Chapter 92: Chapter 92

CHAPTER THIRTY FIVE

Sounds of murmurs from the outside could be heard after the news of the Duke who passed away yesterday afternoon spreads while Jungkook and Ha Na stayed inside the Alpha's room.

"Why don't you continue wearing this, Noona?" Jungkook asked, handing the pink silk with his scent covering it.

"Why?" Ha Na raised her eyebrows, glancing at Jungkook and then to the silk.

"So that anyone would know that you are the Luna of the Moon Pack." He smiled nervously, scratching the back of his neck and his hands started to slightly shake due to the outraging anxiety supplying inside him. "We wouldn't want to confuse others with your human scent,"

He cowered down when he knew that his noona must've notice his edgy and tensed behaviour as his cheeks flushed before mumbling. "Especially when we aren't mated yet."

"Pardon?"

Jungkook cleared his throat, lowering his eyes down as he blushed furiously and fidgeted with his fingers along with the silk. "I promise I'll buy a bracelet or any jewellery next time."

She giggled, nodding before grabbing the silk from Jungkook making his breath caught in his throat when her flesh of skin met with Jungkook's hands. He tugged his lips between his teeth, looking up to see covering her trying to tie the silk but fails every single time.

"L-Let me do it." He shuddered, offering as his cheeks went deep shade of red, and Ha Na responded with a nod.

Jungkook tightened his jaw, going behind her. He formed his hands into a tight fist, his chest heaving up and down as his heart galloped along. His swallowed thickly, a lump forming on his throat and slowly lifting his hands in a slow motion. He couldn't deny the funny feeling inside his stomach as he hasn't experience being this close to her though there were few times such thing happened but the tingling sensation he was feeling right now wasn't even a joke.

His eyes flickered down to her soft fingertips that was holding the silk and awaited for him to grab from behind. He took this time to admire those hands that he wanted to join with his.

With his hands slightly touching her fingertips, grabbing the silk from her hands, he slowly pulled the silk over her mouth from behind before slowly tying it making the other’s heart flutters.

She just gave him a warm smile but falters when her eyes landed at Jungkook's mother who looked disheartened, distress, and dispirited as she walked towards her room.

"Something's wrong with your mother." Ha Na muttered, turning around in worry, and Jungkook looked over to see his mother.

Without any thought, the two ran after Caroline who was inside her room, bawling out with tears devastatingly running down her face. Jungkook's breath hitched witnessing the saddened figure. "Mom, why do you looked upset?"

Ha Na watched behind with Jungkook sitting beside his mother before squeezing her into a tight embrace of comfort.

"If only I k-knew," She choked on her sobs, covering her face with her trembling hands while her son held her closely to him. "If I knew that he was alive the whole time—If I knew he was a Duke—"

Jungkook's heart softened, and aches whenever he hears the cries of suffering from his mother. "Mom? What's wrong? Tell me."

He didn't want his mother to get hurt, and seeing her being sorrowful this way, it hurts him.

"Ma," The Alpha breathed in, nuzzling his face on his mother's hair. "It's okay. Everything will be alright."

"I'm sorry—" She cried out as her heart continue to shatter in torture, hurt, unhappiness and heartbreak. The cries of grief, misery, and anguish resonated the room as well while the two tried to comfort her down.

The two mates comforted Caroline until she fell asleep, and didn't even manage to know the reason of her crying. All they ever heard was incoherent words from the Tía. Ha Na stood up from the bed, releasing a sigh as she dusted herself off.

"Where are you going?" Jungkook asked, patting her mother softly like a child.

"I think your mother needs you more, Jungkook-ah." She smiled, and the alpha nodded in understanding, even gesturing her to go.

As she went out of Caroline's room, she dashed towards her room but a loud shriek escaped her mouth as a figure suddenly appeared out of nowhere. She slightly squealed in horror when the person suddenly grasped her with sincere embrace while the man releases sobs. She tried to fight off his strength but he just squeezed her more.

"Who are you?"

Instead of speaking, the man just tightened his clasp, and butterflies exploded in her stomach with her heart started racing, making her confused.

Why was she feeling this way?

"Please help me..." The silver haired man uttered with a pleading voice as he snuggled making her squeak when his nose touched her neck that sent an electrifying spark down to her spine.

"My heart hurts..." He continue to cry, needing someone to be there, and to be leaned on. Tears dripped wet on Ha Na's clothes, and for some reason, she just let it slide. She knew that the man needed someone to comfort him even without knowing why.

Sighing, she asked. "How come you are here?"

The man let out a sniffle "I don't know why I came here but—" he sobbed again. "Please let me be with you for a second."

She blinked her eyes as her face heated, flustered by the sudden affectionate words. She quietly asked again, trying to calm his beating heart and patting the back of the man, awkwardly. "What happened?"

"He left us..." He sniffled, eyebrows lines when he heard an odd sound, and it only fathoms him that the beautiful music in his ears was the sound of—

Her beating heart.

And he wouldn't even question it as his heart was in the same rhythym as hers.

"What? What happened?" She groaned, awkwardly trying to get out from the embrace.

"H-Hyung left us already." He stuttered, feeling his body goes numb but the sound of the heart thumping against her chest somehow gave comfort and energy to him as well.

And she wondered what to do with such situation.

She took a deep breath, and finally pulled the man away from her, searching for his eyes. "What's your name?"

"Kim Taehyung."

She stiffened. Why does that name sounds familiar?

When their eyes met each other, she let out an audible gasped. "It's you! Aren't you Jimin's friend?"

"Yes, I am." He nodded, his lips still puckered from pouting. His eyes were red and puffy from crying.

Her expression softened and her heart swelled to see the silver haired man with his brown orbs of eyes like hers. Her eyes went massive when she realised she was staring, eyes wavering from his.

"What are you doing here, by the way?" She mumbled, looking away.

"I came to deliver the news to Jimin but I'm guessing he found out before I could tell him." He replied, honestly.

"I forgot that Jimin's still in this territory." Ha Na mumbled. "So how was he dealing after hearing the news?"

"He wasn't dealing it well." A glum look was plastered on his face, and she flinched a little but.

"I'm sorry for your loss but I know everything will be alright." The sound of her voice was rather flat, and Taehyung found it amusing.

Taehyung's mournful expression was turned into a loud laugh, tears streaming down in happiness rather than sadness.

"What now?" She groaned, puzzled.

"You suck at comforting." Taehyung told her, containing his laugh.

"I know." She genuinely smile making him smile as well.

Taehyung bit his lips, before trying to change the topic. "You are the Luna, right?"

"Yeah? I guess?" She responded, unsure if it was the right answer or not. "You? I'm guessing you're someone important since you are a Duke's friend."

"You guess I am." He teased, winking at her making her flustered despite the silk that covered half of her face.

She put out a frown—not a true one, and hissed at him. "You shouldn't be here, young man. Your girlfriend might be trying to find you."

Taehyung smiled, uneasy but growled playfully. "First of all, I'm not a young man. I'm literally older than you."

"And second, She's not my girlfriend but a fiancée." He added cockily. Of course, he'd be proud that the woman he loves and cherishes became his woman.

"Fiancée?"

"Yeah." He nodded, smiling eagerly and pure happiness. "Her name Min Ha Na."

The lady froze for a while, her breath hitched. It has the same name as me.

Taehyung noticed how the young lady looked stiff. "What's your name?"

"I'm sorry—" She shuddered, stepping back and panic arises. "I won't tell you."

Taehyung looked at her, wondering why not? As he tried to read her thoughts, he was baffled.

That's strange, how come I can't read her thoughts? Taehyung thought. He assumed that only Ha Na has the capability to block him.

Both of them jerked their head off towards Ha Na's room, hearing a loud scream coming from the room.

"I have to go. Something's going on."

Taehyung looked flabbergasted, watching as Ha Na darted away from him before he could say goodbye. He was just staring as she goes far away.

Far away from his distance.
