blood erupted violently as limbs were severed cleanly from his body and fell away.
Numerous sword tips hovered mere centimeters from Wei Xiaotian’s forehead, throat, and heart. A slight push forward, and he would be shredded into countless fragments.
“I’ll ask one final time, hand them over.” Li Xiaofei’s voice carried the chilling coldness of the deepest abyss. “Give me Sikong Xue and her daughter, and I might spare your life.”
Yet Wei Xiaotian merely smiled. He seemed utterly indifferent to his injuries. He stared calmly at the furious Li Xiaofei through the dense curtain of gold and silver blades and said, “Hall Master Li, I’ll wait for you on the other side. I have a feeling we’ll meet again. Humanity’s Sixth Emperor!”
As soon as he finished, Wei Xiaotian’s figure began to fade and dissipate. Even the blood flowing from his severed limbs vanished like smoke into thin air.
