Oh yes, I might have seen dreams of getting married when I was a child but now when I think about all the dilemmas of my I only realise one thing and that is marriage is an absurd concept and I do not even want to get married.

But what is he saying? Has he known who has done this or is he just playing with my mind again?

"What do you think of yourself?" I pointed my index finger to him, raised my eyebrow in a manner to burn him with my stare and took a step toward him so that he can understand he is not my boss.

He didn't say anything because his eyes were almost bulging out from their socket due to utter shock.

"Have you seen yourself? And why do you want to marry me? Don't you have your real girlfriend Sophia to get married?"

His eyes became mysterious and a slight hint of anxiety appeared in his eyes as he wanted to say something but nothing came out of his mouth.

"Now, don't you dare to tell me that she is not your girlfriend! Don't you dare to tell me that you have changed because I know you have not! You can never and I know what I am going to do with you! I know this proposal of marriage is another plan of yours! So Mr Bl-

Before I could complete the sentence he pulled me to his side and changed the directions.

Now, my back was against the wall and he was right ahead of me with anger in his eyes a second he did something which I didn't expect in my life.

Out of nowhere, he captured hold of my waist and plunged his lips over mine.

There was sudden temptation in my body the way it was reacting under his touch was shameful and I realise one thing at that time, he was angry so he was kissing me furiously, I could sense he was asking my permission to devour my soul, he almost nibbled my lower lip in anticipation and if that was not enough I felt his left hand right above my left thigh.

Enough is enough!

I am not an object to pleasing these men!

I captured his collars when he was about to suck my neck and glanced directly at his eyes to let him know what I am going to do with him.

I, Ashley Brooke, decided to do what I should have done months ago, I slapped him! I slapped him hard on his face so that he can never forget who I am!

I slapped him to know what he is asking me to do cannot happen in life!

He was shocked, I could see his left cheek which was burning in anger, I could see his muscles getting tensed, I could see his jaw twitching in anger, I could see his eyes getting watery as they were about to collapse soon.

I moved from his presence and went to collect my bag so that I can leave this place.

" Do you feel anything for John Stewart?" I heard him mumble, his trembling voice was hideous to hear.

"That is none of your business!"

No, I do not feel anything towards him, but what is the matter with you? What is your difficulty? Why you can't understand I have feelings for nobody. Why can't you understand I do not feel anything because I am anxious about all the outcomes.

"It is my business! That's why I am asking you to stay away from him.!"

" and what if I don't? Then what will you do Blake?"

Words were out of my mouth before I could stop them to control the situation.

He took a step forward again in my direction and I took a step back, I saw fire in his eyes as wanted to burn me for his pleasure while I was numb to feel anything.

I lost my balance and fell backwards on the bed. The soft mattress beneath was afraid of what is about to come.

"So you want to shake hands with the enemy?" Ashley Brooke?"

Enemy?

What does he mean by the enemy? I seriously think he has lost his power of thinking and he is now hallucinating as his tiny brain can't work properly!

"What do you mean?" I dare to ask when I saw him coming near to me.

"I saw you two kissing each other!"

First of all that was nothing! And the second thing is what is his problem if he saw me with him? He has dated so many girls in his life, kissed thousands of women as they mean nothing to him, and did god damn everything with them but he has a problem if he kissed me!

"And why it is bothering you too much?" Before I could take control of my body and stand up I saw his bulging figure over me.

"Can't you understand?"

What? What do you want to say? Now, I must tell you if this is a movie and I am the main lead and you are the protagonist then you must declare your underlying love for me. Then you must declare that you have fallen in love with me the first time you saw me, then you must declare that you are dying to get married to me so that you can spend your whole life with me.

However, this is not a fairytale because they are absurd, you made it to give you false hopes. You will never declare anything like that because you don't have anything for me.

"What? What do you want me to understand?

Now he has caged me between his arms, my chest was rising due to my heartbeat, he was glancing direct at my eyes as if he will do something remorseful with his stare.

" he is putting up with revenge so that he can use you against me!"

and yes I knew this isn't a fairy tale this is a harsh reality. Now, of all the reasons he decided to announce that Mr Stewart is planning revenge against him by using me?

"You know what Blake Jensen? I have done a huge mistake in trusting you! I have done a huge mistake in believing that you might not be a bad person from heart, I have done a terrible mistake in accepting your offer months ago because you have made my life a mockery and anything could have been better than this! It would have been better if I have never collided with you in the first place! It would have been better if I have never listened to your declarations! It would have been better if we have never crossed our paths!"

This man must have a skull of stone that's why he was rigid in his position, so I opened my mouth again to outrage him but he put his index finger over my lips.

"I know him more than anybody that's why I am telling you,"

How it is possible? He never had any talk with him, neither did he take any interest in forming a companionship with him.

"How?" I almost yelled at him when his finger was still over my lips.
