Chapter 100: Chapter 100

My expectation was that we would return to his prior mansion, but I was proven incorrect when we arrived since it was completely different from before. His previous home is surrounded by quietness, but his new home is unique and calm also, but my opinion of it has altered as a result of the assortment of flowers in the yard. The home is serene, yet the variety of styles will keep your eyes happy for a while. There is a garden, and I can see a playground in the distance. Alternatively, there is a swing in the opposite corner of the garden that is made entirely of wheels and ropes. Despite the fact that the old home of Adonis was vast and equipped with a fountain, the garden could only be accessed by the eye and not the hand. The loud laughter was the only thing that lifted my spirits, and as I turned around to see who it was, I spotted Athen sprinting towards the playground.

"Do you think it's good?" When he asked the question, I couldn't move. This is his home, and I have no right to criticize, nor does anybody else who does not want such a gorgeous residence. Despite the beauty of the palace, who would not appreciate it?

I didn't say anything and simply gazed at him. I'm still not in a good mood since he dragged us here on such short notice. I spent a lot of money on items for my home, so it's a shame they won't be put to use. However, I will not cancel my purchase; instead, I will phone the mall later to inform them that the delivery has been canceled.  I had just crossed Adonis and was walking in the direction of Athens. It was late, and she needed to eat something. Because I had forgotten to take Athen's vitamins with us, my head was only becoming hotter. She does not have any illness; all I want is for her to be healthy.

"Are you sure you don't want to go home yet?" I was already near to my kid as she went down the slide on the playground. I just sat back and smiled at what she was doing. To be quite honest, I wasn't at her side throughout our time in the United States. Due to my excessive workload, I was completely oblivious to what she needed or what made her happy. Consequently, I was upset with Adonis since he was not there when I gave birth to Athen.  Despite the fact I was present throughout her developmental years. I didn't even pay attention to her while she was making friends or growing up.

"Why?" Athen had just finished sliding down the slide when her face became sad. For instance, I had no idea what I was going to do next since Wendy and Wayne were the only ones who had seen her grow up at the time. I'm at a loss for how I'm going to tell her it's already night in a manner that won't offend her.

That I didn't even give her the opportunity to be with me before, it makes me hate it now more than before. I didn't talk when someone talked behind me.

"Do you need to go back to your place at this point or leave something behind? I'll take care of it." As he cautiously raised Athen off the slide, his voice was deep and hushed. I kept my gaze fixed on them as they both looked at me. Athen wrapped her arms around her father's neck, feeling safe and secure. When his father's mouth opens, I'm not sure how to tell them that I'm angered. Is he no longer able to think clearly since his head has a bump to something? Who wouldn't want to return home if they were hauled away from their home without a word?

"Just bring us back to my place."

"I'm sorry, but I'm unwilling to assist you. Call me a thug, but you are not permitted to leave this home without my permission." He was enraged and fought me. Athen was keeping an eye on how angry we were, so I was the first to call it quits. I don't want her to get used to what she is seeing. I just turned around and returned to the spot where we had been standing before since it was the entrance he used to enter the home. After that, they basically followed me around until I was right in front of a closed door. I gave him a way to open it.

"We'll just be here for a week, at most.  You have no option. We will leave whether you want or don't want to." I informed him in a firm voice and was already in front of him when the door opened. As soon as I walked through the door, I was surrounded by a plethora of antiques. The inside has an old-fashioned feel about it. It merely needs a large number of family people to declare a place a comfortable house. The only thing I did was wander my eyes till I lost track of time and realized I was already heading up the stairs. Even his railing is a rich shade of hazelnut.

"The room is located on the second floor. Everything you'll need is set up and ready. If you want anything, there is an intercom upstairs via which you may contact me. There is also a tiny refrigerator in the bedroom in case you feel hungry. But before you go upstairs, I'll prepare something for you to eat."  He went on for a long time as I only stared at him. He made his way into the kitchen still carrying Athen. I trailed after them and also entered.

After he had put Athen in the chair, he took his apron and walked to the stove. I sat  next to Athen. He chatted to us as we were waiting for him to finish cooking.

"If you decide to return home, I'll accompany you to ensure that you don't really flee."

"Do you not have work?"  I questioned him in a chilly tone.

"Since then, I've always been free when you need me."

My heart rate increased as a result of what he stated.
