Searching For Her Prince Charming

I noticed the strange behavior of Amelia these days, she doesn't talk with me as usual, she always turns me down and used the language no whenever I tried asking her for a favor.

"Could it be that she is angry at me?", I questioned myself.

"I never offended her, why the change of attitude, Halloween period is fast approaching, I would want our friendship to be restored before then so I need to try my very best to get her attention. Moreover, I still have feelings for her, I know she won't feel the same way but I assure her with more time she will".

" What should I do right now?" I asked my self.

Then I finally settled to ask any of her friends be it, Sonia or Chloe, maybe they can be of help and letting me know if I hurt her in any way.

After class, as usual, I saw Chloe walking alone, maybe to join the others, as normal, I had to walk to her and stop her

"Hey Chloe, heading to join the others right", I asked.

" Yes Gael, I had to get something from my locker before joining them, hope everything is fine", she said.

" Well to be truthful, everything is not really fine with me", I confided in her.

"Why? Did someone offend you or what"?.

" Actually is Amelia", I said.

"What about her?", she asked wearing a worried look.

"Well, I took note of her constant change towards me these days so I was wondering what exactly I did wrong. I decided to speak with you to let me know if I did wrong her, you know she tells you and Sofia everything!" I said to her.

"Not at all Gael, Amelia is not mad at you okay, so free your conscience" She assured me that Amelia was not mad at me.

"Then what exactly is the problem?".

"I thought she told you, Gael!". She gave me a weird look.

I can't really recall Amelia telling me anything off recent so what could she be referring to.

" Please make me understand, she never told me anything".

" Okay, please promise me you won't tell her I told you," she asked for assurance first.

"I promised not to tell her, Mark my words ".

" The reason she is behaving weird these days is that she has found love, Amelia is deeply in love with a prince charming, that's how she addressed him ".She said.

I got heartbroken in hearing this.

She continued" At the same time, she is really unhappy cause she hasn't seen him in days so I would advise you to give her some space okay".

" Sure, I will, thanks for telling me, Chloe".

"You always welcome and we all are friends as well, too bad she didn't grow feelings for you, got to go now, they are waiting for me", she left bidding me goodbye.

I couldn't think properly when she left, she is in love with someone else but why not me.

I think I should be a bit happy if the person she loves hasn't shown up for days, seems he left her and I still have a chance to be with her.

At the cafeteria, I ran into Amelia.

" Amelia why avoiding me, am sorry if I wronged you okay", I tried pleading with her.

"Come on Gael, am not mad at you okay, just have something to fix", she said.

" Are you really in love with someone else?". I threw the question at her.

"If I may ask, why asking if I should give you the answer, what happens next".She said bluffing.

" Well am sorry for asking, we have dinner some other time soon", I said before leaving her there

Amelia

I couldn't eat, I kept on skipping my meal daily because I haven't seen or heard a word from my Prince charming Dimitro.

"Dimitro where are you, a call or a letter would do, you just left like that without telling me, first I thought you traveled but if you traveled you are supposed to be back by now", I kept talking with my thoughts.

I brought out my phone, looking at his picture, I took this picture unexpectedly without his permission or notice, then I started talking to the picture, expecting a reply.

" I think am going insane because of him, maybe I should go back to the old Castle again, maybe he would be back by now", I finalized the whole thing.

Then my mom came in, when she tapped me, I got startled by her act.

"Mom at least knock, you startled me you know", I said to her.

" Sorry about that my child, I am worried because of you, what's eating you up my child, talk to momma", she insisted.

I know I can't tell her, she would freak out cause she kept warning me not to go to the old castle.

"Nothing mom", I lied.

" You skip your meal these days and yet you say nothing".

"Mom stop worrying about me, am fine". I tried convincing her with lies.

" Well if you say so, food is ready, come to the dinner let's eat", she said.

"Mom I was planning on going out, will eat when I come back", I said to her.

" Okay I would wait but I would be mad if you lied about you coming back to eat okay", she said.

"Yes my Queen", she hugged me close.

I went to the old castle over and over again, still no traces of him, I feel am losing it.

At school, I told my friends about it.

" Maybe something bad happened to him, what do you think", said Chloe.

I got scared hearing this,"Really, something might have happened to him, oh my cute prince charming".I said with sadness.

"Come on Amelia don't let Chloe scare you okay, he would be fine and nothing terrible would happen to him!!", Sofia said.

I got my hopes back after hearing this from her.

" Thanks so much, so what can we do to find him now", I raised the question.

"Well let's ask around since you have his picture it would be easy, what do you think", Chloe suggested.

" Now you are saying the right thing Chloe", Sofia added.

" Then let's get on with it". I smiled.

Catalina walked to me saying," I can't believe that you Amelia, the starlight gets dumped by a new lover".

I hate the mean girls but wait a minute how did she find out about it anyway.

"Seems you are lost Catalina", said Sofia.

" Sure I would find my way, wondering how I heard about it, I overhead your friend Chloe telling Gael, soon the full school will find out", she bluff and left.

I looked at Chloe with a deadly stare.

"Am sorry Amelia, let me explain exactly what I said to Gael".

Chloe and Sofia joined me in searching for my Prince Charming, " Excuse me, please have you by chance seen this young man in this picture", I asked a lady in her thirties.

"Not at all miss, have never seen this face in my life." Replied the lady I asked.

We kept getting negative answers for whoever will ask, they haven't seen him in their life before was like a hell of an answer.

"I have an idea", Sofia said.

"Spill", I replied to her.

" After the test, let's search for him on the internet, Damian right, just upload his pictures and who knows him will send you a dm", she said will full assurance.

"Are you sure this is going to work", I asked.
