“I feel so nervous dad.” Elena fidgeted

“Don't be, the man you love most in the world is waiting for you at the altar.”

“Thank you, dad, for standing by me and showing me the way, if not for you I might still be wallowing in self-pity and doubt.”

“It's my duty as a father to protect and guide you. I'm just so happy things are back to normal with you and your husband.”

Elena's mother had suggested they renew their wedding vows, she had made attempts to rectify her wrongs by apologizing to Anthony, and being cordial with his parents.

Anthony and Elena bought the idea and the wedding preparations began in earnest. Elena and Anthony's mum worked together. No one shut each other up, a decision was brought to the round table and Anthony and Elena had to consent before they executed each plan.

The twins were hysterical when their parents informed them, and Ava kept making sentences without finishing them. When she got a grip over her emotions, she ran to the table phone and started making calls to all her friends informing them of their parents' wedding, she only allowed her sister to speak for a few seconds. Emma didn't mind, all that mattered was she would have her dad, mum, and sister under one roof and if possible a baby brother. She giggled when the thought ran through her mind.

Anthony stood at the altar, looking smart in his black tuxedo, cufflinks, and a crisp white shirt. He had gone to the salon earlier to have a shave and a haircut. He looked impeccable as he waited for his wife.

The beautiful notes from the piano announced the bride who looked spotless in her overflowing high necked white gown, she wore light makeup and flat shoes. Anthony didn't know it yet but she was sure they were about to have an addition to their family.

The vows were said, a vow made for better or worse till death does them apart.

“I have an announcement to make,” Elena's father said into the mic after the couples dance and the guests were all seated and having their meals.

“As we all know Anthony and Elena are renewing theirs, their first wedding was ten years ago. But this time around their marriage would be more peaceful and enjoyable. They already have two beautiful daughters and maybe they might decide to add a son. But that is a decision for both of them to make.”

The guest giggled and Elena looked at her husband and whispered something to him which made him smile and plant a full kiss on her mouth.

“Anthony you have to wait till you get home.” Elena's dad teased him.

“I am retiring as CEO of Badmus enterprises. And I want my son-in-law to fill in as the new CEO. That is if it's okay with him.”

Anthony sat still shocked, he wasn't expecting such a huge offer for his inlaws and he knew his mother-in-law had been trying to be nice to him. The last thing he wanted was to get on her nerves. But when he turned towards her, she smiled and nodded at him. She was aware of her husband's decision and Anthony was the best man to take his place not because he was their son-in-law but he was learned, hardworking, and had the experience needed for the job.

“What do you say, Anthony.”

“I would be honored to step into your shoes, father.”

Elena started her fashion line and the twins modeled for the children line of the brand, within a year she became a household name in clothing especially for children.

Elena's parents began their tour from Africa and would be coming home after almost a year abroad.

The twins had bonded more and since they have a new baby brother they poured all their attention to him.

Anthony sat as the new CEO and within a year of taking the reins of the business, the share price of the company rose.
