Chapter 12: Chapter 12

I took the bag out of the room. I looked at sis Kelly, Keil and mom who were looking at me seriously.

Sis Kelly stood up and peeked at the door as if she was looking at someone, but I turned my gaze to mom when she suddenly spoke.

“Keep coming back here, don’t ever let that man know. Bring some food too and give us some money if that rich man gives you and also ask him as much as you can, understand?!” Mom said and I just nodded.

I have no choice but to follow what she wants, what they want.

I was surprised when six Kelly suddenly screamed. “Omg! Mom, I thought the guy who took Alyana is old? Why is the handsome man leaning against the parked car and then he looks like he’s just in my age!” She looks kinda upset.

“That’s what Doreen told me.” Mom shrugged.

“Mom, he’s super handsome! Can I just come with him instead of Alyana? Promise, I’ll keep coming back here and I’ll give you a lot of money.” Sis, Kelly said happily. She looked at me, but then rolled her eyes.

Sis Kelly is beautiful, so it’s not impossible for Stephen not to be mean to her and then he is f**kboy so, if his type is sexy girls, pretty girls, then I guess he won’t decline my step-sister.

“Hmm, do you like him? Uhm, it’s okay with me as long as you’ll give me money.”

What? Does mom really agree? Is money really that important to her, and she looks like she doesn’t care at all, selling her own daughter? In my case, I understand because I know she doesn’t like me. She hates me, but sis Kelly? Her own daughter... I don’t understand.

If I am going to be a mother someday, I would never do this to my child, never!

I just gasped.

The three of us immediately looked at the door when there was a sudden knock.

“I’ll open it. No one knows. Maybe this is my future husband.” Sis Kelly said with a shudder and opened the door.

“H-Hello, I’m Ke-- “

“Where’s Alyana?” he looked around and suddenly the corner of his lip rose when our eyes met.

“Ahm, I’m Kelly.” Sis Kelly took Stephen’s hand and shook hands. Stephen immediately withdrew his hand.

“Are you Alyana’s mom?” he asked and glance at me.

“Yes, it’s me.” Mom replied.

He took a deep breath. “Can I take her now?”

“I just wanted to say that you can bring my other daughter, instead of Alyana. My daughter, Kelly is beautiful and-- “

“And I don’t care, I’m sorry, but I only want Alyana, not you...” He looks down at Kelly.

“But-- “

“Alyana, come here. We’re leaving.” Stephen took the bag I was carrying, he grabbed my hand and pulled me out of our house.

I groaned in pain because of my legs. He probably heard that because he stopped and looked at me. We are already here in front of his car and now he’s raising his eyebrow.

“Are you hurt or something?” In the tone of his voice, he seemed to be worried about me.

“Nothing,” I said and averted my eyes.

I gulped.

He opened the door for me. I slowly went inside, but I groaned again when my leg hit the chair.

When Stephen came in, my eyes widened when he touched my foot and lifted it. He looked at the back of my leg. I noticed him bite his lips and he let my leg down slowly.

“What happened to that?” He seriously asked.

“It’s just nothing, don’t mind it.” He grabbed my jaw and faced to him.

“That bruise? I didn’t see that yesterday so and I guess that probably happened last night. Tell me what happened Alyana?!”

“I ALREADY SAID THAT IT’S NOTHING!!” I shouted. He was surprised, and so do I.

Well, I don’t like people asking me questions about this. It makes me uncomfortable, and it makes me want to cry. I don’t want to be emotional.

He raise his eyebrow and smirked. “You don’t want to tell me?” I didn’t respond.

“Are you going to tell me or not??!” He seems pissed off.

I keep gulping my saliva. I’m getting scared of him now.

“Okay, fine! I won’t force you… I don’t even really care!!” he rolled his eyes on me.

He doesn’t care, but why are is does he looks upset then?

He started the engine, and we were just quiet for a couple of minutes until he spoke.

“Have you eaten?”

“Y-Yes.” I lied, but then my stomach said the opposite.

“Liar. I knew it. All women are liars. You are just like them, you all are the same.” He said it seems like he was referring to something else.

Sometimes lying to someone is not bad all the times, because there are times that it is better to lie than tell the truth.

And in my case, I was just shy to tell that I didn’t eaten yet. What will he going to do, anyway? Is she going to buy me food if I tell him?

“Let’s just eat at home. I’m sure nanny Daley already finish cooking food when we arrive.” I looked at him, confused.

“You haven’t eaten yet?” I asked, but he did not answer me.

Okay, I’ll just talk to you myself then. I just shut my mouth and turn my head outside the window.
