'Life is a lone wolf, scratching out a living with teeth and claws and a heart of stone.'

Athena and Vala (Part 2)

Ignoring her thoughts and focusing on Ruthless. "Deal?"

"Solve the puzzle first." Ruthless said, crossing his arms across his chest as he waited. "Go on." His cold voice prompted Vala to face the rocks. She made to move forward when a slight breeze blew and a beautiful lady appeared in front of her, pushing her back.

Vala who wasn't expecting any attack fell down to the ground.

The Land of Elves:

Queen Alfy and her sister couldn't believe that they were disgraced in front of their people by that useless girl.

Queen Calfy had gone to meet her sister in her room.

"You know, I still can't believe that Vala would disgrace us like that, if it was in this palace, it would have been different." Queen Alfy said.

"She did not only disgrace us in front of our people, but also in front of Galore's Messengers." Queen Calfy chips in angrily. "I swear, I will repay her back in her own coin. And trust me, it's going to be so painful." She added.

"Then we need a plan." Queen Alfy said.

"Yes, but that will be next year when another task is given. We will make sure your daughter comes first, second or third, any of the three would do, then we will use her to get Vala." Queen Calfy explains her plan.

"Wonderful plan sister, Haera will surely emerges the winner."

Wolf City: (Supernatural School).

Vala was up to her feet as she glared at the new beautiful lady standing in front of her whose eyes was on Ruthless.

'Control yourself Vala.'

Vala thought to herself as her glare slowly fades away.

Through her appearance one could tell she's of high status around. She is beautiful no doubt but it's getting into her head.

"What do you think you are doing, uh, low life?" Athena demanded with a dismissed look.

"I and Ruthless made a bet, I want to solve the puzzle to open the veil, if I succeed, he's going to stop his killings." Vala explained with a large smile even though her body is boiling in anger to smack the Lady.

"You? You made a bet with my lover and he agrees? What makes you think you can solve the puzzle. I am a goddess and I haven't solved the puzzle yet, what makes you think you can do what, I, Athena cannot do?" Athena said.

By now, every student and teacher came out to witness what was about to happen.

"The only thing lacking in you which I have is the brain, yours is filled with stones." Vala said. "Now if you will excuse me, I have something to do." She added.

Athena felt insulted and tried to teach Vala a lesson, she was about to bounce on her when Ruthless cold voice stopped her.

"Athena."

That one word alone carries a lot of warning.

Athena heaved out a sigh and went to stand beside Ruthless.

That movement caught Vala but she ignored them and focused on the task before her.

She moved and glanced at one of the rocks, then the second, third and fourth rock.

"The fourth rock is facing East, which is water but there is no river or ocean from the East so which means it's facing the wrong direction." Vala said aloud to herself, not caring if others are hearing her. The chains from her two wrists untangle themselves and encircle the fourth rock, lifting the rock and turning it upside down. "It should face the sky."

The chains let go of the rock and it stayed floating in mid-air.

"This is very tricky." Vala said to herself and pointed at the second rock. "If this is Lava, then it should face the dragon kingdom." She added and her chains circled the second rock and lifted it up to meet the one in the air, it turned the rock around before it joined them together.

She pointed at the first rock. "Magic." And pointed at the third rock, "And finally, Heart."

Joining the two rocks in their rightful position. The four rocks became whole and beamed with light, then it landed and the veil surrounding the whole building was seen before it disappeared.

"So Water, Lava, Magic and Heart was just the answer to the puzzle?" Athena asked in shock. "Why did I not think of this before, I am very wise."

"And also setting the rocks to their rightful positions." Vala said. "But as wise as you are, you ought to know that there is still one more final piece remaining to open the veil. The veil appeared and disappeared which shows that there is still an unsolved puzzle remaining, unfortunately some dumbass lady who calls herself a goddess; probably stole the name, doesn't know it and she says she's wise, wise indeed."

"Did you just insult me? Do you know who I am? I am the goddess of war, Ares sister, the dreaded god of war." Athena asked and didn't wait for Vala to reply before she shouted her war shout and rang towards Vala.

Vala caught the leg aiming for her face and twist it a little bit before letting it go.

"Water means Ice, Lava means Fire." Vala said as she dodged Athena's coming punch. "When Ice and Fire meet, it melts the Heart and creates beautiful Magic, isn't that the last puzzle Mr Handsome?"
