Chapter 76: Chapter 76

CHAPTER NINETEEN

Taehyung's eyes opened— blankly stared at the ceiling of his bedroom, absentminded of the surroundings as his brain still recalls the past events that happened. Everything was played in his mind, every single detail. From him being separated from his family to meeting Ha Na, his soulmate.

"I'm sorry," Seokjin muttered, cold shivers sent down his spine as his heart beats rather fast. If he was a human, he'd be drenched from the sweats now.

He tapped Taehyung's forehead with his index finger, removing a certain memory in his mind that creates a small bubble, and showing the image of Taehyung and Ha Na who has their body united that night. His eyes widened, lips quivered and his fingers shakes, quickly grabbing Taehyung's memory that was wrapped in a bubble before speeding himself off as soon as he heard the door knob clicked.

Gladly, the witch left the window open that made it even easier for Seokjin to get out as soon as possible, and jumped out of the bedroom to the Legendary Garden.

Taehyung's bedroom has a window that lets him see the Legendary Garden where his first Queen died, specifically that tree he proclaimed as the Legendary Tree.

Seokjin gasped, and stopped once he was far away from the palace while his hand gripped on the small bubble that has Taehyung's memory in it. He raised it up, glancing as the images played inside.

"This is the only way to protect your soulmate, Taehyung." he whimpered, sighing in both relief and nervousness. "And to protect your child if she ever bare one."

Seokjin knew that the witch would explore Taehyung's memory to replace Ha Na's position as hers. That the witch would try everything to become like Ha Na, and if she ever finds this memory, she would do everything to kill her.

With that, Seokjin smashed the bubble into small particles, and the memories vanished into thin air making him take a deep breath.

On the other hand, the witch entered Taehyung's bedroom again knowing that he'll be awake anytime soon. She walked towards him but halted her steps when she noticed the window open and the breeze of wind coming inside.

"I forgot to lock it again." She groaned, rolling her eyes before marching her way and closed the window. She turned around, approaching Taehyung and eyes widened in surprise to see him awake but in a state of frozen. She knew that the man was still slowly taking in his memories inside his brain.

"I guess you're awake now." She forced out a smile, eyeing him. Knowing that he's awake, she mumbled. "Let the show begin."

The witch smirked, turning around and leaving Taehyung on the bed that was still paralyze— processing his memories.

While he laid there, his fingers moved, body flinched as soon as the memories are completely restored in his brain. Taehyung can still remember everything— except the memory of him and Ha Na consummated that night, but there was a slight change in his memory that he didn't have any idea about. He may have completely forgotten about him uniting one with his soulmate, he still couldn't forgot those touches he received that still lingers in his skin.

It was crawling on his skin to the point that a single tear rolled down his cheeks, and his heart shattered when something inside him felt completely empty.

He felt lost.

His dried throat aches as he tried to gulped down his saliva. He breathed in, letting the freshness entered his nose. He scrunched his nose, feeling wetness on his cheeks as he furrowed his eyebrows and snickered. "Why am I crying?"

Taehyung winced as he tried to lift his legs but to no avail, he couldn't. He tried to raise his arms but it was still the same. He hissed, whining at the sudden lack of strength in his entire body. "Why does it feel like I haven't used my legs for months?!"

He tried to struggle but the movements he did shot him back with great pain. "For fuck's sake! I'm the strongest vampire yet I couldn't even lift a limb!" He snarled at himself.

He inhaled sharply, closing his eyes tightly as he remembered the eldest Duke.

Hyung? Taehyung called, using his telepathy ability to connect with Seokjin.

His ability was different than others. It was the type of ability where he could control himself hearing such thoughts and communicating with others through minds. He could even block anyone from hearing him.

Unlike Seokjin, there are times where he could hear thoughts unexpectedly yet sometimes he could control it.

Taehyung? Seokjin cleared his throat from far away palace.

Can you help me? Taehyung's stomach suddenly grumbled making him groan. Why is it that he feels hungry?

What is it, Tae? Seokjin asked, trying to be nonchalant about it.

Help me up. Taehyung replied, and without any single second, Seokjin arrived in his bedroom.

The Duke's eyes widened to see Taehyung still on his bed, and not moving making him confused.

"Help me, hyung!" Taehyung growled once he sensed the Duke's scent inside his bedroom.

Seokjin noticed, darting his way towards Taehyung and helping him up.

"Did something happen these past few days because—fuck!" Taehyung hissed, before he scorned. "Because it feels like I've been bedridden and haven't eaten for years!"

Seokjin's eyes widened, completely forgetting that a vampire would completely lost its strength once he won't eat for days nor got out from it's sleep.

Elisse, Namjoon's soulmate, once experienced it too— everyone has experience it, including him when he was inside the dungeons locked by Namjoon. But that's not the point; how would Taehyung asked some questions?

Seokjin started to wonder some questions— with Taehyung who blocked his ability.

That witch removed his memories already?! His eyes widened as realization hits him. If so, how far could Taehyung remember about what happened? Did he forgot about the incident with Namjoon?! Has he forgotten about Ha Na?

No. Impossible!

If he still got the memory of the consummation, that means he hasn't forgotten Ha Na yet.

That witch! How far did she go to remove his memories?!

Seokjin shook his head, trying to get such thoughts out of his mind and remembering that Taehyung might hear him. But him being curious about it, he became agitated to the point that he mumbled Namjoon's name.

"What, hyung?" Taehyung knotted his eyebrows together in confusion, looking at him as he sat at the edge of the bed.

"Namjoon—" Seokjin's jaw clenched, eyes locked with the younger. "Do you remember someone named Namjoon? Kim Namjoon?"

That's when Seokjin's heart dropped to his stomach and his world shattered.

"Namjoon? Who is that, hyung?"

No way... The Duke's eyes blinked twice, trying to digest the king's words. That witch removed Namjoon's existence in his memories?

"Witch? What witch?" Taehyung chuckled, accidentally opening his train of thoughts and unintentionally heard his hyung's mind. "Witches doesn't exist anymore, Hyung."

Seokjin scowled at him making Taehyung laughed, immediately raised his hands in defeat. "Fine, I will block it now."

The king abruptly blocked his ability making Seokjin had the chance to sneer at him.

Who said witches still don't exist? He was even surprised to know that one of the race is someone so close to them.

"Cool," Taehyung gasped, looking at his hands. "I'm completely fine now."

He flail his hands up and down with his legs rocking back and forth.

"Of course you would be." The Duke retorted, rolling his eyes. "You aren't the King of Vampires for nothing."

The younger just laughed at him. "But hyung,"

Taehyung stood up from his bed, suspiciously locked his yes with the elder. "Who is Namjoon?"

Frozen; the duke mentally cursed.

"Is it someone you know?"

"Not really." The elder lied, shaking his head and forcing out a smile. "I just heard his name somewhere."

Taehyung just nod, passed by Seokjin's side and darted his way out of the bedroom, leaving Seokjin's completely dumbfounded.

If Namjoon was removed, does that mean Taehyung's memories will entirely change?

Is this why the witch asked everyone to keep their mouth shut; even asked me to keep Hoseok's mouth shut? So she could control Taehyung's memories?

Seokjin wondered, having a lot of questions that will never probably be answered.
