Chapter 28: Chapter 28

Chapter 2

~Timber’s POV~

“Hey baby” I say, opening my eyes as I turn over and climb on top of my gorgeous mate. Rubbing myself on him so he feels my burning desire that’s only for him, trying to wake him up in the most seductive manner. I kiss his forehead. “Good morning love.” nothing.

Then his eyelids.

Still. No movement.

Placing my legs on either side of his waist I start to grind in gentle circles on his growing throbbing desire a little more deeper. Kissing his beautiful jawline nipping at it with my teeth.

Looking at his eyes, waiting for them to do something. But. Nothing. “Come on Johnathon baby, wakey wakey.” I giggle in a sing-songy voice as I continue to torture myself in his awakening. I even try kissing and nipping on his mark hoping for a reaction. Any reaction. But still, nothing. His breathing never wavered to provide me with the smallest of hints he may be awake.

“Well this was a bust.” I whispered to myself crossing my arms over my chest as I started to get off of him in a huff.

“And where do you think you’re going?” a deep husky voice broke the silence as I was held in place straddling his waist with him grabbing my waist in his strong hands, eyes still closed. “I was enjoying that little lap wake-up dance.” smirking to himself as his eyes slowly filtered open staring into mine. His eyes darker than normal.

My insides grew weak and I fell down on top of him laying on my forearms. He pulled me closer by grabbing my arms and kissed me passionately. Even after seven years, Johnathon could still make me go weak in the knees and complete jelly in my belly.

Stopping the kiss, with our faces only millinches from each other he whispered, “good morning my beautiful little mate. Mother of my pups. Luna to our pack.” continuing to place little kisses along my jawline until finally reaching my mark. Sucking and kissing it, making me release a small moan in response. Leaning my head sideways giving him more access. My eyes rolling back in my head.

With a sudden burst, the door flew open and two little boys came flying through it jumping onto the bed. “Mommy! Daddy!” they screeched in unison. I looked up abruptly at the unforeseen intrusion, and then shook my head before burying it back into Johnathon’s neck smiling.

“Good morning Marcus, Myles.” I cooed softly over my shoulder as I moved to the side of Johnathon as he gave a slight growl with the movement. Smacking him gently I said, “later baby, later.” then winked at him with a seductive smile. Poor Apha had to adjust his pants.

“Mommy? Are we still going for a run today?” Myles said joyfully.

“You promised, remember mommy? Daddy, will you come too?” Marcus asked in his quick reply. Jumping up and down on his knees.

“Yes, my loves. If I said it, then we will do it.” looking down at Johnathon, “Can you leave your work for a little while and come as well?” Looking at him with pleading eyes and pouty lips.

“Well… I guess I could clear my schedule for a short while. I need a good run with my family.” he stated back smiling at the boys and kissing my pout. “Boys go see your Aunt Magda for a little bit ok? Mommy and daddy need to get ourselves… together. OK?” hugging them as he scooted them off the bed winking at me.

“Ok daddy! See you in a few minutes!” they echoed back in unison as they skipped out of the bedroom down the hall screeching, “Aunt Maaagdaaa!?”

“So. Now. Where were we?” Johnathon said sultry as he grabbed my waist and pulled me to him covering my mouth with his once again pulling me tight against him turning me over to my back. This was definitely going to take more than a few minutes.

~~~~~~
Walking around the house we found the boys outside with Magda playing in the open yard. I couldn’t help but smile at the sight of them. The Mood Goddess has blessed me more than I could possibly comprehend with these two and my perfect loving mate. My heart swelled with pride and adoration. Karin was watching through my eyes just purring at her pups and mate too.
“Mommy! Daddy!” they shouted as they ran to us upon discovering our entrance to the outside grounds. Marcus jumped into my arms while Myles jumped into Johnathon’s wrapping his arms around his neck giggling. “You made it!” Marcus said, as Myles just nodded and giggled some more.
I tickled Marcus in his ribs and stomach while he squirmed and squealed in delight. After he settled down a bit in my arms I kissed his head sniffing his beautiful young head.
“Of course we did! We wouldn’t disappoint our favorite twins?” laughing together as I touched his nose with the tip of my finger. “Ok let’s go.” I said as I placed Marcus down and started shifting. The boys followed suit as did Johnathon before heading off to our favorite destination.
‘To the lake?’ Johnathon asked in our mind link.
‘You know it.’ I replied back. Karin was purring with delight being out with her family in wolf form. This was all she ever wanted. A loving mate and pups to adore. Karin huffed through her snout showing her approval too before letting her legs out.
We sprinted to the lake playing briefly in the meadow as the boys jumped around each other and us. It was a perfect sun shining day with a slight breeze to keep us cool from the hot demanding rays.
As the lake came into view the boys went for the water and played jumping around while Johnathon and I laid on the fresh green grass watching them. Karin laid her head on Johnathon’s paws, contentment made obvious by her purring.
Most were-pups do not transform into their wolves at such early ages of six years old, but our boys aren’t any normal were-pups. They belong to Alpha Johnathon and I… and nothing about us is normal. Our boys are strong were-pups, a force to be reckoned with really. I wonder what their gifts will be?
‘Who are you?’ a whisper came through my ears as they perked up. I looked around as I turned my head from side to side cautiously and determined to find the one behind the voice.
‘Baby, did you say something?’ I mind linked Johnathon. Trying to conceal my concern.
‘No love. What’s wrong?’ he asked back with his own concern, vibrating through the mate link. Bane now looking at me with his cocked sideways.
‘Nothing. I thought I heard something.’ laying my head back down, now on my own paws.
‘Are you sure? Do we need to return?’ he asked, not really sure why he was placing their entire safety in her hands, but knew as Alpha, listening and relying on his Luna and her instincts have kept them out of immense danger at times over the past few years.
‘No, we are fine. I’m sure it’s just the wind.’ trying to shake it off while keeping an extra fierce watch on our excursion out and keeping Johnathon calm without worry.
I continued to watch the boys play around and in the lake freely. The breeze still gentle and welcoming as I laid there, love oozing out of every fiber of my being for my family. Karin just purring in delight being with Bane and her pups.
‘I said, who are you?’ the voice said again. But this time, annoyed that I didn’t answer the first time. Not getting up or moving, I acknowledged the voice with my own question.
‘The question is… who are you?’ I said back feeling my own annoyance with this unknown voice. At first there was no reply. I was feeling a little smug about my tiny victory until one came.
‘Who am I?!?’ she bellowed. ‘I am the one who brings life and death. I am the one who can destroy all things with the flick of a hand. I am the one who is the rightful ruler of the Lycans. That is who I am. I Am! Queen Shamira! So, again I ask. Who? Are You?’
Venom spilled into my mind as she spoke those words. Great concern, fear and protectiveness grew in enormous lengths within me as she without saying specifically threatened my family. My home. My very being.
The one thing that kept playing over and over in my mind was her being the rightful ruler of the Lycans. Why would she think I could be? This haunted me more than anything and fear caressed into my veins at what this could mean.
“Timber? Karin shift!” Johnathon kept calling my name telling Karin to shift until I came back into reality and pulled from my thoughts. Karin shifted at his command.
“Oh. Yes. Sorry baby. What did you need?” shaking my thoughts away as he started to gather into my path of vision .
“I asked you if everything was alright? I felt a strange stirring within you but you wouldn’t answer my link. Is everything alright? You started to glow blue.” concern and worry laced his voice as he spoke from a place of uncertainty.
“Yes baby, Really. I’m fine. Just lost in deep thought that’s all.” giving him a small smile before kissing his sweet lips gently licking the leftover jam off of them. “Hhmm. Apple. Yummy.” I winked at him licking my lips before he pulled me into a deepening passionate kiss only to be interrupted again by the boys.
“Mommy! Look what we found!” Myles screeched as he and Marcus ran up to us sitting on the blanket. They too have shifted in their excavades.
“Oh wow! That is beautiful darling. Where did you find it?” I asked curious where they could have found such an exquisite, yet unusual looking stone.
It was pale blue, transcendent pearl white and light green with fiery red undertones. When the light hit it, it shimmered and shined brightly, almost sparkling in the sun’s rays. I was entranced by it.
My eyes wouldn’t leave its soothing pull as I examined it closely in between my fingers. The stone was smooth on both sides and rounded in its edges, making it look even more delicate and captivating.
“We found it by the trees over there on the other side of the lake mommy.” Marcus said, pointing to the large patch of trees in the near distance, as they watched me entranced by the thing. “Where did it come from mommy?” Marcus and Myles asked in unison, curious about the thing as much as I was.
“I don’t know boys. But it is very beautiful isn’t it?” I said, finally tearing my gaze from it to them while giving them a loving smile.
“Johnathon? Have you ever seen one of these before?” bringing it closer to his sight for a better look.
“No. Where did you say you found that, boys?” feeling the uneasiness radiating off of him as he spoke. Although it looked like a normal stone, power radiated from it. Calling out somehow.
“Come daddy! Come Mommy! We will show you!” they squealed out excitedly having found themselves a jewel, pulling and dragging us to the place where it had been resting.
The closer I got to the area it was found, the more restless Karin became. ‘Somethings not right here’ she said as she went on high alert. ‘I know Karin. I can feel it too. It seems awfully familiar here though doesn’t it? This area here… like I’ve done something important here.’
‘let’s leave, I don’t like it. Save our family.’ Karin pleaded as she became more and more restless howling, scratching and pacing within me trying to push forward.
“Ok boys. I think it is getting late. Let’s start heading back now ok?” looking around nervously as I smiled at them sweetly.
“Yes mommy!” they squealed before shifting jumping around each other as Johnathon and I looked at each other before speaking.
“Timber? What’s going on? I don’t like this at all. Something’s up I can sense it. Talk to me.” he pleaded with me, letting his eyes do most of the speaking.
“I don’t know Johnathon. Honestly I don’t. But I feel like I’ve stood in this spot before, but not for a good reason.” staring at him with so many unknowns in my eyes. “This stone means something. About my past… maybe? I can feel it. I just don’t… can’t remember exactly.” looking down as I say the latter part shaking slightly from side to side.
“I know love. But you will, and I will be here to help you and be there for you no matter what happens because of it.” he said, pulling me into a hug and kissing the top of my head. I closed my eyes hoping it doesn’t mean what I think it might. I don’t want to lose them, not now that my life is finally becoming perfect.
We let go of each other before finally shifting and started our run back to the pack house with the boys in lead. The whole way back the words the voice in my head said would repeat itself over and over.
