Chapter 11

~Timber’s POV~

I materialized in the pack house with a huge smile plastered on my face that I was back home with my family and pack. I was gone almost a week, but it felt like years and just wanted to wrap myself in their arms. Feeling their warmth on my skin. Inhaling their scents into myself.

I really thought I would see Johnathon here but he wasn’t anywhere near the house. He must be off with Andrew taking care of pack business around the territory.

Since the dream and visits from Shamira in both mine and the boy's dreams and thoughts, I should have known he wouldn’t actually be here. Instead he’d be preparing his men and the pack for the war she was threatening to bring with her. It was eerie quiet when I arrived and my wolf senses were on high alert as I called out to Magda.

No answer. I called out to the boys.

Nothing.

“Where is everybody?” I asked aloud in hopes someone anywhere would answer me… but still nothing.

‘Maybe they are tied up and can’t speak?’ Karin states. Seriously? That’s what she goes to?

‘Doubtful Karin. They’d at least be able to mind link me. Remember?’

‘Not if they were tied up aannnd knocked unconscious!’ she snaps back like that statement would help the situation in the slightest.

Dread started to fill me as my thoughts ran rampant with the worst rushing forward not giving me a chance to settle on one before moving to another. I could feel Karin stirring in anticipation that something bad happened. My heart beat increased… my breathing becoming erratic… my head swimming with confusion and worry.

‘Calm down Karin! Everything is going to be fine. You’re causing a mind-cane’ I snapped at her to stop with vexation pacing.

Then I heard the most high pitched screech coming from the other side of the house. “Oh my Goddess!” fear rushed through me at the sound and Karin took over causing us to become unsteady. With great desire to be where the sound came from I disappeared from the front of the house and reappeared on the backside near the kitchen.

Steading myself for a moment as we just transported ourselves… on our own. That was a new feeling that left me feeling a little nauseous from the sudden start and stop movement. My head even started to feel woozy from it. Karin even gave me back control from the sudden jolt. Not complaining about that.

Frantically looking around at my surroundings until I found the cause of the sound that caused such discomfort. It took split seconds for me to gain my bearings before I found the source of the sound that drew me to it in the first place.

My eyes focused on Magda, Myles and Marcus. All the fear I once had subsided as relief took over in mounting waves.

They were playing. My body calmed as a small smile moved across my face. Leaning against the door frame with my arms folded over my chest.

I just stood there in joy as my boys were laughing and jumping on Magda. I watched as they would jump on her then run away as she pretended to eat them. Only to do it over and over again. Warmth filled my heart and Karin relaxed instantly at the site.

At the clearing of my throat everything stopped and all heads turned in my direction . I saw two sets of eyes grow larger than life as they yelled ‘Mommy!’ in unison.

Getting off of Magda they came running towards me at full speed with no hint of slowing or stopping. Realizing I was about to be pummeled by two of the rowdiest boys known alive, I braced for impact kneeling down with my arms wide open and legs slightly parted.

“I missed you, my babies! How have you been with daddy and Auntie Magda?” smiling and kissing their little cheeks back and forth. Another wave of warmth filled me with their unconditional love being thrown my way. Karin started purring with delight.

“We missed you mommy!” fits of giggles exploded from their little bodies. “We are good! Auntie Magda has been playing with us.” they laughed more and pointed back to Magda who was now standing with her arms gently folded across her chest smiling. Joy radiating off them like heat waves in a barren land as they barely kept from exploding in excitement.

“That is so wonderful! You looked like you were having fun when I arrived.” laughing and tickling them in my arms. I couldn’t have been happier seeing them. Hugging them. Smelling their hair and touching their delicate faces with the palms of my hands. Adoration and love seeped from my eyes as they burned with it.

“We had the most fun mommy!” Myles said gleefully as Marcus nodded erratically with agreeance. Pulling them tighter into my arms not wanting to ever let them go again.

“Are you going to tell daddy your home mommy?” Marcus finally said, pulling back slightly from his tight embrace. I nodded haphazardly, smiling so big it reached my ears. Tears threatening to leave their protective barrier.

“Do you know where mommy can find daddy?” I asked them cooing.

“Alpha Johnathon left earlier to go to the NorthWest border Luna.” looking at her quizzically as her appearance shifted slightly with that one comment.

“What’s up Magda? Is something wrong? Please, call me Timber.” questioning her for more information.

“Just patrolling a little extra Lu… Miss Timber.” something was not being said.

‘What isn’t she telling us? Is everything ok with mate?’ Karin asked, now concerned too.

‘Johnathon baby… I’m home. Where are you love?’ I linked him as the boys squirmed their way from my grasp and ran to go play again.

‘Hey love… I was with Andrew taking care of some disturbances. But Bane needed to be let out before he lost his mind, so we are patrolling the Eastern Border. I’m so glad you are back. I’ve…’

‘What about me!? I miss mate too!’ Bane bellowed, interrupting my sentence. Losing all train of thought.

‘We’ve, missed you terribly. Did you find what you were looking for? Did you get those questions answered?’ he replied back with love and a hungry lust filling the link. Feeling a dampness and heaviness started to make its way in my lower regions as his thoughts and sensually husky voice rang through the link. Goddess I miss him.

‘Yes I did…. and more actually. We need to speak. You and I… about things to come and how to prepare. I know now what’s going on. Come home as soon as you can so I can explain.’ sending my own lustful and loving thoughts through the link as I smirked mischievously.

All my thoughts of how much I missed him, his touch, his mouth and his warmth flooded through my mind in a flash as it rushed into the link like a tidal wave. I couldn’t help the images of him touching me in places where only he could ignite fires and extinguish them at the same time.

My own lustful thoughts made a burn move through my veins as my core clenched and twitched with desire for possibilities to come as I squeezed my legs together… only to be brought back to reality by his erotic husky voice.

‘Woman you’re gonna be the death of me if you keep thinking those kinds of thoughts. We’ll be home sooner than you think.’ smiling at his late response knowing I got to him a little. ‘Trust me… when I get my hands on you not even a thunderous rain storm will be able to quench the fire that will be ignited.’ feeling his arousal through the link only made me want him that much more.

‘Is that a promise… or a threat?’ chuckling at his playfulness. Goddess I missed him.

‘Oh you know I do not make idol threats and all my promises come to pass.’ growling lowly through the link making my abdomen clench more with anticipation of what was to come.

‘I’ll be home shortly. How are the boys?’ he stated, trying to change the subject, only dimly cooling the raging inferno that has been forcefully awakened within the both of us.

Although I know once I get my hands on him I will not be able to control myself at all. Making his return that much more enticing and filling me with agonizing anticipation.

‘They’re fine. When I got here they were playing with Magda. See you soon, I love you’ with that our link ended. Having needed time to calm and gather my senses I sat there on the floor for a moment. Gathering the boys, Magda went to the kitchen to start dinner while I took them upstairs for baths.

After their baths, they ran to their room to play more. I took this opportunity to my advantage and made my way to my bedroom. Closing the door behind me I mind linked Madga. ‘Hey Magda? I’m going to take a hot bath. The boys are in their room playing. Please keep ears on them for me. Thanks a lot.’

‘Sure Timber. Enjoy your bath.’

Walking to the bathroom I turned on the water creating the right temperature before filling it with strawberry and cream scented bath salts. Talking off my clothes, placing them in the hamper I stared at myself in the mirror.

‘We look good.’ Karin purred in my mind causing a small smirk to form.

Once the bath reached its desired depth I slowly stepped in leaning back with my head resting on the rim of the jacuzzi size tub. Closing my eyes and inhaling the scents, I drifted off to sleep.
