Chapter 39: Chapter 39

Cecília

"Be careful not to fall."

Thomas has both hands over my eyes and is leading me somewhere in the dark. I almost trip over something, but he catches me.

As soon as we got off work he started directing me somewhere and didn't tell me where. I have no idea where we are when Thomas stops me in my tracks.

- I'm going to take my hands off your eyes now - he speaks in my ear and shivers all over with his thick voice so close to my skin.

“Okay,” I whisper. I blink a few times to get used to the lighting when he lets me look and I frown, not understanding where we are.

I look at the house in front of us, as big as the house I grew up in. There's a big yard all around, and Thomas takes my hand and starts leading me through it.

“Where are we?” I ask, looking around as he practically drags me across the room.

The house is beautiful from the outside, and the garden is even more beautiful. I see a large swimming pool at the back, beautifully manicured flowers scattered everywhere, and I let out a little surprised yelp when Thomas pulls me by the waist.

- What do you think?

- It's beautiful, but I don't understand - I say and look around again.

Thomas drags his nose into mine and kisses my mouth.

“It's ours,” he says. I widen my eyes and put my hands over my mouth. - If you want. It's ours.

“But…” I feel my eyes water and I look around again before looking at him. — And the apartment?

Thomas smiles and cups my face.

- Come with me.

He opens the door of the house and takes me through the room, which is already fully furnished, the way I would if I were the one to choose everything. I don't know how he knew what to choose, but this house is perfect for me. He leads me to a table set with candles and more flowers.

“I'm not used to you being romantic,” I say as he pulls out my chair. I sit down and he pours us both wine. "Did you really buy this house for the two of us?"

“Of course, crystal,” he says and sits down next to me.

I get lost in the pretty eyes that shine so brightly for me right now. Thomas takes my hands and kisses my knuckles.

"I would buy the whole world for you." Cecilia…” He squeezes my fingers. “I went crazy thinking I was going to lose you. When those motherfuckers... I couldn't stand it if anything happened to you.

"Nothing will happen to me...

“I won't let you,” he interrupts. “But Cecilia… I can't do this. I don't want to do this. We are not getting married.

I feel my heart sink and I bite my lip to try to stop a tear from escaping.

“What… what are you talking about?”

Thomas lets go of my hand and sighs. He picks up a folder that's in the other corner of the desk that I hadn't noticed. He opens it and I see the contract we both signed six months ago.

“I came into your life and forced you into it. I forced you to live with me and accept me into your life because I was so blinded by your father's rage that nothing else mattered, but I can't do that to you.

Thomas takes the contract from the folder and, without taking his eyes off me, rips the pages into tiny pieces.

“I don't want no contracts, crystal. I don't want this to be business or revenge. I don't want to marry you because we signed a contract.

Tears stream down my face and I choke back a sob. It's happiness because that's what I wanted most from the beginning, but now… tearing up that contract means being without Thomas, and that's the last thing I want in life.

"And what happens now?" I ask.

He looks at me for long seconds, his eyes locked with mine. Thomas stands and I look up to keep looking at him. He fumbles with something inside his suit pocket and my eyes widen when I see him pulling a small box out.

—Thomas…

He kneels in front of me and opens the box, revealing a ring with a sparkling diamond on top.

— I bought this house because no apartment is the place to raise a family. I want to have a family with you, crystal,” he says. “I… haven't had one in a long time, and you came along and changed everything. You took my whole life from me, girl, and I don't know how to be without you anymore. Those months with you were the best of my life and I want that forever. I want to wake up next to you and go crazy every day because you keep fighting me over stupid things. But I want you to want it all. Not because of a contract, but because you… love me as much as I love you.

I get out of the chair and kneel in front of him. I hold her face and I can barely see anything because my eyes are blurry with tears.

“It's not business Crystal, it's not revenge…” I kiss his mouth and he cups my face too. “It's a love like I've never felt before. Marry me, Cecilia. Stay with me forever.

“Case,” I say through a laugh. 'Of course I will, Thomas.

I love you so much…

He takes my hand and places the ring on my finger. Thomas kisses my hand and pulls me down to kiss my mouth. Without stopping kissing me, he lifts me up and leads us across the room until he bumps into a sofa. I smile as he lays me down on the couch and lays on top of me. His hands roam my body and I squeeze his arms.

- Now you're my real bride - he speaks into my mouth and squeezes my breast under my shirt. — Mine, Cecilia. Only mine, all mine. And I'm all yours.

— Show me — I ask and start undoing the buttons on his shirt. “Show me you're all mine, Thomas.

It starts off slow and sweet, just the way I like it, but today I want more of it. I want Thomas the way he likes to have me, in that raw way of his that makes my legs go weak. He takes my clothes off and kisses my entire body in the process. He touches me everywhere and pulls me closer to him as he fits between my legs.

“You're so hot,” he whispers into my ear. “I'm one lucky son of a bitch, Cecilia.

He starts to move slowly inside me and I feel my face heat up in anticipation, but I say it anyway:

“Harder, Thomas,” I say softly into his ear.

— Cecilia…. Don't ask me that, girl,” he growls.

“Please,” I whimper. “Just the way you like it, Thomas.

He pulls my hair and pushes it faster. I scream his name and he calls mine.

— My favorite thing in the world is to fuck you, Cecilia — he says in the middle of a moan and makes me moan too. “Come for me, crystal.

I come and he takes me a few more times, hard and deep, before he comes too and collapses on top of me. Your breathing is as fast as your heart is, but I couldn't be more at peace than I am right now. In the arms of the man of my life, my future husband and my entire world.
