Galene was dumbstruck, she would never in a thousand years doubt Mariam's friendship.

If at all she was supposed to doubt someone among the three of them, I would have been luciana because she has always acted distance and talks as though she doesn't like like.

Maria was the least person she would ever believe would plan to harm her.

Tears streamed down her eyes. She never knew those they call friends were the ones stabbing their backs.

"How could they shoot her husband with a deadly arrow and take over the clan by manipulating the council leader," Galene thought, whimpering.

"How could people be so pretentious that you would never in a million year Know they are plotting against you" Galene muttered aloud.

Mariam laughed out loud, shaking her head in a mocking pity, "you should never trust anyone not even yourself because you might end up betraying your self" Mariam said still laughing loudly.

Galene continued whimpering, her heart bleeding as she shiver. The pain too much for her to take in.

She doesn't want to believe this nightmare, yes nightmare should would soon wake up from. There's no way her Mariam would do such thing to her and also Robin.

This must be a useless dream she would wake up to.

"Enough with your useless tears, I didn't come here to watch you cry or look your face" Mariam yelled and Galene shooked getting back to her senses after feeling the pain of her pinch.

It wasn't a dream afterall. It was really happening, Mariam was really before her and everything she had said was the truth.

"Grab her" Mariam ordered the guards who in turn rushed to Galene grabbing her arms.

You are going to wash my expensive clothes and if any of them gets damaged, I would make sure you get damaged" Mariam said and walked out of the room with the guards dragging Galene along with them.

Immediately the door shut, Diana sprang up from the floor and glared hard at Luciana.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" Luciana asked staring back at Diana.

"First, it was Lydia and now Mariam and both pretended to be her friends.

"How am I sure you are not also among and also harboring your hatred in form of love for my friend?" Diana glared.

"And why would I do such a thing?" It's not like I have a thing for Master Damien anyways" Luciana fired back.

"No one knew Mariam had a thing for Master Damien till now so how do you expect me to believe such an excuse of yours.

"Well no one knew about both girls having things for master Damien but I do.

"I could see it in their eyes but I had no evidence whatsoever to use against them.

I knew they liked Master Damien, I mean most of the sex slaves do especially after having your body, you have no choice but want him but I never knew Mariam's was deeply rooted to the extent of her planning with Robin to pull him down just because she couldn't have him" Luciana stated with a sigh.

She had always seen either Mariam or Lydia staring at Master Damien whenever he passes and the jealousy in their eyes especially Maria's whenever Galene talks about her husband. she had always seen the hidden desires in them just that Lydia's was open and Mariam did wonders hiding hers.

"I do not know, all I just want to tell you now is if you dare have anything against my Friend, better say it now because If I find out later, I might kill you" Diana threatened, her eyes dancing all over Luciana.

She doesn't trust anyone with Galene not after what just happened. Who knows Luciana might come one day to say she also hated Galene and the kindness was all pretense but she doubts that.

Luciana carries a clean aura around her and even she could feel it. Galene has told her Luciana never hides things and does not paint things when saying them so she doubts if she too would betray Galene but she still needs to be careful.

"I do not have anything against Galene and I do not plan to have one. She has done nothing to me and I do not see a reason I should hurt her so if you would excuse me, I would like to get what I want to get and leave" Luciana said and walked away from Diana.

*Look I am sorry but what do you have me do? I am protecting my friend and Mariam shocked me. You know she's very sweet and calm but I never knew she was a green snake hiding behind a green grass" Diana said apologizing.

"Well I'm not Mariam and I'm as shocked as you were because I never knew she could go to such extent into getting what she wants.

"The best thing we should do now supports our Friend as she would be getting tons of punishment and pains from Robin and his wife" Luciana stated with a sigh.

I just hope Master Damien is getting treatment and would be up soon to correct all this nonsense.

"If you ask me, I would say he isn't getting any treatment. They might be giving him the wrong treatment in delay his healing for even worsen it so he could die for the Clan to be theirs forever" Luciana said and Diana nodded seeing a point in what she said.

"But what do we do to help him," Diana asked, concern written all over her face.

"I would think out something and tell you as soon as I have a solution," Luciana said, picked up what we came for, and turned around walking out of the room.

Diana also followed behind her. She needs to know where Mariam took Galene to and what she was doing to her friend.

At the back of the castle where the laundry room is located, Galene sat washing the heaps of cloth given to her by Mariam.

A whole lot of clothes if not of that of everyone in the castle. Including the guards uniform were all brought for her to wash.

She sniffed as she changed the water for the hundredth time. Her knuckles were already getting bruised from the excessive washing and yet she wasn't halfway yet.

She went to the well near the laundry room to fetch water to rinse the ones she had washed so far.

The distance from the well to the laundry was short but she had gone there countless times to fetch water that her legs now aches.

"Mariam" she muttered as she broke out in a fresh sob.

She recalled how Mariam use to console and comfort her when she was being maltreated by Master Damien.

Mariam was the happiest when she broke the news of master Damien's proposal. She was the one who took her to the market and around various expensive shops to buy her marriage jewelry and clothes.

Mariam was the closest friend she had in the castle before her best friend Diana came yet she still treated all of them equally.

She made sure they do not do any hard work and had a lot of time to themselves.

She also made sure their family members were released and they visit home whenever they want.

Ever since her marriage to master Damien, things changed drastically and they no longer have forced servants.

Every member of the clan that lost their family members by Master Damien's sword was heavily rewarded.

"What bad has she done to Mariam that she had to pay her back in wickedness" Galene muttered whimpering.

"Hey, what are you doing there?" The guard assigned to monitor her yelled and Galene immediately picked up the bucket of water and walked back to the laundry room.

"You better finish this quick, else there won't be any food for you" the guard warned and Galene nodded, wiped her face with the hem of her dress, and continued washing.

Inside Master Damien's formal room which has been claimed and occupied by Robin and Mariam, Mariam lay on the bed naked her legs spread apart waiting for Robin to make his entrance.

Robin who was removing his clothes removed the last piece of clothing on him trashing it on the floor then walked towards the bed.

His hands massaged Mariam's legs, running his hands up and down her skin.

"What did she do to you" Luciana screamed on sighting Galene's knuckles.

Galene sighed and took a long breath then gently laid on the bed.

She was so tired to talk but she managed to whisper.

"She made me wash a lot of clothes including Robin's and the guards" Galene whispered tiredly and shut her eyes in sleep.

"What? She did what? That devil" Diana yelled but got shushed by Luciana.

"Let her sleep Diana" Luciana muttered and Diana glanced at the already asleep Galene.

She sighed and stood up to get a balm. She applied the balm on Galene's bruised hands and covered her well to sleep.
