Chapter 35: Chapter 35

Is this what It felt like to be in a prison? Even though all both the air conditioner and the standing fan in the room was working, she still felt suffocated.

Everyone has left her, alone to face her most scariest night ever since she was being brought into this world. It is not even a thing to be scared of but she has to be, she doesn't know what kazeem is capable of doing or at what extend will he go to, just to get what his heart desires without feeling bad.

She decided to put all thoughts behind her and pray two rakkat to her Lord. He did the only one that can help her in this condition she is. She can't even blame anyone for what is happening to her because she could have filed a complain or allowed her father to do so when he saw him unhappy she was with the wedding arrangements.

She wiped her lone tears that fell as she tells her Lord her worries, asking him to guide hire and to show her the way to find a halal solution.

She stayed on the praying mat for like what seem forever before sleep took it tolls on her. She did find solace in both praying and sleeping, it feels like the world doesn't exist which means she has nothing to worry about. That everything is going to be alright.

She rolled on the praying mat like a one year old would, she was indeed enjoying her sleep, she silently prayed to the Lord that nobody wakes her up.  Luckily, she had locked the door up so no one is going to barge in without her knowing and what she meant with nobody was, Kazeem.

She knew it is a small task to him, nobody has to tell her what he is capable of doing, you just can't predict his mind. He is like a carmelon always changing it's true color and deceiving people that don't know much about him.

She had a dream, a dream she would wish to have again, it was so short yet beautiful. She wished it could become a reality and then she will be the happiest girl in the town, scratch that, in the whole world. It is a dream in heaven, she dreamt about her getting out of this miserable marriage and marrying her prince charming. It'd be what she always wished for and she will live to see it come true. She is tired of shedding tears because of one devil, kazeem. It will be so nice to be happy for once, be free like a lost bird in the sky. That is all she had wished for that night in Abu Dhabi and it seemed not to be going her ways.

Things are not going as she wanted them to be but then, they say The Lord never ignores a prayer, it is either a bigger win is coming your way or the one to prayed for is not the best for you.

She wiped out her sweaty face, she just couldn't understand why she is feeling hot while the room is actually cool. Maybe it is because she is scared of what might happen to her when kazeem returns home, she knows it is to be something she will detest and cringe about for the rest of her life.

With no doubt, she knows he is either in a club house or doing something bad but as a  human being and a muslim, she can't judge him or say bad about him in the public.  She can only pray for the best for him, that's all she can offer him, prayers.

A fierce knock on the door forced her out of her reveries and a few heavy bangs on the door followed. Her heart almost skipped a beat because it did.

She felt it in her whole system, it was Kazeem, she needs no second confirmation. Her doom is near and she can only tell everything to her God.

"Won't you open the door for me or you need me to break it down for you" he questioned sluggishly.

She whispered a few dua before gathering all the courage in her to open the door. A stinking smell hit her directly in the nose and she could swear it is alcohol. He can't live without it obviously.

"I thought you were not going to open up. You would have see what I can do to the door and you." He stutters and she cringed. The smell is disturbing and it is killing her organs  that she couldn't even think straight talk less of what he was ranting about.

"Let me run the bath for you. Do you want hot or cold water?" She asked holding her breath while turning towards the bathroom door to run everything for him.

He dragged her cold body onto his smelly ones. "I love it like this. You smell so amazing and heavenly" he said pushing his nose in the crook of her neck.

"Please stop. I don't like that and I have to run the water for you. Please" she pleaded. If he continues, she will vomit on him and she doesn't want that to happen. She don't even want to imagine what he would do to her after that. He'd almost kill her wallahi.

"No. I want you here with me. I want to feel your warmth and everything. I love it like this like I said before" he said angrily.

She sighed shaking, tears found it way out from her eyes, she needs to put a stop to this because she can't take it anymore. He is trying to hurt her physically, emotionally and mentally.

She pushed him off her body and looked at him pitifully. " I'd let you do anything but please take your bath. I beg of you" She cried out.

He looked at her and laughed before he moved to the bathroom almost knocking down all the vases on the floor. She made a mental note to change all there spots even the ones in the living room.
