Chapter 37: Chapter 37

*Nipuna Pov*

When I felt the push from him for the second time, I couldn’t stop myself and turned around asking “What is your problem?”

“What is your problem?” he asked back staring at my face as he is already facing this side.

“Very mature, Aahil.” I said, shaking my head and turned to stare at the ceiling before covering my face with the hand.

“Why do you always talk about mature thing and the kid thing like some parents do?” His question surprised me, and I turned to see his face.

“If you are acting like a kid, then I will say that right? If you act like an animal, then I would use that word. So, you need not to worry at all.” I replied, smirking and he scowled before getting up.

“I want you to stay away from the arrangements.” He stated when I followed his suit to get ready.

“When did I do anything you want me to?” That’s all I asked before stepping inside the washroom before he could get in and closed the door.

“I can totally see the matured behavior here.” His comment made me chuckle.

“I am pregnant. So, I can do anything.” I shouted back before turning on the shower, but glanced back hearing the sound of the door opening.

“I locked the door.” I said, staring at him in shock.

“It is a little loose, and it doesn’t work so I always use the bolt.” He explained before removing his shirt.

“At least wait until I finish my bath.” I mumbled hiding behind the shower curtain.

“I need to help Mridula with the arrangements and then talk with Dileep.” He commented stepping inside the shower.

“Even I have to help her.” I retorted giving the idea of hiding, knowing it will not matter to him at all.

“We will see about it.” He said increasing the shower level.

“Is that a challenge, Aahil?” I asked, placing my hand on his shoulder to which he stilled but nodded.

“Really?” I asked him again, and he cursed himself before crashing his lips to mine and all I did was laugh at his expressions.

“It is all your fault.” He commented when I was busy in drying my hair.

“Excuse me?” I asked him raising my eyebrow.

“I am late and all the work is on her because of you.” He replied, and I rolled my eyes at his dramatic words.

“Let’s go and tell her the reason why we are late.” I offered and stepped near to the door.

“Are you mad?” he asked and I shrugged before rushing outside, but mad ensure my steps are careful.

“Fine! It is both our faults.” Hearing his words, I stopped and turned to see him walking near to me grumbling.

“Aren’t you such a good boy?” I asked, brushing his hair with my hand making him scowl more and walked away.

“I just woke up late. I hope you didn’t do all the work.” I mumbled, walking near Mridula while Aahil walked away to talk with Dileep.

“I didn’t even start.” She said, and I smiled before staring the discussion about what will we do first and also the food.

“Where is Dileep?” Mridula asked when Aahil joined us.

“He asked about Mom so must have gone to apologize.” He replied, shrugging and then glared at me while I stuck my tongue out.

“Let’s get to work.” She mumbled, staring at both of us, and we did but didn’t stop fighting.

“These flowers will match more than them.” I said shaking my head.

“No! What I am suggesting is more correct.” Aahil said, and Mrdiula sighed between us.

“I need to go out.” We turned to see Dileep informing surprisingly to Mridula and not Aahil.

“Ok!” She mumbled after which he walked away, and I frowned at them.

“Now, we need to decide the lightings.” She said looking at us.

“But what about flowers?” I asked her frowning.

“We will use both.” She replied and took the samples and combined them together, which actually looked better than the single ones.

“You are a genius! See, this is how one should arrange something.” Aahil said mocking me.

“I can totally see how she got it, and you didn’t.” I retorted and he immediately scowled as usual.

“So, the only food list is there to prepare and also few more invitations along with outside decoration.” Mridula mumbled striking out them after the lunch.

“He is a man! So, let him care about the outside decoration.” I said and he immediately stood up.

“One minute!” He mumbled to her before dragging me to stand up and walked near to the corner of the living room to her back.

“What is your problem?” he asked, folding his arms.

“I just said you are a man, Aahil. What is wrong in that?” I replied shrugging.

“Just answer me properly.” He mumbled in a low tone.

“My problem is that just with a single call and a little one side message you are deciding so much then what about how am I with you all these weeks?” I asked staring into his eyes.

“You can be acting.” He pointed out after a few minutes.

“Of course! I need to be given an Oscar then.” I said, shaking my head and walked away before sitting beside Mridula.

When we sat for food selection, I saw Aahil taking the list away from me and so started the tug of the sheet until we heard a moment near to us.

We looked up to see Dilpeep walking near to us, but I didn’t miss the far away look on Mridula’s face while staring at the list.

“You seem to be happy.” Aahil commented, and I can see that Dileep is.

“At least someone is.” I commented, rolling my eyes, and he immediately scowled at me.

“Did I ask you?” Aahil asked, shaking his head, and then I saw Dileep sitting beside Mridula and then nudging her shoulder to make her come out of her thoughts.

They even kind of communicated in the way of signals, making my eyes widen. Ok! What is happening here? I thought, frowning.

“Did you tell her about the party?” Mridula asked.

“Yeah! She will be here tomorrow.” He replied, nodding at her.

“Did you talk to Mom?” Aahil asked, and he shook his head.

“I will go and do it now.” he replied getting up.

“You should because tomorrow is their day, and she should be happy.” I commented and then stared at Mridula frowning not knowing what to even think.

After dinner, we all went inside our rooms, but today I kept my gaze on Tajwar Bhai who never looked at anyone while having dinner except a few times and never looked or talked properly with Mridula.

I kept on thinking about everything and didn’t even know when I fell asleep. The next day, it was a chaos inside the house with arrangements being placed before evening.

“Aahil!” I called him not able to stomach myself while placing the earring.

“What is it?” he asked spraying himself some scent.

“Do you think Dileep has a crush on Mridula?” I asked him and he immediately glanced up to stare at me through the mirror.

“What? Did you forget Mridula is his Bhabhi?” He asked glaring at me.

“Maybe not now! But what about before the marriage. They are really close, and he gives importance to her. Maybe it is possible.” I replied shrugging.

“I don’t think so! I mean, if he really had, then he would have not sat quiet like me.” His words made me stop the hand moments and still for a few seconds.

“Excuse me?” I asked turning around to look at him.

“Nothing!” He replied before stepping outside the room while I tried to understand his words.

After a few minutes, when I got ready, I went downstairs to see him talking with Dileep. I have to find what is he talking about.

“Aahil! We need to talk.” I said, walking near to him.

“I have some special people to meet.” He said walking away.

“I can’t believe you three brothers.” I mumbled before walking away following him, but got stuck with a few guests who stopped me before talking about the good news.

Then I remembered that we didn’t tell anyone, specifically that I am pregnant. I smiled politely and dodged the question regarding how many months I am now before skipping them in search of Aahil.

“Tell me right now, what do you mean by the before comment.” I said in a hard tone when I found him near the corner of the hall.

“I was talking about my crush on Mridula.” He simply replied, but I suck in a breath.

“What?” I asked him barely hearing myself.

“What is Mom doing with her?” he talked to himself and took a step to walk away, but I held his hand.

“You can’t say that to me and then walk away, Aahil.” I said, shaking my head and pushed him back.

“This is important, Nipuna.” He said in a warning tone.

“I do not care about it. Now, tell me clearly what is all that about.” I demanded him.

“Why can’t I? What is it with you, Nipuna? It is not like we married each other because we want to and all this will end within a few months. I can have a crush on anyone, and I can even like someone. Maybe my lover is here at this party.” He continued to talk, but I didn’t want to hear so I released his hand with which he walked away.

After a few minutes, I turned around to see him standing with Dileep and his Dad while his Mom is standing before them. Then Dileep walked away from there while Aunty and Uncle walked to the other side.

Aahil started talking to the guests and laughed with a few women. He even stood so close to one girl and stared directly at me before turning his attention to that girl.

No! I will not cry for this stupid stunt of his. I thought, shaking my head and turned away before walking near to a balcony to see a girl standing near the railing.

“So, you are the famous Amrin. The mistress of the youngest son.” I commented brushing the stupid tears away while I am disappointed for getting a good retort from her for my bitchy comment, and I needed that.
