Ruthless stared at Vala, his gaze unwavering.

'Geez I am now scared of this girl,' Fire said in Ruthless mind.

'Yeah, Ice Fang should come, sit and learn from her,' Windy said.

'How did she even know your real name master?' Ice Fang asked but Ruthless ignored them.

"Wow, that was a nice long speech, but face the reality girl, I am not attracted to you one bit," Ruthless said. "So all these doesn't move me." He added.

'Lies,' Fire said in a singing tone, "You can't deceive Fate master."

'YES I CAN,' Ruthless said to them as he glared at Vala.

Getting up to her feet, Vala moved to meet Ruthless.

"Don't you like the name?" She asked and didn't wait for Ruthless's answer. "If you don't like it, well, sorry to burst your bubbles pretty boy, I won't change it. At least give me some credit for such an awesome name."

"I didn't ask you,"

"And you are still here arguing," Vala said smiling. "Admit it, you feel something for me like I do for you."

"No."

"Yes,"

"No,"

"You love me, say it."

"I said I DON'T!" Ruthless shouted holding Vala's neck tight.

The wall behind Vala broke into many pieces. The students who were placing their ears on that wall got exposed as they fell down to the ground, they quickly stood up and started running into their various classes.

"Why do you hate that word my Winter?" Vala managed to ask and as if by magic, he let go of her.

Ruthless stared at the hand he used in holding Vala's neck and stared back at Vala who was still staring at him, his hand marks evident in her neck but they were Fading slowly, very slow. Vala fell down to the ground, shaking.

"I am sorry."

It was as if those words he utter have magic because everyone halts and slowly turns to face the guy who never apologises.

"Did he just apologise to her?" One student whispers.

"He didn't even kill her," another said.

"I let my anger get the best of me," Ruthless said and closed the distance between them. He lifted Vala up as if she weighed nothing and carried her in his arms, he headed towards his section of building given to him. The students all scramble away as he comes out of the broken wall of the cafeteria. The fire became visible as it made way for them.

Leaning much closer to Ruthless and resting her head on his chest as she tries to control herself from shaking too hard, but couldn't. Even in her shaking form, she could feel only one side of his chest beating.

Was Zelik wrong about Ruthless having two hearts? She's just hearing only one side of his chest beating.

Or was Ruthless shielding it?

She just forgets about it and rather focuses on the strong arms around her. It feels good and nice. She could feel herself melting.

Ruthless dropped her on the floor gently, by now, the marks on her neck had turned thick black and were spreading.

Vala wondered what's going to happen next as Ruthless stared at her. He suddenly knelt next to her and made her sit upright with the help of his hands.

"Just forget I ever did this," Ruthless said in a very serious tone. "It's the only way to stop the poison I mistakenly unleash in your body from spreading and killing you." He added.

Then he did what Vala didn't expect him to do.

Ruthless kissed her.
