Chapter 33: Chapter 33
“We have a lot of complaints,” Art put a lot of folders on my table. “And most of them came from our customers.”
I didn’t bother to take a look at that folder because I have an idea about its content. And I also didn’t bother to turn my attention to Art and I just stayed looking at my computer. “Just give it to Sir Enver,” I said. “And give a copy to Lucien.”
“You are not going to do anything about it?”
I sighed and this time, I turned to him. “We have to know Sir Enver and Lucien’s opinion first, Art. And if they can’t find a solution for themselves, then that is when we are going to do something, okay?”
Well, I don’t want them to become too dependent on me when it comes to every problem that Raiden faces. Yes, I can do something about the complaint and make sure to stop it but if I am the one who moves, it is not going to be good at Raiden and Enver.
They have to remember that I am only here for three months so they can’t count on me for everything.
“Oh, right.” He took the folder and went inside Enver’s office.
It has been a week since we launched the partnership between Raiden and Anox. It has a great impact on the customers and they accepted every change that happened in the company. They also support it so we have a positive effect of this.
But the problem is, most of the customers of Raiden wanted to buy the Anox car. And those people came from high-class families, which is not our target market for the Anox car that we got in the first half of our deal.
That is why as much as possible, we don’t sell it to them and only prioritize the potential clients that came from middle-class families.
And that is what the customers didn’t like. They insist on buying Anox cars at our shop even though we are directing them to other shops that also partnered with Anox.
I sighed and leaned in my chair.
This is just an easy problem, to be honest. But I had to see how Raiden solved this one.
I have been giving a lot of effort for their growth since I started here so now, it is their chance to show that they are capable of maintaining this partnership even though I am not here anymore.
“Milan!”
I almost jumped in my chair when Enver screamed my name. And after a while, he is now in front of me while holding the folder that Art gave to him.
“We need to settle this one as soon as possible,” he said. “We can’t afford to offend those customers.”
I raised my eyebrows at him “Do you want me to work on it?”
He shook his head. “I will be the one to talk to them. I am sure, they will think of it as an insult if I will just send my secretary to meet them.”
Oh. I didn’t expect that from him. At least, he knows what he should do first.
“But I want you to do something for me.”
I frowned. I can hear the seriousness in his voice which indicates that it is not an easy task for me to do.
“You still have some contact in a detective agency, right?”
I nodded. “Yeah, I still have. What should I do?”
He opened the folder and pointed to some of the names of customers that complain about the new policy of Raiden. “Can you gather some information about them?”
I looked at those names. “What should I look for?”
“Any connection to my father’s company.”
I didn’t expect that one. “What?”
“In the past three years, Dad never really interfered with the success of Raiden so I never really have to worry about him,” he said. “And I think that is because I never really did anything that may get more attention in this industry. I settled—”
“Stop!” I immediately covered his mouth before he could continue what he was saying. Not that I am not interested in what he is saying but we are not the only ones who stay on this floor. “Let’s go inside your office.”
I held his arm and pulled him inside his office. And when Art went out, I locked it and turned to him.
“So, what were you saying?”
He frowned. I am sure that he is confused about why we should have to enter his office when we just need to talk. “Well, Dad never interfered—”
I shook my head. “Not that,” I stopped him. “A little after that.”
“What?” he said. “The one that I intentionally make sure that Raiden will stay in its income range where it can only support everyone and stay in the industry without getting into bankruptcy?
“Yes!” I exclaimed. “That one!” I messed up my hair. “The current situation of Raiden is your intention. This is not because you can’t do something to make it to the top of the industry.”
He nodded. “Milan, you know my dad. If he sees that I am not serious on the path that I am walking, he will not do anything. He will just stay silent and let me just play my game,” he said. “He thinks that someday, I will lose interest in Raiden, abandon it and come back to him. And when that happens, I will just obey him about everything.”
“That is why when you started Raiden, you planned to maintain its income and stand in the car industry,” I said. “You will not pursue to be the best to make the other companies think that you are not worthy to even compete. And to deceive your dad into thinking that you will just manage Raiden temporarily because you are not making too much effort for it.”
He nodded again. “Dashiel and Lucien were the only people who knew about that plan,” he explained. “Like what you did before, I had to create a connection and influence that can help me if I start to make things more serious.”
I can’t believe what I am hearing right now.
I just sat on the sofa and messed up my hair again.
Well, I underestimate him.
And he can’t blame me for thinking like that after I learned about his situation with Raiden. Besides, I know him as a boy who always does what his father told him to do.
I never saw him show his own ability to manage a huge company
“Did I do something to make you feel stressed?” he said, with an innocent voice.
I want to tell him, ‘Yeah, your plan worked, Enver. Because you also managed to fool me and thought that you are not serious about managing Raiden!’
But that is not important.
This is good news for Raiden and everyone connected to this company. If their CEO is finally making the move to put their company at the top of the car industry, then I am sure, they will get more benefits from it.
“It took you three years to build that connection and influence,” I said. “And when you made sure that you can now fight your father head-on, you started your plan by applying for a partnership on Anox.”
“Well, Anox will become the Raiden’s shield against the people who want to destroy my company,” he said. “Even my father will hesitate to fight me if I get to partner with Lancelot.”
I can’t believe that everything that happened in the past few weeks was taking as he planned. Well, it does not include our unexpected reunion and the unexpected meeting with Lancelot and Adze.
But the result still fell in his plan.
He still manages to make sure that Anox will be on his side. And now, if the partnership becomes permanent, even his father and the other companies who will see him as a threat to their position will think twice to do something bad to them.
I smiled and looked at him. “Well, you did a great job, Sir.” I stood up. “Now, let’s ensure that Anox will stay to protect you.”
Now that I realize it, I don’t need to help Raiden to reach its success. Enver can do that to his ability. He can also protect it with the connection and influence that he built three years ago.
All I have to do is to make sure that in three months, no one will be able to break the deal that I made with Anox. Because it is still vulnerable and those three months will be its crucial time.
I guess that is my real role here.
