After our barbecue- where I ate like almost all the chicken , Harry went to Answer a phone call. When he was done and came back, he was holding a white box.

"Here, I got you a new phone. I got all the information from your old phone on it.." He said handing it over . I noticed it was the latest iPhone. I had never used a phone this expensive.

"Uhh, this is way too expensive. I can't accept it but thank you very much." "That's what makes me so upset! You never fucking listen! It's just a gift because I

broke your phone!" He yelled gritting his teeth.

" I-I— T-Thank you.." I told him with a soft voice. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"Forgive me. You're the most stubborn woman I've met in all my life and trust me, I've met a fair share of stubborn women.." he said his hands raking through his hair. I just remained looking at him saying nothing. He looked away and gave me a tight smile.

"I'll let you get used to it and download all your shit. I'll be in my office, if you need anything. Will you be making dinner? I know we just ate but you'll probably get hungry again..."

"I-if that's okay with you.." I didn't want him to start barking like a dog about me not following orders. I rolled my eyes in my head. He's very temperamental.

"It's fine. Please don't be scared of me. I promised to stop yelling right? Believe me."

"O-Okay" I told him with a tight fake smile. He's giving me a headache with all these fake smiling I have to do. He came closer to me and kissed my forehead.

"See you later princess.." he said and I looked up at him.

"Princess?" I voiced my thoughts and he smiled sweetly. He looked at me intently , his eyes roaming all over my face as if trying to master every detail. When his eyes met mine, he looked away and bit his lip. He looked back and spoke "Your beauty surprises me every single time. It's almost surreal.." he told me unexpectedly.

That's new coming from him. Actually, I don't give too much credit to my looks. I've been complimented on my beauty countless times -mostly by men- but I never take it into consideration because all they want is sex. Tammy tells me all the time too but I honestly find her prettier. But Nick never fails to tell me and now, Harry too. I'm actually starting to believe them...

I cleared my throat because I was actually getting uncomfortable. He seemed to snap out of his daze and stepped back. He cleared his throat too and put his hands in his pockets.

"Uh, uh.. you said I should call you something else right? So princess it is. I'll see you during dinner okay?..." he said turning on his heel and leaving.

Weird guy. Very weird guy.

I looked at the new phone in my hands and thought of calling Tammy. But I noticed she hadn't even tried calling me. I had about a dozen missed calls from Nick. I called him back but he didn't pick up.

I hope there's nothing wrong with him. I hope the business meeting went well! Oh

, I forgot to book him a hotel and rent a car.. I hope he's fine..

Why you so worried? He's not your boyfriend! I know but..

But?

He's my friend..

I can't believe I'm arguing with my subconscious! I'm going crazy!

Few seconds later I received an incoming call from Nick. I picked up immediately.

"Ariane! I've been trying to call you for hours! You said you would call me, what the hell happened? Do you have any idea how worried I was?!" He yelled on the other line and I could feel the anger through his words.

Thank God he's fine!

He was worried about me.. gosh ! How sweet.

"Ariane? Are you there ?" He said again and I snapped out of my daze

"Y-yeah. I'm so sorry Nick, my phone broke. I didn't mean to make you worried.

I'm so sorry.." I apologized profusely. I heard him sigh deeply on the other line.

"It's fine baby. How are you? And why is that asshat Harry not picking my calls? I'll give him a piece of my mind when I get back.." he muttered with a lower voice that was soothing to the ears.

"I'm feeling much better ! No more headaches and body aches anymore.."

"That's good to hear. I'd have given you a good massage if I was by you though.." "Really ? I'll keep that in mind..We'll see how magic those hands are if you're not

bluffing.." I told him teasingly

"Hmm magic hands indeed, trust me. Wanna know what else I can do with these hands? It can take you places baby..." He asked with his voice getting deeper and huskier.

"N-no.."

"You don't ?" He asked and chuckled deeply. "You'll find out soon enough, don't worry.." he said and I could imagine him grinning like a devil.

"Pervert!" I told him and he laughed loudly making me smile like an idiot with red cheeks.

"You have no idea how much I miss you cara. I wanted to surprise you today but I just couldn't get out of this meeting."

"No no! Take your time.. I miss you too and I'm waiting for you.."

"Crazy how I knew you'd say that. And I can't wait for our next date.. I have something special planned.."

"Everything is always special with you.." I told him without thinking. It's true though.

"It's the same for you Tesoro. What happened to your phone by the way? I'll get you a new one. I didn't like that outdated phone you were using anyway." He said and I rolled my eyes.

"It fell down and got broken. Don't worry, Harry got me a new one. It's like yours.

So chill DeMorgane." I told him with a smile.

" Hmm welcome to the iPhone club baby! But I don't like other men buying you stuff , I'll accept it just cause it's Harry."

"Really? You're crazy!"

"You have no idea ..." he said and I heard him talk to someone on the other line.

Sounded like a lady.

"Who's that?" I blurted out before I could even think.

"Why? Are you jealous ?" He asked and I could swear he was smiling on the other line.

"You wish. I was just curious.." I answered too quickly.

"Bad liar. It's just one of my old flames.." he said and I hissed.

"Alright bye. I have something pressing to do. Have fun with your friend.." I said irritatingly and I realized jealousy was seeping through my words.

Why you jealous missy? He's not your man! And this is just business. Yeah.. just business.

I heard him laugh so hard and it irked me more. "What's tickling your fancy DeMorgane? Are you making fun of me ?" I asked him in irritation. I bet he would give me a lecture about me talking back to him but he laughed even more.

"I'd love to see the look on your face ! Gosh, that was a good one!

That's the investor's secretary. She was informing me about the meeting in a minute."

"Oh.." I was suddenly embarrassed at my outburst. Get a grip Ari!

"Yeah jealous cara. You have no reason to be alright ? Look,I'll call you later okay?"

"Yeah. Later." I told him disappointed we had to end the call. "Bye cara.."

"Bye caro.." I told him and hung up.

Only when I hung up did I realize how much I had missed him. Missed hearing his voice. Gosh! I'm goin crazy definitely. I thought of calling Tammy but I decided against it. I don't owe her any apology this time. But this deal I made with Harry is

tearing us apart . We keep fighting over and over and this never happened before. She didn't even check up on me and I'm the one who's sick! It suddenly made me upset so I decided to forget it.

I put my phone away and went to the sink to wash my hands. I decided to make pasta and pork. The maids in this house seemed so invisible. I never ever saw them but the work was getting done. I started making the food and when I was done, a maid walked in looking about my age.

"Hi. Do you work here ?" I almost smacked myself. Of course she works here , that's why she's wearing the uniform!

Stupid.

"Good day madame. Yes I do, do you need anything"

"No, not at all. I'm Ariana...Where have you been all this while"

"I've just been around. Mr King doesn't like seeing us loitering unless it's absolutely necessary. I'm Jasmine." She said with a smile.

"Nice to meet you Jas. Would you mind putting this on the table please." I said motioning to the bowl of food already prepared to be served

"Of course Miss Ariana." She said taking it to the dining table. "Please just call me Ari.."

"Okay Ari. You're very beautiful." She muttered and I smiled and looked at her. "You're beautiful too. Thank you though.."

"Oh wow! Thank you! None of Mr.King's girlfriends have ever told me that.." "Oh I'm not his girlfriend.."

Me? Harry's girlfriend? Ewwww!

"You're not? Then who are you?" I could see the wheels turning in her head on my relationship with her boss.

"I'm just a friend? ... yeah..uh.. I'm just staying over for a while..he's kinda my boss .. um.. yeah.." I told had trying to explain and she just looked at me weirdly .

"Ohh okayyy.." She drawled slowly. "I think I like you, you're not like his other 'friends' especially that blonde he's always sleeping with. I hate her , she's very bossy! In the 8 months, I've worked here.. he's brought more girls than I can count! But that blondie is a frequent..." She rambled on and I just stared at her like she had lost her mind.

Talks a lot hmm

"Oh I'm sorry! I have a big mouth and I tend to gossip and talk a lot.. I'll be quiet, I promise."

"No problem really.. who's the blondie?"

Her description reminded me so much of Alyssa. Bitch

"She's a model I think..I hate her and I don't know her name but I bet you'd hate her too!"

"Hmm.." I hummed thinking of the possibilities of Alyssa cheating on Nick. With Harry? Makes no sense!

Forget it Ari. Mind the business that pays you..

"So you've been working here for 8months? Has Harry always been like this?" "Well yeah . But the older maids told me he was once very happy and kind but he

became bitter when his girlfriend left." "Girlfriend? Do you know what happened?"

"Nope . I never saw her. I just know she was beautiful but you're way more beautiful, trust me. He has a picture of her hidden somewhere in his room , I could show you if you—"

"Show her what?" A deep voice startled both of us and I shook. I turned to face Harry with a deep frown on his face.

"Show me how to make your favorite food." I cut in quickly with a smile.

"Yes sir. I told her you like Beef Enchilada Casserole and I would show her how to prepare it for you.. " Jas added and he just looked at her strangely.

"Leave us now" and she scurried away quickly.

"I-I hope you like pork and pasta.." I told him taking a seat at the table. "Love it." He said with a smile and took a seat as well.

"Won't you serve me?" I was dying to say 'no, you have hands' but I smiled instead and put some pasta in his plate with a bit of stew and pork. He kept watching my every move like a hawk.

"Thank you princess." He said and took a bite. I looked at him like I really wanted his approval.

"Tastes heavenly..you're the best cook ever. Can I hire you?" He Joked and I smiled at him.

"Thank you." I said eating as well. Ohhh! It was indeed heavenly. I'm an amazing cook geez!

I wanted to do my happy dance but I just smiled instead. We continued eating in silence while making small talk occasionally. During dinner , he moved his seat so he was closer to me. Our legs were practically touching.

Awkward!

Luckily today was the last day to take those nasty drugs! Thank Goodness! I finished eating but my last bite caused some sauce to be on my chin going down to my neck.

"I'll get that for you." Harry said taking the napkin to clean it off and I seized it from him.

"Don't worry , I got it." I told him and he seized it from my hand too. "Please. It's no big deal. Just let me okay?" He said and I let him clean it

reluctantly. He cleaned my chin and my lips first and then went to clean my neck. I didn't like how he was looking at me. Made me uncomfortable and reminded me of the fact that he has pictures of me in his phone. I held his hand that was on my neck and he took his eyes off my chest and looked up at me. He out the napkin on the table and then turned to face me. His eyes landed on my lips and he touched them with his thumb and bit on his.

"Ummm, I'm sorry to interrupt but you have a phone call Mr.King. Said it's urgent!" Jasmine's voice snapped him out of his reverie and he cleared his throat. Thank God she came in!

"Excuse me." He said standing up and going to answer the call. I sighed in relief!

"I think I just saved you from whatever was supposed to happen out here!" She said with a giggle.

"You have no idea Jas! Thank you!" "Anytime Ari.."

Like Nick always says..

Gosh! I still think of him when he's miles away from me... Unhealthy!

Whatever just happened with Harry .. that was sooo awkward!

Weird guy. But with so many mysteries. Who's this girlfriend? I'll be sure to find out..
