Chapter 168: Chapter 168

Third Person's POV

“Please, Wendy. Do not open this topic. Let's not revive the hope that Adonis is still alive. Let's let Luna move on.”

Because of what happened at the airport, Wendy could no longer call Luna. They had to get inside the plane. She had completely lost sight of what she suspected of Adonis. No matter how much she thought, she knew in herself that it was Adonis she had seen and she could not be wrong.

They get to Turkey but Wendy still doesn't talk to Wayne because she's irritated because Wayne seems to wants to tell her that she's going crazy.

No matter what Wayne stopped her, it wouldn’t stop her from telling Luna what she saw. She knew Luna would believe her.

As soon as the car entered Adonis' mansion, they saw a lot of press and media. Wendy was immediately surprised but Wayne was no longer surprised. His father told him about it, so he severely restrained Wendy from telling Luna what she had seen.

He was in between whether he would still believe or not. He wants to believe his wife because what she is saying may be true because Adonis' body is missing and no one can still see it. It is also possible that his wife is just stressed, so this may be the reason she said about Adonis.

Either way, he still didn't want to say any of that. It's better not to let Luna expect because the more stuck she is, the harder she will be.

Wendy promptly marched inside. She saw everyone sitting while the picture of Adonis surrounded by flowers stood. Her eyes instantly searched for her friend Luna.

Even though it was hard and she was tired because of the trip, she went straight here. She grabbed Luna by the hand and dragged her away from the place.

Luna just nodded at her even though she didn't know why Wendy had taken her to the back of the garden. She also didn't expect Wendy and Wayne's trip to be even earlier.

"Luna, you need to know something!"

Luna frowned because she didn't expect the truth about the crash of Adonis' plane to be any heavier. She didn't say a word and just let Wendy say what she wanted.

Wendy looked behind her to see if her husband had followed her because Wayne didn't want to tell her about what she had seen.

“Luna! I saw Adonis! Wayne says I'm just stress b-but ...! ” Wendy can't explain how she can convince Luna to believe her. She wouldn't be able to mention the thing she knew she wasn't sure about.

“What? Where ?!” Luna hastily touched Wendy's shoulder. Wendy's body was ready to shake but she remembered that Wendy was pregnant.

Wendy expected to have a hard time convincing Luna, but she turns out to be wrong. It seems that even in the slightest thing, Luna wants to hold on to the smallest thing about Adonis.

“At the airport. My two eyes were clearly visible. I saw him with a woman but there seems to be something wrong with Adonis ... ”

Wendy wondered what was wrong with Adonis from what she had seen earlier. There are many differences but there is no denying its back to be a way for her to recognize it.

"What?" Luna asked her eagerly.

“His clothes. His skin. His expression. That’s all.”

"What do you mean?" Luna was even more confused. There is also a gap in her heart and it seems like there is air passing through there. She was afraid of the little chance she was holding. It may not be what she thought it was.

“She was wearing something different. It was not formal, his color was pale. His expression .... Very different from Adonis. There is nothing there. When you see his face, you will think he is just a robot.”

Wendy stared into the air as she looked back at what she had seen.

What Wendy was saying became even more puzzling to Luna. Something was haunting her brain as if to say she should believe Wayne. It may be true that Wendy is really stressed because of her pregnancy.

Luna wants to give up. She could think of no other way to find Adonis. Every night, she dreams of Adonis' body going with the flow of water and waves.

She is no longer getting enough sleep. She also notices her successive weight loss. She wanders into space with no destination.

"If I see the woman's back, I'm sure I'll recognize her." Wendy's fighting sprit stuttered.

Luna just smiled at her and nodded sadly. Why is she losing hope? She promised herself that she would not despair, what more could she want?

They have returned to where many people are still. Many attended their funeral. Everyone is grieving, others just want to gossip.

Luna waited for Hernan to arrive. She also always looks at the door because she might be surprised and suddenly see Cole or maybe Luke.

Raymond and Mark were guarding the gate, they also called someone with them because Luna was afraid that Cole and Luke would get through.

Athen doesn't leave the room and so does Leilani. It's better to be there first so that they can be safe. They don't know who their opponents are who will attack them. Luna wants to do everything she can to keep everyone safe.

The ceremony soon ended. It was all out and there was no one left except Estella, Wendy and Wayne. Raymond and Mark remained vigilant even though Luna told them they were able to enter. The next thing they will do tomorrow is the burial.

Luna was disappointed because Adonis' uncle didn't even come, which she had prepared so much.

Given the fact it wasn’t Luna’s fault what happened, she still blames herself.

Everyone went back to their rooms. But Luna didn't know that when she closed her eyes, a knife would threatened her.
