Chapter 116: Chapter 116

"We will not proceed with the shoot at this time because the rain that fell last night ruined the designs.  No mention of a typhoon was made in the newscast." The woman and the man, I believe and assume were in charge of all of the styling for the photo shoot, were both scratched on their heads. The design isn't overbearing; it's just perfect to be aesthetically pleasing while looking at the model, but because of its beauty, it's evident how difficult the design was to create.

Athen was carried by Adonis in his arms while chatting to someone.

They also didn't seem to be aware of my presence behind them, as all they know was that I was in the kitchen preparing meals. Since Athen referred to Adonis as "daddy," they have been unable to be separated as a duo.

Also, after something happened to us in the cave, I haven't even seen Luke in person. Even though there is no something going on between the two of us, I want to avoid him if I ever come across him. Adonis didn’t like him so I must do it to avoid a quarrel. Jessica was never seen or heard from again, and I'm not sure how Adonis was able to convince her to go. It's still unclear to me what kind of relationship they have with each other, though. But I was confident that he would tell me as soon — all I had to do was wait for him to open it for me.

When the two individuals departed, I went inside before Adonis and Athen. In addition, I have prepared breakfast. Because Adonis has placed a refrigerator in this place, cooking food became easy. I learned cooking when I worked in fast food. People no longer have to worry about running out of power because the windmill already provides them with electricity. As they make their way into the kitchen, I can hear Athen laughing. They went inside and heard them conversing.

"Can you tell me why you want to catch fish?" That's Adonis, by the way. After a while, the voice came louder and closer until I could see them both.

"My mother is constantly busy in the United States, therefore I have never had the opportunity to go swimming in the sea. My uncle Wayne and aunty Wendy did not even bother to accompany me to the beach —- "

"Athens, don't you think you're hungry?" Because of what my child had said, my heart was racing wildly in my chest. I don't want to involve Wendy and Wayne any longer since I know they already have their own lives and I'm aware of the conflict between him and his cousins that they're dealing with.

“Wayne? Wendy?" Adonis wondered aloud, which caused me to close my eyes and bite my lower lip. Why didn't I warn Athen that she shouldn't bring up the subject of her aunt and uncle? It has the potential to spark a fight.

When I glanced at Adonis, I feigned that I was confused as well, and that I couldn't comprehend what Athen was saying. "Look at how fresh this fish is. It was given to us by a fisherman quite early in the morning." I try to shift the topic, but it seems that Adonis isn't ready to let go of what Athen had said.

"Can you tell me how she met Wendy and Wayne?" He was looking at me, as if he had some kind of understanding of what was going on. "Don't tell me you went with them on their overseas migration?" He made Athen sit in the chair next to him, all the while keeping his stare fixed on me. I'm not sure what else I'm going to do to him at this point.

"Y-yeah." I stutter to admit. Who would be delighted if the person they genuinely love suddenly disappeared without saying goodbye, and you only discovered years later that, despite your efforts to track her down in every corner of the world, she is actually staying with your cousin? Even I can't stop myself from thinking if that happens to Adonis, my blood is boiling.

"How come Wayne didn't tell me?" I could hear the frost in his voice, but I could tell he was trying to keep it from coming through since Athen was right next to him. He directs his eyes squarely at me, and I make an effort not to stare at him. The moment I turned around to go get water, I was alert to an arm wrapped around my waist and hot breath behind my ear. "Why aren't you telling me?"

“Nghh…”

His hand slid to the apron I was wearing, and he reached inside my shorts and inserted his hand. He rubbed his fingers along the cut of my sensitive part, causing me to gasp uncontrollably. It was at this point that I turned to Athen, who was now eating the fish I had placed on the table, and I was concerned that she would understand my position in this manner, so I answered Adonis' question directly.

"I'm not sure why I left..." I tried to cover my mouth with my palm, but one of his hands had already reached inside my bra and pierced my nipple. "W-we attempted to contact you, but a lady answered the phone, and I believe she is your girlfriend, based on the information she provided."

When he stepped away from me and lifted his hand from my chest, it felt like a thorn was pulling at my heart. I pretended to cough while adjusting my clothing. The fact that he couldn't see my glare was because he was thinking far away and was ready to get drowned in what he was thinking.

"Girlfriend...," he murmured.

He muttered something in the air, as if he were curious about who the woman I was referring to was. I also have no idea who it is, all know it was the person that introduced herself to me. I walked over to the table and left him to his thoughts. When Athen glanced at me and smiled, I did exactly what she did. Not long after, Adonis stepped towards us, and it appeared as though he was about to contradict what I had said. It's been so long since the event that I even have difficulty recalling it. We eat quietly, which is unusual for our table, which is usually quite loud.

"Let's take a trip to the other island and have a picnic." I asked them. Athen raised her eyes to mine with a big grin, while Adonis maintained an incomprehensible expression. "I'll cook for you and arrange your clothing so that we may take a swim in that island."

As Adonis scowled, Athen clapped her hands together. I couldn't keep a smile off my face and burst out laughing.
