Chapter 119: Chapter 119
Adonis POV
“Adonis this is your child!”
Because of what Jessica had said, I was unable to move. It felt as if all of my blood had been drained from my body and a bucket of ice had been thrown over my head and shoulders.
I couldn't speak because of what she asserted. Because whatever happened to us lasted just a day, it's impossible that the child is mine. Luna and I are just just getting to know one other again, and that can't be stopped anymore. I can't face the thought of her disappearing from my life.
Oh God. What is the reason behind this now?
"How are you sure?" I attempted to scare her to admit that the child was not mine, but I think it would not be effective since she began to sob and pulled out documents from her pocket. I chose to pretend that she's just acting because she has love for me and is now doing all she can to win my affections and win me over.
Nevertheless, no matter what she does, I can't shake the feeling that it's all exclusive for Luna.
"If you're looking for proof, here's the answer." She showed me the ultrasound image as well as the other piece of paper. None of that papers indicates whether or not the kid is in fact mine, but the dates are one of the conceivable grounds for suspicion.
What is written on the paper is two months old, and if my calculation is accurate, it is only reasonable that the baby will be formed as a result of what occurred between us. I made a mess of my hair. I would have been much more cautious if I had known Luna was about to return at the time. Once Luna finds out about this, I'm sure Athen and her will move away from me again and that might be the reason why she won't come back to me ever again.
"Abort it." I just told her what I had to say.
"ADONIS, HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO SAY ALL THAT?" She came towards me with a yell.
I may lose everything, but Luna and Athen are not among them.
I don't give a damn about anybody I run into. I'd be willing to hold a knife for the person I care about. That's what Luna is having trouble with, and I'm sure Jessica is struggling with it as well.
I can put up with her if Luna doesn't come back into my life, but now that Luna is back, I have no need to hunt for another toy to bring along with me anymore. I've stopped using Jessica since the day Cole bowed his head to me, and her existence, particularly the baby in her womb, is no longer significant to me.
"I don't care if it's my child or not, you should abort it if the replacement is my name." I said heartlessly to Jessica. Her mouth was open, and I could see the surprise in her eyes. In addition, even if she does not abort the kid, I will find a method to prove that the child is not mine since I will know whether the child is indeed mine.
"How could you say anything like that?" Her voice was beginning to fade.
I turned around to go back to where Luna was because I didn't want her to catch me talking to Jessica. However, I believe it is too late for that...
Just as I approached where I was going I saw her standing, with an unbelievable expression. Because her look is so ambiguous, I'm not sure what she's thinking. I could not move. She looked at me with a disgusting expression. I wanted to say something, but there was a stone stuck in my throat, and I couldn't say anything even if I wanted to. I had lost my ability to speak.
"LUNA!"
Because she was moving quickly, I had to move faster and keep up with her. I was at a loss for what to say to her. I'm not sure what the appropriate term is. If she heard everything I said, I knew it would be vague for her to forgive me.
This is a fucking disaster of a life.
"Luna!" I called her again, but she didn't respond and continued running. I observed that she was bumping with other people. I was taking a deep breath when I saw her walking away with Athen.
I stood there and watched my daughter's surprised look, but she didn't say anything. She even waved to others who were with her. When I saw that she was still going in the cabin, I felt a sense of relief. And at the very least, I knew she wasn't going to go immediately away. I still have time to put and lock her. If I had to keep her locked up, I would make absolutely sure she didn't get away from me.
"Daddy!" Athens has already had a chance to see me. She extended her hand, and my innocent girl was blissfully oblivious that there was a battle going on between me and her mother.
They proceeded inside the house, and I was powerless to do anything except stand still. I don't want to put any kind of strain on her shoulders. I want to give her some space because I'm frightened that if I squeeze myself any tighter, she'll run away from me for good and leave me all alone.
I'll sit quietly in the sand and keep an eye on the cabin to make sure she doesn't leave. I flung myself on the sand and refused to leave, despite the fact that it was really hot. I couldn't figure out what to think anymore. Because of all that had transpired, I felt like my brain was about to burst.
After an hour had gone, they were still not coming out of the cabin, so I was the one who tried to break into the place. When I attempted to turn the doorknob, it became stuck.
"Luna ..." I called her softly.
I waited a few minutes and was relieved when the door opened but two pillows and a blanket were thrown at me.
"Sleep outside!"
