Chapter 31: Chapter 31
CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE
"SEOKJIN HYUNG!" Taehyung's voice boomed throughout the room making everyone's eyes followed him as he approached Ha Na and Seokjin with his face—red as a chilli pepper.
However, Seokjin didn't even budge from his position and continued to hug the lady. The smirk was evident on the Duke's face.
"S-Seokjin." Ha Na started to stutter, frightened and tried to get away from his grip yet Seokjin still stood frozen.
The next thing everyone knew was that the Duke was sent flying across the room, pain sent throughout his entire body as his body collided with the wall—creating a large crack of hole on the wall.
Everyone's eyes bulged out of their sockets, witnessing the scene unfold in front of them. They were all watching with horrifying expressions while Taehyung abruptly grabbed Ha Na's wrist making her yelped. She glanced to see the ruler who was big time furious about the situation.
Ha Na's expression fell when his cold gaze met hers and shot her a glare mixed with pain expression. She heard voices from the guests and sneerings. Some of them gasped and were surprised.
"Y-Your Majesty..." Ha Na stuttered as he dragged her towards Seokjin who was still leaning on the wall, blood oozing out of his thick lips. She almost stumbled because her gown was heavy and long with her heels hurting already.
Taehyung stopped in front of the Duke, still holding her soft hands rather aggressively. He huffed in disbelief to see that the Duke— his own fellow moaned in pain. But what made him astonished was that Seokjin looked up at him, smirking.
It infuriated Taehyung.
Ha Na took a glimpse at Taehyung whose eyes delivered betrayal. Her heart ached when his lips trembled as he shot a sharp look at the eldest Duke. His piercing stares could blow up a person if possible.
The young king's eyes widened in anger, gritting his teeth before saying words in a half yell and half whisper tone. "Don't you dare touch what is mine, Kim Seokjin!"
Taehyung growled, nose flared and hot air released from his nose. His voice cracked for a moment there. But it wasn't noticeable for the guests. It seemed scary enough especially when he emphasized the word 'mine'
With that, he dragged Ha Na away from the place, and away from Kim Seokjin—literally anyone who stays near his woman.
Taehyung sure had strength that could beat more than a thousand vampires. He is that powerful—most powerful of all creatures that existed. No one could beat him except his weakness that no one knows about.
If Seokjin wasn't a Duke—no powers and strength, he could've been dead already.
With Seokjin wiping off the blood from his mouth, he groaned and stood up with Hoseok by his side helping him already. He glanced at the younger Duke and nodded before yanking his arms away harshly as he walked out of the room.
Thinking about it, Seokjin swore he just heard Taehyung's thoughts—as if he was in emotional pain, and Seokjin's soft gaze met Taehyung's cold gaze a while ago.
'Please don't betray me like what he did, Seokjin Hyung.'
That's what Taehyung exactly delivered to him. Seokjin knew what the ruler meant. He felt guilty for using this kind of tactic to let Taehyung prove and confess his own love towards Ha Na.
It was his idea. This way, the young king wouldn't be confused with his own feelings anymore. Seokjin wanted that.
Thinking about it, the Duke couldn't help but smirked back then. One thing that he knew and confirmed just now was that, Taehyung really loves the young human lady—his human and his soulmate.
With Taehyung's betrayed expression awhile ago, it still circled around the elder's mind. Although Taehyung hated admitting it, Seokjin was pretty sure the younger really cares for his soulmate deep inside.
Maybe, the young ruler just acted cold and scary but when it comes to his woman, he is more soft and can act fluff towards her.
However, it was wrong for the elder to read the mind of the King when he shouldn't have. But he knew that Taehyung was trying to connect with his mind too—the fact that Taehyung said those words even knowing about Seokjin reading minds.
"Hyung?" The smell of the familiar scent entered the elder Duke's sensitive nose as he turned around to see Jimin.
He cocked his eyebrows up. "What is it, Jimin?"
"Are you alright?" Jimin frowned and the elder just nodded. Should he feel alright? With this heart of his that is unintentionally aching right now?
"I'm fine. No need to worry." A sigh left Seokjin's mouth, reassuring the younger. "You better see what's happening between Taehyung and Ha Na right now. He might not be able to control himself despite his affection towards her."
Jimin just nodded and smiled reluctantly but eventually left the elder behind. The behaviour made Seokjin started to wonder about Jimin.
The boy may looked so heartless—with him trying to kill his and Taehyung's soulmate, and killing all the King's blood slaves—He is still the softest person you would ever encounter when it comes to Ha Na.
If Seokjin had the ability to measure the love of Taehyung and Jimin towards Ha Na, he would rather say Jimin cares and loves her more. He knows why Jimin did what he did, and he knew every intentions the younger did when it comes to Ha Na. Especially when Jimin tried to kill his soulmate.
Although Seokjin doesn't know the reason, but he somehow understands the younger. Ha Na is everything to Jimin and Taehyung's everything is Ha Na as well. But they were destined to have a tragic love story—a story where one will be everything to someone and that someone will be everything to the other.
Nevertheless, Seokjin hoped to have a happy ending this time. An ending where everyone will be happy and no one would be hurt.
Even though Seokjin wanted everyone to let go of the past, including his past, he couldn't control them. It's their life and decisions. If they want to forget, then he will let them be.
If Taehyung nor Jimin doesn't want to forget their past and her. Then Seokjin will let them be, he will gladly help them.
It's their life after all, he doesn't have any control over them as he is the second to the weakest Duke only.
