Chapter 14: Chapter 14
Joanna's POV
Its currently morning, I thought and groaned before I tried opening my eyes but it won't freaking open.
Okay I'm currently blind, time to panic, I thought as I screamed.
"Somebody help, my eyes are stuck, they won't open!"
"Shut up bitch I'm trying to sleep, " I heard Elvis grumble from his room which was after mine.
I rubbed my eyes which finally helped as it opened, but I regretted it later because of the brightness that streamed through the open window.
I shielded my eyes with my palms before I slowly withdrew them as my eyes soon got accustomed to the brightness.
"Damn!" I growled as I realized my curtains were wide open.
No wonder its so bright, I thought squinting my eyes and groaned because of the killer headache that just surfaced.
I dragged my feet and headed straight for the bathroom to get some paracetamol which I swallowed with a glass of water after which I collapsed back on the bed and waited for the headache to ease up.
Ding Ding I heard my phone ping.
"Who the hell!" I muttered and grabbed it from where it rested on my nightstand and checked the time.
"Holy shit, its 12:30 PM and Elvis was still talking about sleep" I scoffed and dropped it back on the nightstand, forgetting there was a reason I picked it up in the first place.
Ding Ding It sounded again, reminding me that someone decided to text me.
I muttered curse words under my breath as I grabbed it for the second time that afternoon and unlocked it to see who the fuck was texting me when I was nursing a killer headache.
Hey B, It read, from Mystery Guy. Yes I saved it that way hence I didn't know his name or who he was, even though he claimed to know me.
Hy. I replied
Rough night? He questioned.
You can say that.
How was the party?.
How did you know I was at a party. I texted, confused at how he knew such an information
Lucky guess, plus there was a loud party last night which I attended and I'm sure everyone showed up, even you.
Too lucky for a guess, because I'm not really a fan of parties, though last night's was an exception as I was kinda forced to, and somehow, I needed to unwind.
Lol, How's the hangover coming? He asked.
Don't ask. I replied, as my headache though subsiding, still made me want to bang my head somewhere if it could stop it from pounding.
Haha, I'm gonna leave you to rest your pretty head a bit then.
Lol, thank you.
You are welcome.
Bye.
Later Babe.
I locked back my phone and glanced at myself to see that I'm in the same outfit I wore to the party last night, just not with my shoes.
I'm not one of those people who forget whatever they did when they were drunk, heck no I'm quite the opposite and right now I wish I'm one of those who forget because I remember everything and when I say everything I mean *Everything, Everything* get that? The movie, have you watched it? Oh, forget it.
As I said, I remembered everything, right from the time I rode with Tony in his car last night, to what transpired at the party after we arrived and met with our friends at the entrance, to when I was left alone and lastly what went on with him before I slept off in his G-wagon. Yeah, I remember it all.
Now back to the present, I rubbed my face with my palms and groaned again as I recalled how handsome, tall and sexy he was. How it felt to be held by him, how it felt to grind on his groin, how turned on I became when I twerked for him and how good the kiss was.
Arrrrgggghh! I mentally groaned and pulled on my braids trying to shake away the strange feelings.
I don't regret it, trust me I don't. The only thing I regret is not knowing his name and the fact I won't be able to recognize him in broad daylight.
Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! I chastised myself and hit my head with my pillow.
I have one question though, how the hell did I get home? who let him in, because I don't recall telling him my address or opening the door for him and I'm sure mom and dad had another date night yesterday so they probably came home later than I did or maybe slept in a hotel and returned this morning, so that leaves only one person.
"Elvis! Eellviiiiss!" I yelled and rushed to his room.
When I didn't see him there I stormed down the stairs screaming louder, "Eeellllvvvvviiiissss!"
"I'm here woman! you don't need to scream down this house," His voice spoke, coming from the kitchen.
"Who brought me home Last night? I asked while I massaged my forehead and tried to calm down as my headache was still there.
"A guy." He shrugged.
"Well no shit!" I exclaimed. "I know it was a guy, I meant who?
"I don't know what you mean," He replied with a shake of his head.
I glared at him before I repeated myself. "Elvis_ I meant_ Do_ you_ know_ who_ brought_ me_ home?
"Yes." He nodded.
"Can you elaborate more? I questioned, as I imagined ways to torture him till he spills what he knows.
"No." He smirked.
"Why? I sighed, tired of this cat and mouse game we were both playing or rather, he was playing.
"Ask him." He shrugged and gave me a weird look.
"What do you mean by ask him, I don't know him, heck I don't even know his name," I blurted and hissed afterwards as my headache suddenly increase
"I know you don't." He winked.
"One day Elvis, one day I swear I would end up strangling you." I muttered before storming off in anger.
"You love me!" He threw over his shoulder as I marched up the stairs like an elephant.
"Unfortunately!" I threw back at him and entered my room after which I slammed the door behind me.
**********
I rolled to my side as I blindly searched for my phone which was ringing.
"Hah, found it!" smirked and raised it up like a trophy even though no one was here to witness the crazy moment.
Girlfriend, It indicated.
I tapped the answer sign and grinned.
Atleast someone to brighten my day, I thought.
"Hey best girl ever!" She yelled nearly destroying my ear drums as the phone was placed directly on my ear.
I shook my head at her hyper attitude and withdrew the phone before replying.
"Hey Babe, whatsup?"
"I'm fine, I'm good, how about a sleepover tonight? She questioned, as I could hear the excitement in her voice.
"Uuumm," I mumbled, while I bit off a sharp nail tip.
"Good, would be there by 8," She cut me off
"What! I didn't say anything," I blurted.
"I know, Bye!"
"But, But." I tried to argue.
"Love you!" She yelled, after which the line went dead.
I growled and looked at the time 6:30. Wah the hell how come I slept this long and I haven't even eaten, I thought as I trudged downstairs.
"Why is this place quiet," I spoke to the silent house. Too quiet if I may say.
"Mom? Dad? I called but no answer. Maybe there's a wedding or something, I thought and walked in the direction of the kitchen.
"Elvis? Sill no answer.
Well, its Saturday night soooo maybe he went for a party. I shrugged and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge, with two cookie packs from the cupboard.
I checked the time again after I devoured the two cookie packs to see its 6:58 which means I gotta take a bath and get ready before Tenda gets here because knowing her she would be here before 8.
30 minutes later, I felt comfortable and refreshed like a human being. I slumped on the couch with a baggy T-shirt and shorts and incase you are confused, I haven't showered since yesterday, gross I know but I blame it on the hangover.
I took hold of my phone from where I left it earlier close to the TV before I had my bath. I unlocked it and clicked on the WhatsApp icon and was about to reply the pending messages when the doorbell rang.
