Chapter 72: Chapter 72
When I got down, I noticed her running towards the hospital. When I paid, she vanished from view. I raced to walk so I could catch up with her. I paused to observe when she stopped for the receptionist since I knew she was already asking for Adonis' room number. I can't keep up with her because she already knows I'm the reason Adonis is the way he is. I knew she'd only let me leave after she saw me because she'd never let me see Adonis again.
When she entered the elevator, I lost faith since I realized I couldn't follow her and didn't know what floor Adonis was on. When the elevator closed fully, I walked back to the receptionist and asked what floor Adonis had admitted to.
"Miss, could you tell me which room Adonis Salander was admitted to?" I'm already playing with my feet. My hands couldn't stop shaking. Fortunately, I haven't removed the jacket Adonis gave me, so my coldness has been diminished.
"Could you tell me about your connection with Mr. Salander?" The woman examines the paper before turning to face me. Why did Wendy obtain his room number so quickly, and why do I have to ask? I was curious about Adonis' condition and was perplexed as to why they refused to tell me.
"I am his girlfriend; could you please expedite the search?" I was going to ask the woman when she closed the paper she was reading before and looked at me with a regretful smile. I'd like her to tell me what's wrong so I can leave and ascend.
"Ma'am, please accept my apologies, but someone came here and identified themselves as fiancée, therefore you will not be offered a space for a visit. You are welcome to return tomorrow to compile a list of visits." The woman pulled out a pen and a piece of paper. "Could you please tell me your name?"
"Luna." I felt like I was floating when I told him that. I don't know what last name I will give so I just said the name. I stared into space and just waited with a falling rock to tell me that everything was fine but no matter what waiting I do and did, nothing happened until I heard the woman speak again.
“Miss Luna, this time, I'm really sorry that I can't let you in even tomorrow because the patient's guard complained that you shouldn't be let in. The complaint is already being processed, if you want you can amend the complaint immediately.
I sat down on the floor right away since I felt like they had agreed on what I didn't know. They didn't warn me that they were going to envision me. It's as if I just want to crouch and cry because I'm not sure what I'm going to do to get out of here and to Adonis. When the woman noticed that I was faint on the floor, she sprang out of her seat and hurried towards me. I was even more startled when two male nurses approached me to assist. Then again, I'm still in the hospital; perhaps I should visit a doctor so that Adonis doesn't worry about me when he returns.
"I'd want to see the doctor, where can I go?" My voice was almost hoarse as I spoke, and I raised my voice, scraping my throat just so they could hear me. I'd want to say they'd send me to the doctor because if I hadn't seen Adonis, my head would have exploded.
"Okay, ma'am can you wait ten minutes and we'll take you to him. Can you walk? Otherwise we will get you a wheelchair.” That was a tall man. The woman, on the other hand, has returned to her place so only us are left. I just nodded and I don’t know what they understood when I nodded because they shot me in a wheelchair. If it was still a normal day today, I would probably just laugh at what they did. But I no longer have the strength to make even the weakest laugh. When they took me to a room, two nurses were still watching over me. Slowly, thinking because they thought I would run away to find Adonis.
"Don't worry, I'm not planning on fleeing, so go to the doctor." I was hanging on to both armrests of the wheelchair, losing strength in the midst of everything that was going on. I'd want to close my eyes and hope that when I wake up, everything will be alright.
One man left, but the other remained behind. I believe the physicians are too preoccupied right now to pay attention to me. I didn't know I'd fallen asleep while I laid there.
I awoke when someone touched my face, and when I saw who it was, my eyes practically burst open in tears. He was wearing a bandage on his head, which was stained with blood. He was simply caressing my face, so I took his hand in mine and kissed him, praying he would never let me go again. He gave me a sweet smile, as if he didn't want to hurt me with each touch. I wanted to hug him but couldn't because I couldn't move. My eyes widened as he turned away from me and took his hand from mine. I reach out a hand, but I can't stand; my body appears to be stuck to my seat.
I stumbled in my haste to get up, and when I opened my eyes again, I saw a white ceiling, white walls, and a bright white light. When I turned to search for the person I was expecting, all I saw was the sitting doctor, since I was now laying in the hospital bed. I'd want some water.
"You're wide awake. We'll begin the exam once you've had a chance to relax. If you wish to eat or do something, please let me know so that I can call the nurses. ”
"Anyway, don't stress too much since, from what I can tell, you already have pregnancy symptoms, but it's still preferable if you have an examination test."
