Chapter 83: Chapter 83

Naraygeous sat by a water fountain at the castle deep in thought about Sharaina. He was saddened by the fact that King Meelzib ordered all gamarax manipulators not to treat her.

Naraygeous remembered how lifeless Sharaina looked by the time he and Zentz got her home. Her state frightened them both. They wanted to stay with her and help out as much as they could but they were bound by their oath to serve the Dark Star army.

A maid approached the fountain. In her hand was a broom. She bent over and started to sweep away the flower petals on the flat stones.

"Excuse me ma'am, have you read what has been written about Sharaina in today's paper? I haven't had the chance to buy a copy for myself." Naraygeous said to her and she straightened her back.

"Nothing has been written about her in the papers General." She said and cautiously looked around before whispering, "The king has forbade the media from writing articles about her."

Naraygeous furrowed. "I see, thank you."

Lalina, full of envy, watched Naraygeous talk to the maid. The maid turned to leave when she missed a step and fell backwards. Naraygeous held her and caught her broom. Seeing his hands on the maid's flesh made Lalina furious.

Lalina angrily walked to Naraygeous, cursing underneath her breath. She peeled the maid off Naraygeous and gave her a hot slap that almost made her fall.

"Get lost before I have you thrown in the dungeon!" Lalina screamed and the maid ran away crying.

Naraygeous was puzzled by Lalina's behavior. She shot a glare at him and he backed away.

"Why do you insist on hurting me?" She asked him.

"I do not understand what you are talking about." Naraygeous quickly said.

Lalina grabbed him by the collar. "Can't you see that I want you all to myself Naraygeous?"

Naraygeous used his eyes to look around anxiously. "Lalina stop this before someone sees us. Do you want King Meelzib to kill me? Please enough of this." He said to her.

"Let him see us together like this. He knows that I love only you." Lalina said and her tears dropped. "Why do you keep rejecting my love?"

Naraygeous pulled her close and kissed her deeply that it knocked the breath out of her lungs. Lalina felt herself melt in his strong arms. She returned the kiss with the same intensity. Naraygeous pulled away and Lalina gazed into his eye while blushing heavily.

"I told you that you are making a scene. I do not want to die today. I have been avoiding you because I was under the impression that you hate me." Naraygeous softly said to her.

"I don't hate you." Lalina pouted.

"I believe you." Naraygeous said to her and kissed her again.

Commander Luven sat in his room, shirtless and with his hands folded. Lavila lay naked in his bed with a smile across her face. Her cheerful attitude after what she had just told him baffled him.

He was feeling so afraid and at the same time angry with her. He furiously got up and slammed his hand against the wall. Lavila sat up startled.

"Why the rage?" She asked him.

"Are you serious? Can you not see how much trouble we have gotten ourselves into?" He asked her.

Lavila smiled cunningly. "You are supposed to happy. I mean you are going to be a father. Our secret affair is ten years old. Surely you should have known that this was bound to happen."

"Your son will kill us both when he finds out!" Commander Luven raised his voice at her.

"No he will not find out. He won't kill us either." Lavila said and got out of bed; covering herself with a bed sheet. She wrapped her arms around him and said, "We will just have to kill him first before he does."

"What are you saying?" Luven asked her, surprised.

"I am saying that this is the perfect time to kill him. As we speak he is stressed about Sharaina. Her death is all he can think of. With his mind distracted, we can take him out."

Luven raised his brow at her. "What cold words coming from a mother."

"He doesn't treat me like his mother so why should I continue to show motherly love to him?" Lavila went back to the bed and sat down. She picked up the wine bottle on the head board and drank from it. "Raglan was right. He warned me several times that I was creating a monster. I was too stubborn to see it at the time." Lavila admitted and lay her hand on her belly. "This child will be the one to redeem me. I will not make the same mistakes that I made with Meelzib. I will give birth to another King."

Luven laughed. "So you deliberately fell pregnant. I knew it! There was just no way you could have fallen pregnant accidentally. Now that I know that you were just using me..." Commander Luven activated his sword. "I have no choice but to kill you. I would rather not risk dying at the hands of Meelzib because of your stupid fantasies."

"Listen to me, if we kill Meelzib, that means that I will be the overall ruler of Dark Star. Once we get married, you will be the First Prince of the Kingdom. I will give you all my royal power and you will become King. Together we will rule this Kingdom with an iron fist. Our child will be your heir."

Luven deactivated his sword and rubbed his red bearded chin. "Do you really want your son dead that much?"

"With every bone in my body. Ever since he became King, he has done nothing but humiliate and degrade me in front of my subjects. That slap he gave me that night years ago was the last straw."

"What about Sharaina? The prophecy says she is to be queen and not you." Luven asked with a smirk.

"She is as good as dead. Those wounds she got are fatal and Meelzib has forbade all gamarax manipulators from treating her. It's only a matter of time now before she breaths her last. Killing Meelzib should be our main focus."

"It shall be as you wish." Luven laughed evilly.

Day past and night came. Nelex, Geren and Jayniss sat exhausted on the floor of Sharumez and Akirexer's bed room. They spent all day feeding and giving up all their gamarax to Light. They had agreed to go hunting at once and give Light three doses so that they could rest for a while before starting the process again.

Akirexer went upstairs to them with a tray of food. Alainara followed her up the stairs with another tray. When they got in, Nelex and Geren were glad to see the food.

They were feeling famished. Akirexer served them and they started to eat hurriedly. Jayniss stopped Alainara from serving her and this puzzled her.

"Please do not be offended with me but I cannot eat this food. My brother is hungry too. Because none of us can take him food without interfering with his gamarax transfer, he will not be able to eat until he is done treating Sharaina. How can I possibly eat while he starves?" Jayniss explained herself.

Her words filled Nelex and Geren with guilt. They pushed their plates aside and wiped their mouths shamefully. Jayniss took notice of this.

"Please don't stop eating. It's okay." She urged them.

"Dear you must eat too. Light is depending on you to go out and hunt like you have never hunted before. If you don't eat, where will you get the energy to out there and hunt once you have drained yourself giving Light all your gamarax?" Akirexer softly encouraged Jayniss. "Please eat your food." She served her.

Light sat on the floor on a transfer circle he had drawn. He was giving all the gamarax he received to Sharaina who was out cold. Light noticed that there was some improvement in her condition.

He, however, could sense something in her that was hindering him from giving her replenishing gamarax. He assumed that it was natrifin but it was supposed to have become inactive by that time.

Light cut his connection and he got up to examine Sharaina again. He pulled her cover off her and set it on the other side of the bed. With his special eyes, he searched her entire body for what caused the blockage. When he finally found it, Light got down on his knees and cried.

In Sharaina was what was left of their unborn child. The natrifin in her killed it. Because it was no longer living, Light had to get it out of her so that the blockage no longer occurred.

This was painfully difficult for him. Light wiped his tears and looked at his hand.

"I never thought that this is how I will hold my first child." He muttered and sniffed.

He muffled a spell under his breath and his hand got covered in gamarax. It went through Sharaina but she didn't respond. Light touched the fetus and croaked at the squishy feeling of it in between his fingers. He pinched off the umbilical cord.

Light shut his eyes and pulled it out. He slowly opened his eyes looked at it in his hand. His tears poured as his shaky hand threatened to drop it. The fetus was at least five weeks old.

He went crying to the toilet and wrapped it in toilet paper. He proceeded to throw it in the toilet bowl. With a lump on his throat, he flashed the toilet keeping his eyes closed.

Light washed his hands at the sink. He threw water at his face for a while before finally leaving the bathroom with red and swollen eyes. He went to Sharaina and carried her into the bathroom.

Light sat her in the bath tub and pulled out her underwear. He spread her legs apart and used his powers to force everything in her to come out. He went at it until he was sure that she was cleansed.

Light opened the tap and drew water in a dish. He bathed Sharaina and carried her back to the bed where he dried her up and dressed her into another night dress. He rested her head on a pillow and covered her up.

He went back to the bathroom to clean up the bloody mess. When he was done, he turned off the lamps and closed the door. He went and sat next to Sharaina and placed his hand on her cheek.

"My love, I am happy that you will not feel this pain that I am feeling." He softly said to her as though she could hear him. "Everything will be alright. I won't rest until you get better."

Light went back to the circle he drew and continued transferring gamarax to her. This time it went to her without any blockages or problems.

Naian sat on his bed deep in thought. He thought about what happened between Light and Nami that morning. He could no longer deny that Light truly loved his sister.

Naian instead pitied Light for having an inconsiderate mother like Nami. He pitied Sharaina more for Nami's hatred ruined her life.

He wondered how far Light and the others had gone in treating Sharaina. Akirexer told him that she was going to be forced into hibernation for four days. Naian hoped that at the end of four days she was going to wake up like Light said. None of them wanted her to fall into prolonged hibernation.

As Naian thought of all this, he watched Emelinia dress up into a maroon dress, cream white coat and maroon flat shoes.

Emelinia went to the mirror and tied her hair into a ponytail. She had asked Naian earlier if she could go and see Sevilon so as to update him on Sharaina's condition. Naian gave her the permission to go despite it been 20:30hrs.

"I won't be long." Emelinia assured Naian and he said nothing to her but just nodded.

Emelinia stepped into her portal and appeared in front of Sevilon's gate in Cherilisia. This time around, the guards let her in without any questions.

They had gotten used to seeing her go there every now and then. Emelinia went to the front door and a butler escorted her to the terrace. She found Sevilon talking to Reena. Reena greeted her warmly before offering her seat.

"How is she doing?" Reena asked after Emelinia made herself comfortable.

Seeing that King Meelzib knew who Sharaina was, Sevilon no longer saw the need to keep Reena in the dark. He told her everything from the beginning to the end that afternoon after she questioned him of his low mood. Reena vowed to help him and the others in their quest to get Sharaina to the throne.

"She is stabilized. Four gamarax manipulators are treating her as we speak." Emelinia said.

Sevilon's face lightened up. "What? How is this so?" He couldn't believe it.

"Well, one of the four is her boyfriend, Light Velan. The other three are her friends. They came to treat her this morning. While Light stayed with her, the other three spent all day feeding on vampires and transferred everything they gathered to him. He in turn gave it all to her. I have faith that she will be alright soon."

"Are you sure we can trust these people?" Sevilon asked Emelinia again.

"Yes we can. I have not seen anything sinister about their intentions. As things are now, they are the best we got." Emelinia explained.

"Sevilon, it is like no matter what happens, Sharaina's destiny won't be stopped. Fate isn't favoring King Meelzib at all." Reena said to him and he nodded his head in agreement.

"We have to find other warriors and allies soon. When King Meelzib discovers that she is still alive, he will come after her again. We must be prepared for that."

"Naraygeous, Zentz and Yolin will agree to stand with us." Emelinia said. "I can also lead you to other allies."

"Excellent Emelinia. Once again you have made our work easier." Sevilon said with a smile.
