Chapter 85: Chapter 85

CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT

The next morning, everything was so peaceful, including the breeze of the wind, color of the sky, sounds of the bird chirping, and the quietness of the room except Hanisha's mind. She was restless the whole night thinking about a certain object. She was so close to obtaining but she failed miserably last night.

She tightly closed her eyes, and sighed in relief when she felt Taehyung's arms wrapping around her waist with his large hands interlocking together, and making sure she won't leave his grasp. She smiled knowingly before squirming, and facing him.

"Kim Taehyung..." She mumbled under her breath, tracing the outline of his nose. "You will soon be mine."

"But I wouldn't appear myself yet..." She sighed, quickly unwrapping herself slowly and backed away from him. "I have to find that ring first."

The ring was the only key that helps her with her mission in pretending to be as Ha Na. As long as she have that ring with Taehyung's scent, he will think of her as Ha Na. She knew that Taehyung was already doubting her because he can't smell her scent. If she has that ring, it will cover her, and Taehyung will be able to smell his own scent.

She was taking a risk last night as Taehyung was begging her to stay with him for the night, and she was surely hoping that Taehyung wouldn't try to smell an ounce of scent.

Taehyung really did find it off and odd for her to have no scent entering his nose. He was at least hoping to smell her scent even though he was hoping to smell his scent from her because of the ring. Knowing her taking off the ring, his scent wouldn't be anywhere visible around her.

She took a deep breath before darting herself out of the room, and even met Seokjin on the way out.

"Hey Seokjin." She smiled cockily with that annoying smile plastered on her lips.

"Hanisha..." He gritted his teeth, taken aback awhile ago at her sudden appearance inside Taehyung's bedroom.

"What are you doing here?" He growled slightly, not pushing himself to the limit. "What did you do to Taehyung?"

"No need to worry." Hanisha giggled, and smirked. "I didn't do anything but just slept beside him since he was asking for me last night."

Seokjin huffed in disbelief, giving a piercing glare at the witch.

"Have you thought about it?" The witch suddenly asked.

"You already started it, what is there to think?" Seokjin snapped making Hanisha laughed in amusement, and the Duke wasn't getting it. "How did you even survive that time?"

Hanisha's laughter died down when the man asked her a sudden question that caused her to remember what happened that time.

"You're asking how?" She asked with sourness in her voice. "Well, let's say that you did sucked my life out back then. But you have to remember that the one you almost killed that time is a witch."

Something in Seokjin's nerve was hit. Of course, he didn't know that the one he almost killed before was a witch until now.

"If I were a human that time, I could've died but I'm not. I survived with my powers." She sneered, remembering something. "Funny how you even inherited one of my powers."

"One of your powers?" Seokjin squeaked, baffled by what the witch was telling.

"The ability to forget memories. Ring a bell?" She said in a sarcastic tone making Seokjin flabbergasted. "Why? You thought it was one of the Duke's speciality?"

"Well, surprise! It's from me." She retorted, rolling her eyes.

Seokjin's jaw was dropped, his lips was parted and heart dropped to his stomach. He thought, Is that why Taehyung once said that I obtained a special power that a vampire couldn't have?

"B-But what are you doing here? What's your sole purpose? It couldn't be that you came for me only to have your revenge shits." He spat bitterly.

"What do you mean?" She smiled, putting out an act of innocence.

"What's your purpose of coming here?!" Seokjin snapped, eyes got watery as he gritted his teeth in anger.

Hanisha giggled, tapping her lips with her own fingertips. "I don't know? Maybe to gain what was mine in the first place?"

"What?" He growled, clenching his fist. "That throne belongs to Ha Na."

"I am technically Ha Na in Taehyung's eyes." She grinned cheekily, and it annoyed the Duke even more.

"No..." Seokjin shook his head, ruffling his hair in frustration. He jerked his head towards her and confidently glared at her direct into the eyes.

"Why are you here pretending to be Ha Na? What happened to Ha Na?"

She shrugged. "Weren't you the one who left her in the forest, Jin? What do you think happened to her?"

His eyes widened, and feeling his entire body goes numb.

"You witch!" He hissed, shooting her a death glare.

"I'm already a witch." Hanisha snickered before vanishing again, and leaving Seokjin alone.

As Hanisha vanished, she landed outside the palace, swaying her red silk float dress.

"There you are." She stopped her tracks, and turned around to see the familiar man whom she've known for a while.

It was the same man who talked to her before everything happened. He has been warning her to stop with all the destiny in which Hanisha finds it amusing and ridiculous.

"It's you again." She mocked with a stern voice, rolling her eyes and interlocking her hands, silently fidgeting them out of nervousness.

"What are you doing here?" She groaned, avoiding an eye contact with him and trying to act noble and brave enough. She knows that the man can read her like a book.

The man has a cut on his left cheeks and his hair covering the left portion of his eyes. She was guessing he must be powerful enough now that she couldn't even beat him anymore.

"I told you to stop fooling around with everyone’s destiny." The mysterious man said, and chuckled but the seriousness was still there.

"I asked, what are you doing here?!" Hanisha repeated, now looking at him with her glossy eyes, and having the courage to face him this time.

"You cannot break destiny, Hanisha. Stop playing with it or else you'll suffer the consequences." He sneered.

"Stop joking around ugly man." She snarled, glaring at him and her palm glowed a green smoke. "You are no one but someone unimportant. You cannot change what is about to happen no matter how much you try."

The man noticed her hands glowing and ready to attack him causing him to snort at the sight, shaking his head in disbelief.

"I know everything too well, Hanisha." He smirked, stepping forward while watching the lady who was acting tough yet deep down, cannot do anything.

"Remember this," He smiled creepily, eyeing the woman. "There's a saying that says: I certainly do not belong to you."

And with that, the man vanished, or more like speeds his way far away that no one can reach him—not even the most powerful witch. Hanisha’s body slumped down, chest heaved up and down as she gritted her teeth in anger.

"You do not know anything about me," She scorned, knuckles turning into white as the once green smoke turned into red like lava.

With a burst of anger, she screamed with tears tickling down her cheeks. "I only control my destiny, and no one else can control my life!"
