Chapter 572: Chapter 572

The sect master of Heavenly Sword Sect, Wan Yuyi, suddenly lost his temper and spread his aura to pressure the disciples of the Three Swords Peak from moving. This sudden action from such a powerful cultivator instantly caused the whole area to fall in silence. The suffocating presence was enough to hinder all students while the elders busied themselves into the activation of Isolation Barrier which would enclosed the whole peak temporarily.

Peak Master Guan was already injured and being struck by the sect master’s overwhelming aura she can only puke blood and feel the weakness of her body.

"N-No! Please... we need to... save... save my disciple, Bing’er. Don’t... do this... Sect master!" Guan Yueyi, pleaded by the Sect Master, had already hardened his heart when making this decision.

Sadly, no one else knew why he made such an action. After all, aside from him no one knows about the situation of their sect. Just as he was about to leave to check on his disciple which he had punished to be imprisoned at the back mountain, he suddenly heard a commotion from behind him.

"Hey! What are you doing?"

"Mei’er!? NO! Stop it! Calm down!" Guan Yueyi shouted.

Sect Master Wan Yuyi saw one disciple burning her life essence just to accumulate greater power. He was caught off guard when a phoenix came out from the young lady attacking him. This is the power of bloodline.

"Sect Master, be careful!" The sect elder shouted.

However, it was too late and the sect master failed to dodge it. He sustained the attack directly and was wounded badly. He wanted to get angry but when he saw the blood tears strolling down on that young lady’s face while glaring at him before she fainted, his feelings wavered for a moment. The coercion he had used on them had been released.

Peak Master Guan and the disciples of the Three Swords Peak scrambled to catch the falling Meiren who was covered with her own blood. No one expected this disciple to react this way.

"What’s wrong with this disciple? Did she just sacrifice herself?" Sect master Wan Yuyi questioned others in disbelief. "Guan Yueyi, is this how you teach you disciples?!"

"N-No... I... I... Mei’er... Mei’er!"

"Speak what is wrong with that child!?" Sect Master Wan Yuyi asked.

Peak Master Guan retorted, "You’re preventing her from saving her dao companion! How do you think she is supposed to react!?"

She finally chose to ignore the sect master and elders and hurriedly brought the conscious Meiren back to heal. No one knows how her current situation is. But this event was enough to make even the Sect Master dumbfounded.

Sect Master Wan Yuyi watches the people on the Three Swords peak running to check about the sacrificed disciples. But they didn’t forget to give them a hideous look as if they themselves felt betrayed by their Sect Master. It was at this moment that the Sect Master felt he had done something wrong.

"Tan Bingyu’s Dao Companion?! No wonder. No wonder she is willing to sacrifice herself just to attack me. I who was asking her to sacrifice her own dao companion is nothing but an enemy in her eyes."

Sect Master Wan Yuyi whispered, "But... am I truly wrong to do this to protect the sect?"

The elders didn’t hear the whisper of the sect master but they can see a great change in his mood. They reluctantly asked if they were still going to enclose the peak as planned before.

"Sect Master, are we still going to activate the array?" the elder asked.

The Sect Master responded, "Yes... But...removed it after three days. Don’t prevent them from leaving the sect afterwards. Three days should be enough for the main event in the north to happen."

However, three days later, after Peak Master Guan and some disciples had headed north to check the news about Hidden Tan Sect’s exile finally reached their ears. It was at this time that Meiren had fallen in deep slumber emitting cold frost in her sleep that she was placed underground to be sealed.

For that last attack, Meiren had used up most of his soul and fallen into a coma. She had started feeling that her soul is slowly fading. She wanted to tell her master to give up on her, but she couldn’t even move her body. She waited in that darkness for years until the day Tan Bingyu had returned.

That was also the day his soul completely faded and returned to his original body waking up in his male body as Xue Renxue.

Baimei, the snow leopard spirit beast, didn’t expect Xue Renxue to have such an adventure. Moreover, the fact that he had lived as a female for years was hilarious. By the time, Xue Renxue finished picking his book and returned to the table where his dao companion, Tan Bingyu and spirit beast, Baimei. He noticed the two of them staring at him.

Xue Renxue felt nervous unconsciously, "W-What’s wrong?"

{Ren, did you truly live as a female for a few years? How did it feel?} Baimei asked.

Upon hearing this question, Xue Renxue realized that they must have talked about his past as Guan Meiren. He never rejected the fact that he had lived as a woman before. After all, it was this opportunity that allowed him to meet his beloved.

Xue Renxue said, "Nothing much is different. Except that... It feels heavy on the chest part and I feel very light and soft all over."

"Well... The feeling of losing my third brother and being called pretty is devastating," said Xue Renxue.

The one who laughed was Tan Bingyu. The one who named Xue Renxue in his female form as Meiren was her. Thinking about it now, she can somehow guess what kind of thought Xue Renxue had when she gave her that name. No wonder her face turned blank for a moment at that time.

Tan Bingyu held back her smile and said, "Alright enough playing. Have you found a book suitable for us?"

"I found one. I don’t know if this is cursed or a blessed book though." Xue Renxue placed a book on the table with an Ice phoenix cover.

Tan Bingyu and Baimei read the title of the book.

"The Awakening of the Ice Phoenix God King?"

"Sounds powerful, right? How powerful is a God King again? Stronger than Huashen Realm?" Xue Renxue asked.

Baimei answered, {It’s the realm after Mahayama (Void Refining) Realm.}

"So our ancestor is a God King. I wonder how strong a God King is?" Tan Bingyu asked.

Baimei thought for the answer for a while and said, {Maybe powerful enough to easily destroy small worlds like ours.}

Tan Bingyu and Xue Renxue didn’t expect this answer and turned silent.

Xue Renxue asked, "How about someone like Lord Shen?"

{You are talking about the Exalted one beside the Moon Goddess? With his power, this world of ours is no different than a glass ball in his eyes. He can casually grab it, destroy it or create one.}

"The more I ask the more terrifying it gets. Let’s just focus on the book," said Xue Renxue.

The three of them looked at the book and then looked at one another with mirroring bewilderment on their faces.

"What should we do now?" Xue Renxue asked.

Baimei retorted, {You ask me, how should I know?}

"How about trying to read the contents first?" Tan Bingyu suggested.

After reaching an agreement, they decided to read the book first. The one who flipped the book was Xue Renxue. Who would have expected that the moment they opened it, some kind of power had sucked them inside. Moreover, the protective amulet given by the Moon Empress didn’t activate. This means whatever the book possessed is not dangerous for them.

But Baimei was unable to enter the book and saw how Tan Bingyu and Xue Renxue were eaten by the book. Dumbfounded at first, the spirit beast Baimei starts to panic. When she flipped the book she saw the faces of Tan Bingyu and Xue Renxue in it. What made it worse is that the book is moving on its own.

Baimei mumbles, {What is happening? Oh no! I must find the Moon Goddess and ask for help!}

She carefully bit the book and ran around the library looking for the Moon Goddess.

On the other hand, inside the book, Tan Bingyu and Xue Renxue woke up in a place completely different from the scenery of the Hall of Wisdom. The world they are currently in was filled with white snow and blizzard falling on their heads.

"What the hell is this place?" Xue Renxue said as he helped Tan Bingyu up who was almost buried by snow.

Tan Bingyu also looked around and said, "I remember us being sucked inside the book. Is this inside the book? But... this temperature and this snow... Is it all real?"

"Bing’er, don’t you think this mountain range looks a bit familiar?" Xue Renxue.
