Chapter 18: Chapter 18

•Kimberley•

Hectic is a word Kimberley will use to describe how busy the week went for her. She was occupied with preparation of the wedding she doesn't want to take place.

A wedding that will cause her downfall and destruction. She lay on her bed wondering how she will cope with someone she never likes for once, someone she hates.

Her phone blinked indicating an incoming message, when she checked It was from her best friend Manal.

Manaliii❤️ (11:30 AM, 4:11): Heyoo kiddo, oops sorry future Mrs K Mamman.

Kimberley had to roll out her eyes, she detest the name, first she called her a kid and then she called her Mrs him. She will never be Mrs him

She furiously texted back, she was beyond annoyed.

Kim(11:31 AM, 4:11): I told you that I don't like that name, please stop. And when will you drag your lazy body to Nigeria and of course for my wedding, before you ask me something nonsense.

She sighed after pressing the send button.  She is getting herself into something she won't be able to get out easily. This is not the type of life she has always wanted.

Manaliii ❤️ (11: 35 Am, 4:11): okay I am sorry and I won't be able to attend your wedding because college is calling and I have to report a day before the wedding. I am so sorry, I feel bad for this but ummi will be leaving here tomorrow and I gave her my Wedding gift for you.

Love you but I gotta go.

She wiped the tears that were falling from her eyes. She won't be able to enjoy her last day as a bachelorette with her best friend, her other half.

A knock on the door made her sit well, throwing the toilet paper into the bin. " Are you okay my love" Her father questioned pipping into the room.

" Yes daddy, something got into my eyes" she replied laughing.

" Do you mind escorting me to your uncle's house and then we have a father-daugther moment in the car?" He asked. The old man missed all the time he used to play with his little angel.

She quickly nodded, she has been looking for a way to run away from the house. Her father left to wait in the car while she get ready and inform her mother about her outing.

Her mother prayed and wished her well. Kimberley met her father already warming up the car while waiting for her.

He drove to his cousin's house while gisting and snapping pictures with his daughter. Kimberley cherished that moment the most because she doesn't know when she will get to live it again.

They arrived at the house and he honked waiting for the gateman to open the gate. He had to call his cousin as the gateman refused to open the gate claiming he doesn't know about them. Which is right.

Kimberley and her father were received well by Alhaji Ammar and his wife. They were so happy to see their cousin and also a lost friend.

" Masha Allah, is this Hafsa that I am seeing?  She has grown into a beautiful lady , wollah you groomed her well" Alhaji Ammar's wife said.

" Yes, and I have to thank Aisha for that. She did the best to give our angel here the best she could" her father answered and Kimberley could only give out her killer smile.

" Let me go and call hauwa so that she won't feel lonely " the woman informed making her way to the stairs.  " Don't forget to call Yusuf too, he needs to greet his uncle" Alhaji Ammar added.

The two lost cousins continued talking about all they missed. That was where Kimberley got to know that she is as the same age with hauwa and they applied for the same course and school.

A fair girl and her brother descended the stairs fighting with their mother scolding them behind. " Can't you two keep your differences aside and welcome your uncle well?" She questioned shouting. The duo stopped talking and reached where their uncle was.

They greeted him while he engaged them in a talk. They seemed so free with him and Kimberley had to wonder whether this is not their first time meeting.

"Hauwa, you didn't see your sister or what" Alhaji Ammar inquired.

" Sorry, How are you? Kim right?" Hauwa asked turning to face her and Kim muttered a yes to her.

"Innalilahi, you are more in beautiful in person than on social media"Immediately hauwa said that, Kimberley began to crack her brain.

Her account is private and she knows all her followers on Instagram because they are her school members or their siblings and she hardly post on Snapchat, so how did hauwa see  her pictures?

" Don't think too much, I will tell you everything later" Hauwa whispered into her ears dragging her to the stairs.

" I am going out to meet a friend" Kimberley heard a husky voice said. The voice that made her to hook, she turned and their eyes met. She felt a stink in her chest, the rate of her heart beat increasing. What is this that she is feeling right now?

" Why are you standing? Let's go" Hauwa's voice brought her out of her reveries. She silently followed hauwa to her room. The room looked so unladylike, empty bottles of soda drink were scattered around the room making the room looks so litter.

"I am sorry I didn't get to make my room, I will just do that while I tell you a short story, a story of how I got to see your pictures" She grinned pointing the couch. Kimberley did as she was asked, she sinked into the soft leather couch moaning.

" I followed you using my brother's account which is Yusuf_XXX and why? Because I handle the account and it is so boring" Hauwa informed her picking the soda bottle.

Mouth agape, Kimberley nodded. This is so fantastic, someone handling someone's  account. She has never thought of it and now that gave her an idea.

She will ask someone to handle her account during her wedding, and she couldn't get a better person.
