Chapter 53: Chapter 53

Third Person’s POV

The first day of the field trip.

When Agatha hopped onto the bus, her groupmates were already there. She was the last one to arrive in fact. Agatha looked around the bus to see who came and who did not. Unfortunately, her ex-fiance was present.

‘He’s really annoying,’ Agatha thought, rolling her eyes until she saw Sebastian at the end of her gaze.

“Here! Agatha! I reserved you a seat!” Sebastian said while waving his hand. Right now, he looks like an excited kid who is looking forward to the trip.

His appearance was a breath of fresh air for Agatha. She’s so glad Sebastian attends the same Review School.

Carrying her backpack, Agatha sat next to Sebastian.

“Do you want to sit next to the window?” Sebastian offered as he knew that Agatha has trouble riding on a bus.

“You sure?” Agatha asked.

“Sure. I’m fine. Let’s exchange seats.”

“Thanks.”

She sat next to the window and looked at Sebastian’s backpack.

“Dude, what did you bring? Are you finally thinking of running away from home?”

With a chuckle, Sebastian answered, “I wish I can. I brought a lot of stuff. Neck pillow, because you tend to sleep while traveling. Snacks for your body with a high metabolism. Motion sickness medicine, so you won’t puke at me. And, an extra blanket. You easily get cold at night.

Agatha felt so touched. “Wow. It seemed you brought that while thinking of me.”

Sebastian hid his bewilderment by laughing awkwardly. “W-Well, we traveled a lot before.”

“Thanks, dude. Riding a bus is really difficult for me. Why do we need to ride one when we can, you know, use our own vehicle,” Agatha complained.

“But you don’t have a car right now.”

“I don’t have it because I am a broke pal. But I have a rich friend like you. We can travel alone together, isn’t that possible?”

Traveling alone with Agatha, Sebastian loves the idea.

‘But if we are alone, it will be hard to endure,’ Sebastian thought, thankful that they were inside the bus with many people, or else he might have kissed her already.

“That’s possible,” he said, nodding his head. “I think they asked us to ride a bus so we won’t think of running away during the field trip. You see, if we have our own car, we can ditch everyone whenever we like.”

Agatha put the puzzle together. Sebastian was right, she agreed. If this is Lawrence’s way to keep her in the trip, then renting a bus is a brilliant idea, which she wouldn’t feel thankful at all.

“You know what, I like that you are pretty smart in situations like this,” Agatha complained Sebastian.

Sebastian just shrugged his shoulder as if he couldn’t help it. He was born quick-witted.

As the bus started to move, Agatha felt nauseous, her empty stomach was churning upside down.

“Oh my god,” she grunted before looking at Sebastian. “I am going to sleep. Wake me up if we arrive.”

“Aye aye, Captain,” Sebastian said.

Agatha leaned closer to Sebastian and placed her head on his shoulder. Once she did, Sebastian felt his heart pounding. Slowly, he looked at his best friend, who was completely off-guard against her.

‘At times like this, I really like it when you are too dense to notice what I feel,’ Sebastian said to himself, looking outside the window and watching the clouds floating on the blue horizon.

Just like the clouds, he felt like floating in happiness. On second thought, he knew someone behind him would not possibly like seeing Agatha leaning her head on his shoulder.

Nonetheless, Sebastian has no plan to stop.

‘That is your punishment for letting her go, Mikhail,’ Sebastian thought as he felt Mikhail’s stare from behind.

At that exact moment, Mikhail was sitting at the back of the bus. He felt so jealous seeing the two together. Having no right to meddle made matters worse.

He felt greedy. Mikhail thought he could let go of Agatha even if he still loves her so much. But today, he really wishes he was Sebastian. If being her best friend will keep him close to her, Mikhail likes to be her friend. Wishes aren’t meant to be granted though.

Mikhail’s eyes didn’t leave Agatha. Because of that, he didn’t notice that there was someone who was secretly taking pictures of Agatha.

The group went to visit a historical museum. Sebastian and Agatha came in pair. Meanwhile, Mikhail was all alone.

“Mikhail, do you want to come with me?” a lady showing interest to the handsome Mikhail, asked.

“No. I’m fine alone.”

“Don’t be a loner. Just come.”

“I said I don’t want.”

This was the fifth time he coldly declines anyone who wants to accompany Mikhail. It was because he has no interest in any woman out there, and he feels better alone.

“Fine, dude. You don’t need to be that rude. Geez.”

And she left him. Alone again, Mikhail walked around the museum. There was only one reason why he came. It wasn’t for the recommendation letter, but rather, he came because Agatha came.

Walking from afar, Mikhail looked at Agatha and Sebastian.

Agatha’s beauty was an attention-seeker. Her long black hair was tied up, and she looks cute with her white V-neck shirt and a jeans skirt. Though she’s not wearing thick makeup, her ivory skin shines under the sun.

People around followed her with their gazes. There was no doubt why Agatha became so popular in high school and even in University.

Click.

The faint sound of the camera’s snapshot caught Mikhail’s attention. He looked around to find where it came from. Then from a good distance, he saw a guy who was secretly taking pictures of Agatha.

Mikhail calmly seeped into the crowd. Then he stood straight in front of the suspicious stalker.

“Hi,” Mikhail greeted.

The guy quickly hid his phone behind his back.

"W-Why?" the guy stuttered, “W-What do you want?”

"Can I borrow your phone?" Mikhail stretched his hand, still smiling at him.

"S-Sorry. But I can't," he disagreed then gulped his own words.

"Hmmmm." Mikhail hummed. He nodded his head before he leaned closer and mumbled, "There are two reasons why a guy won't let someone borrow his phone. First, he's watching porn.”

The smile on his lips subsided into an evil sneer.

"Second, you're taking a picture of someone without her consent.”

Mikhail’s hand landed on his collar.

"You should confess while I'm still calm. Don't you think so?"

The poor prey nodded his head. "I w-w-will."

"Good. So, why are you taking pictures of Agatha?"

"A-Actually, when I was on my way to the review center, some rich guy offered me a huge amount of money in exchange for her picture. All I need is to update that man whenever she goes."

A man is stalking her?! Mikhail couldn't help but feel anxious.

"What's the man's name?" he asked.

"..."

"ANSWER ME! WHO IS HE?!"
